Glasgow Airport is one of the most worthless airports I know... with their zones and stupid bullshit... I have never left the airport on time; there is always something with those losers.

Not the best but 100 times better than Aberdeen so worth the drive to get decent flights.
A disaster for early flight.

Checkin open 03:40
Security open 04:00
Lounge open 05:00
Need better time co-ordination
Security open 03:45
Lounge open 03:45
Waste of money purchasing business class if lounge not open until boarding time.
Once again, baggage delays of over 1hour!
Once again, over a 60min wait to collect bags when my flight arrived. They said it was due to ‘multiple flights arriving at once’ which is kind of the idea of airports. Sadly not the first time. I live in Glasgow but prefer to use Edinburgh but didn’t have a choice as it was the only Scottish Airport used by P&O for my cruise.
Pathetic experience
Pathetic experience ! They cannot handle the A380 with the amount of passengers flying in! I've been waiting at the immigration queue for about half an hour and I've hardly moved.
Rude staff are a let down
I've flew from/into Glasgow airport about 6 times this year and it's been chaos everytime. Zero issues on the way out, security is always quick and the boarding/check in staff are lovely but the staff on passport control are very unprofessional and downright rude. The scanners barely recognise children (are still forced to use them) meaning they get separated from their families and then the parents being yelled at for wanting to be able to see/ know what's happening to their kids. The staff (always the same 2 men) seem to be on a power trip and look like they enjoy seeing people panic, not a very nice welcome to Scotland. Been to much busier airports yet this one always seems overwhelmed by one flight landing.
Clueless staff
Clueless staff, restaurants with only 4 choices on menu and mayhem in the security area, with no one knowing what they are meant to be doing.
Dreading returning here.
Five Pound Rip Off
£5 to drop someone off/ pick someone up- an absolute joke. It has risen gradually and gradually. What is the £5 for exactly? It used to be free. Then ‘terrorism’ was the excuse- and they’ve made it harder and harder to drop people off but without improving public transport. It started at a £1 and now its £5. For what? The inconvenience which if someone is delayed goes up and up in price. And now a massive trek into the airport- had 44kg and not a trolley in sight- there’s not even a waiting area for cars if you’ve travelled and waiting for a flight to come in and its confusing to even the drop off bit if you’re not familiar with the airport. It’s just take and take and the airport hasn’t improved its services in any way or the road system. Not everyone lives in Glasgow City Centre- buses are expensive (additional charge for the airport that doesn’t tie in with local bus fares) and infrequent (not the 500 although that is expensive- almost cheaper getting a taxi and is not 365/ 24:7). No joined up rail service. What’s the £5 for? If I didn’t have to travel for work. I would never fly. It’s embarrasing to see what our tourists have to experience. Nice one Glasgow. Making us look like massive rip off merchants who can’t even put on decent public transport to the rest of the world.
Returned from Spanish mainland
Returned from Spanish mainland, November 18.
Flew with Ryanair.
Never at any time had any issues with the airport facilities, parking, bus service, food, drink, security, lost baggage or staff.
First rate all round. Fast, efficient and friendly.
Looking forward to my January flight from Glasgow International !
Fast track that isn't...
Paid £6.99 for priority/ fast track security as the website says 'skip past the queues, relax sooner, blah, blah'. Watch out, you only jump past part of the queue and join everyone for the queue for the trays, even though the staff queue is staffed and empty. Would have given a higher score but the security staff were anything but' friendly'.
Luggage delay
Having flown from Newark to Heathrow and then on to Glasgow on Saturday 2nd December, all went well until our arrival at Glasgow where we waited for almost 2 hours to collect our luggage from luggage collection point 2. If it were not for my daughter in law going to investigate, we would not have been informed of the delay and the reason behind it. Communication was extremely poor especially when there were flights arriving after ours and their baggage was loaded on to the conveyor belts that we were all sitting at. There were 2 flights arrived after ours and they were away with their luggage within 30 minutes of touching down. We were told, only when my daughter in law enquired, that we were in a queuing system. I don’t understand their terminology of a queuing system in operation when flights arriving after ours, gets their luggage before us. I was bitterly disappointed in the lack of information which was only forwarded to us when my daughter in law went to find out. An announcement over the tannoy system would have been appreciated and then to see your flight arrival disappear from the collection point and again no information issued as to why this happened and if our luggage was being moved to a different collection point.
Bitterly disappointed, especially as we had been travelling for almost 24 hours by this time.
