Exceptional Experience

Having visited an alternative 'high ranking' department store in Ipswich, where the curtain department staff were awful, rude and unhelpful, I went to Glasswells. WOW. The staff were professional, helpful, very knowledgeable and pleasure to deal with. I was assisted by Charlotte Hearn who was exceptional in every way. Well done 👏 💯%. I will definitely visit again.

High quality service

Visited the bedding department late this afternoon to choose a new mattress. Did think about not going today, assuming staff would be focussed on going home and timing not good. Not at all. Peter Harrison and colleague Jack gave us full attention and plenty of time. Peter listened to our differing needs from our mattress (!). He had various ideas and excellent knowledge. He offered helpful, interested service. We found what we hope will be the solution to long standing mattress issues.

No pressure

There was no pressure to buy and the service was courteous and discreet. We ended up purchasing a new suite and table and chairs all of which were top quality and good value for money. Certainly would recommend Glasswells for household purchases.

On a recent visit to Glasswells to choose a bed and mattress I had the pleasure of being looked after by Peter, the customer service provided was excellent. Peter was really helpful and knowledgeable and helped us pick the bed and answered all our questions when it came to choosing the right mattress for us. The whole experience was excellent, we were so grateful for all his help. Great job!

Excellent service

The friendly assistant was helpful and well informed without being pushy. We felt under no pressure to buy, but were given expert knowledge that helped us decide what to purchase.

Bed base and mattress

Having looked at nationwide chains for beds and mattresses we decided to go and check out Glasswells in Bury St Edmunds. Glad we did as the showroom was well stocked with a wide range to choose from at surprisingly competitive prices. Our sales assistant Peter was very knowledgeable and helpful.

Great food & customer service here

Great food & customer service here. Our bacon baps Saturday morning were beautiful filled with bacon and mushrooms. Service from Kayley & Rachel was great constant smile whilst running around a busy restaurant.

Look forward to going back here soon.

I visited the Ipswich store resturant today the girls were lovely, highly recomemd the mushroom soup and the pudding of the day was vanilla & chocolate sponge with chocolate sauce, well done ladies

This is the 3rd time I have had to…

This is the 3rd time I have had to complain about 2 bathroom floors that were laid incorrectly, with plastic causing a hole and now a bent nail which would eventually caused another hole. Sealant not used correctly and tape and underfloor board not used but still charging me! I have spoke to Flooring manager who probably knows me very well now! I have been refunded for items not used, but this is now the third time I’ve complained and now the whole bathroom floor needs replacing. Not satisfied with the service I received other than the guys who came round today to help rectify some issues. Not offered any compensation considering the hassle we have had to endure. Not great customer service especially from someone I have used for years. Thank you for your feedback, but let’s be honest none of the issues I had should never have happened if the floors had been done correctly and professionally in the first place.

Thank you for your feedback. When the issues were brought to our attention, we arranged return visits promptly, inspected the flooring, sourced replacement vinyl and carried out the additional preparation work required to complete the job correctly.

While we appreciate it was frustrating for further visits to be needed, the issues raised were investigated and resolved, and you were kept updated throughout the process.

We value your custom over the years and, whenever problems are raised with us, we do our best to put them right as quickly as possible.

We're so pleased with the service we…

We're so pleased with the service we received from Glasswells from the initial purchase of our carpets to the fitting of them. Jon, was extremely polite and helpful and made it a stress free experience. The quality of the carpets is excellent and we managed to purchase the carpets in the sale which was a bonus. It's always a pleasure shopping here. Thank you to Jon and the skilled carpet fitting team.

Pillows.

I went to Glasswells today upon recommendation as Peter H was so helpful when they bought their pillows and are very pleased with the choice made.

Peter served me today and I was delighted to be served by him. He not only had a very good knowledge of the products sold to make suggestions but when I explained my various health issues he listened, understood and then guided me through options to suit my needs, with lots of options to try. I tried many pillows before deciding and he was happy to get more to help me choose. Cannot fault his service. It was marvellous. Thank you.

I hadn’t been to Glasswells before. What a super shop. I also had a light lunch in the cafe which I enjoyed.

I shall be returning, particularly on a day Peter is there, I would like to thank him again for his attention to detail and very pleasant service and to get more help as I will be buying more there for various needs.

Excellent customer service ( Lawrence)

We dealt with Lawrence when we recently purchased our corner sofa with matching ottoman ,he was so knowledgeable ,friendly and helpful, in fact we have spoken to a few of the team as we have visited many times whilst trying to make our decision, no hard sell just good advice, everyone is so friendly,Adrian is also really helpful

Unbelievable service

We arranged an appointment with the specialist sales assistant in the curtain department. She kept asking a colleague for help with our questions.
We arranged for a visit to measure the windows. This was cancelled by Glasswells and eventually after three months they arrived to measure, and we placed an order.
We understood that it would take six weeks to complete.
So after six months Glasswells informed us that our order was ready to be delivered and fitted.
The fitter arrived at our house and said before he started he would review what was required.
We were having two window blinds and two pelmets above the windows.
One at the bottom of the stairs and one half way up the stairs.
On assessing the job, the fitter said I was not told that a special ladder was required to reach the upstairs window. It was not written on the paperwork so he was unable to fit it.
He said that he would fit the downstairs pelmet and blind and have to come back another day for the upstairs window.
He went to get the blind and pelmet from his van, only to find he did not have the pelmets.
We are disgusted with the service we have received from Glasswells.
We will not recommend using them .

Thank you for your feedback. Following the fitting appointment, we reviewed the issue with the pelmets and found they had been loaded but were not identified at the time of collection.

The landing window could not be fitted on the original appointment due to access requirements not being fully detailed beforehand. Following further communication, the fitting was rearranged and has now been completed.
