jesus christ... omg... how is this even real!????? worst ever, do NOT EVERRRR take online exam. Servsafe what the heck is this!???????????????

If you're reading this then you probably already know that ProctorU is HORRIBLE. You will find a good technician once you go through four bad ones. Some of them don't even try to help. Some of them send you to another technician and close the chat before you've even successfully been transferred. Then you have to explain your situation from 0 again. They have no ticket system, that keeps information so the technicians can get up to date. You have to manually type to 10 different people until someone finally knows what they are doing. That's another thing, the technology knowledge for most of their workers are BARE MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE. I have technicians closing my MSI Afterburner and Voicemeter Banana thinking they could be cheating software....My advice, would be have lightshot downloaded and take screenshots of everything to prove you have tested your equipment and the issues are not on your end.

Got disconnected from an exam. Tried calling 4 times and two operators hung up on me. Was online taking my exam for 2 hours and only had 12 questions left. Now they're just saying I have to take it all over again. Over 600 one star reviews, how is this company still in business? What a joke.

I wish I could give zero stars. Horrible process. Went through 4!!!!! Techs who remotes into my computer and none of them were able to fix my camera problem. My camera clearly said it was on and none of them were able to get it to turn on.
Called on the phone and the phone tech just said, ehhh let the chat person help you.

Within seconds of my GRE exam starting, I was barred from doing the exam because the exam software flagged the ProctorU software as a cheating software, even though the exam was supposed to be done throught ProctorU. I was never able to querry what happened, and recieven no feedback dispite my numerous compaints to the GRE and Proctor help desks.

This happened in January 2023, but the review wont allow me to input such a far date

My review:
First, lots of technical problems with online proctors incompetence made it extremely difficult and stressful. Browser crashed several times. When I had questions, they remained silent. When the proctor speaks, I don't understand her English.

Second, CA bar exam is the most difficult one in United States. Proctor did not talk to me after logged in 45 minutes. When I was going through the scan process, the proctor remained silent and did not confirm or respond where and what do they want to scan or see. Instead they type things on the window. I found that they are extremely incompetent to give instructions and lacked professional training.

Last, I was interrupted by proctor 5 times in total. They randomly moved my mouse and caused distraction for sure. And the anxiety was real and we should have more gracious time if the proctor interrupts us or makes us wait 45 minutes or few hours before you can start. We were completely ignored by the state bar. I was hungry, tired and mentally broken after each delay and crash.

And on top of everything, their platform was way outdated. The typing window are quite small and I end up losing track of analysis.

disconnects, broken timers, and broken spell check are my top problems with the CA bar.

It was an absolutely terrible experience, I waited 4 h to take the exam then on final exam when the proctor had to enter the password their password didn't work they entered the wrong password ...not to mention they can look into all of your personal files and take pic of all of your space even this is an open book exam. The lack for privacy and security of your personal data is here.I have to schedule 3 time in order to take the exam ...absolutely awful, unprofessional, and disgusting experience ....OMG terrible

Idiotic way of taking an online exam. Before I could start my 1 hour exam it took me 50 minutes (!!!!!) to jump through all kind of hoops for someone in India to prove I am not cheating, at an OPEN BOOK exam for god sake. Not even starting about the fact they wanted me to remove people behind me in the hallway visible through the glass wall from walking there. Absolutely terrible experience. Told my employer I will never cooperate again taking exams from this platform. And yes, I did pass the exam with a 98% score so thats not the reason for my bad review.

Disastrous every time. Absolutely horrible user experience and customer service. Enough to make you second guess even studying which is very sad. The only thing I can say is, the technical issues and terrible customer experience makes the actual exams seem easier in comparison…

Proctor U is an awful way to test. You will have 10+ proctors, all of which take pictures of your personal space, your id. They do not have a manager that "entertains" phone calls...horrible, unprofessional....

Bad. Highly disappointed student. Finished 2 maths tests with them and my institution did not even receive the tests I had completed 2 days ago. You will regret using them. They do not refund you even if their servers and Gaurdian Browser stop working mid testing. The only good point was the proctor I had on my 2 tests, wonderful individual. The waiting time is horrendous. Do not use this company. @Proctoru Please improve if you want people to keep coming back and using you, my review will be a positive one if you refund me the fee you owe me or at least provide me with another fair chance. Your technical issues and refunding are horrendous AND JUST A MESS. Take it seriously. Listen to your clients, after all theres no one better to listen to to improve your service than the person making use of your business. These are people's lives you are playing with!

Disconnected in the middle of my LSAT argumentative writing essay. Absolutely ridiculous the Law School Admission Council uses this janky, trash, malfunctioning, nonsense. I'm beside myself.

Poor platform, doesn't work

ProctorU is the worst online proctoring system I have ever encountered, it is an absolute nightmare from start to finish, the system is completely invasive and unreliable, forcing students to give remote access to their computers and webcams while treating them like criminals, the proctors are either overly strict or completely clueless, making the exam process even more stressful than it already is, they take forever to start the test, make students wait endlessly, and sometimes flag innocent behavior as cheating for no reason, the software itself is a disaster, constantly freezing, disconnecting, or crashing in the middle of an exam, and when that happens, the student is the one who suffers, not their broken system, customer support is completely useless, they take forever to respond and offer no real solutions, if their system falsely accuses you of cheating, good luck, because they will not help you, you will be left fighting to prove your innocence while they refuse to take responsibility for their failures, this system is beyond stressful, it turns a simple exam into a horrifying experience, students have reported extreme anxiety and panic attacks because of how oppressive and unfair it is, universities and institutions should be ashamed for using such a flawed and privacy-invading system, ProctorU should be avoided at all costs, it is nothing but a disaster, unreliable, untrustworthy, and completely unnecessary.

It’s really as bad as the reviews claim. Constant technical issues across multiple devices, long waiting times, and little resolution for time lost during exams.

The damn page wouldn’t load and I kept seeing the same error message over and over. Tried customer support through the icon and was beyond a joke. Wouldn’t work and when I thought I reached a breakthrough to connect to a human, I would get cut off. Tried calling the number and got cut off twice. What sort of company is this? Total sham. To think I booked a remote exam because I thought it would ease my nerves and anxiety and they just made it a whole lot worse. Extremely stressful experience.