Great experience at Glasgow Airport on…
Great experience at Glasgow Airport on Sunday 26th November 10am flight to Gran Canaria. I have a bad back and asked for assistance, the jet2 member at check in Usman and the airport assistance lady blonde hair very nice are a credit to the airport. I was so embarrassed to get pushed through on a wheelchair and im not the lightest both these staff made me feel at ease, safe and just very caring.
Thanks
Jennifer
Friendly and helpful helpful staff
OK, everyone knows that the prices at all UK airports are a rip-off.
However, I do find the staff at Glasgow airport to be the best and friendliest of every airport I have visited. Even the customs staff, unfriendly by reputation, are the only airport where you are greeted with a smile and a warm welcome.
Well done Glasgow for exceptional customer service and setting a standard few other airports come near.
Glasgow Airport - Tops for Extortion
Glasgow Airport has become nothing short of an organisation designed to part unsuspecting travellers with their money. The drop off fee has again been raised to £5.00, a shocking amount for what amounts to nothing at all. I find the whole concept of drop off charges to be extortion. What other organisation allows people to charge to deliver their customers to their door?
On top of all this prepare for further extortion in the bars and restaurants. The Caledonian bar now charge £7.50 for a pint of beer and £1.75 for a dash of lemonade in your already grossly overpriced 25 measure of spirits.
If going to the airport my advice would be to bring sandwiches and avoid these highway robbers altogether.
POORLY ORGANISED
Easy to park and bus was waiting to take us to the terminal. However, the return journey was terrible. Only one bus running, the queue for the bus was all the way inside the building, several flights had landed. After waiting a very long time in the freezing cold, while the one bus ran back and forwards to the car park, we eventually got on. The driver was arguing with someone on the phone that more buses were needed due to the long queues, it would appear without much success.
Paying lip-service to sustainability
Registered my EV prior to using airport drop off / pick up ("At Glasgow Airport we aim to support a sustainable future and so we are offering 10 minutes of free access to the pick-up and drop-off area for our customers with electric vehicles."). Still charged on exit (7 days after "registering"). Contacted Airport using "Feedback" form 4 days ago - absolutely no response.
Car Park 2 full even although we pre booked
Pre booked car park 2 at Glasgow Airport for 10 days to go on holiday. Turned up to be told there were no spaces and we needed to leave our car parked at the side of the exit route. Fully expected our car to be damaged on return. Luckily not though! Complained online and was just fobbed off saying it was the busiest time of the year (October!!!) So basically we have your money in advance so tough!! Poor show!!
Not valet parking …
If you think valet parking means you will get a premium service don’t book it at Glasgow Airport. When you arrive you park your car at the curb side, get your luggage out the car and take your keys to a portacabin. Then you have the cold, damp walk to the airport. It’s not located at the front door as you would expect, the walks not that far, but on a cold wet Glasgow morning it’s a miserable experience.
It’s when you return from you car it’s a nightmare. You have the same cold windy walk, for us in storm Babet to the portacabin to pick up our keys. They had lost the car keys of the family in front of us. Instead on one person dealing with that and the other person dealing with everyone else. Everyone was looking for the keys. An elderly couple then arrived to drop off their car. Bear in mind there was a yellow weather warning in place and this couple had to stand and waiting for the missing keys to be found in the cold and wind. The keys were finally found. But the couples car was parked so far away an attendant had to show them where it was parked. ( for me valet parking means your car should be brought to you)
We had to walk in the cold and wind across surface car park to get our car.
When we arrived it was clear it the car had been parked in the same spot under trees for 2 weeks and hadn’t been moved. The car was covered in tree branches ( nothing too big) but enough to scratch the bonnet in several places, but try proving they hadn’t been there before, so we just had to accept the damage to the car. Again there was a storm warning in place and I am not sure under trees was the best place to park a car. I am not sure what Glasgow airport thinks this is but it’s not valet parking.
If you are getting a good deal in general and don’t want to get the bus from the long stay car park, you maybe happy enough with this service. But if you want convenience at any price ; park your car in the multi-storey car park across from the terminal. Your car will be protected under cover and you have a short walk via the walk way on the first floor directly into the terminal. I have bought valet parking at other airports and it was far superior to this service.
Valet Parking
Just used new valet parking service in Glasgow Airport. Great service. Dropped off car in 3 minutes & picked up -again 3 minutes.
Very happy with service. Plus on the right side of international arrivals; so hardly any walking!
Immediate response to my queery
Contacted the airport via facebook messenger, got an immediate response, gave me an quick answer to my question and explained what to do to track my flight for updates, fantastic service from GM who was the advisor.
