Really terrible experience with Givewheel. I work in fundraising and need to access Givewheel pages regularly. I cannot look at the incessant flashing on the pages. I emailed multiple times since February and only recently received a less than helpful response that it "meets guidelines". Doesn't seem like Givewheel care about user opinions at all and are only interested in proving themselves right to make a stand. Will definitely continue steering organisations and individuals away from using them. With so many other fundraising platform options available it'd be stupid to go to Givewheel. Enjoy your ridiculous flashing icon, I hope it was worth it.

Like other sites, GiveWheel includes a number of UI elements and some animations, including a subtle sheen effect on our donate button on desktop devices (not shown on mobile).
When you first contacted us regarding this specific UI element, we reviewed it with our development team against recognised accessibility guidance, including WCAG criteria. The animation was assessed as following this guidance.
We have not received other feedback on this specific element, however we nevertheless took your feedback seriously and following your report, we reduced the animation and implemented support for users who have enabled a reduced-motion preference on their device, meaning the effect is no longer shown to those users.
We therefore take user feedback very seriously. Your concerns were reviewed in detail and directly contributed to changes intended to improve the experience for motion-sensitive users.
We recognise that people have different preferences when it comes to design and UX, and whilst it is not possible to accommodate every individual preference, we carefully consider all feedback received as part of ongoing product development.

Accidentally donated to the website as…
Accidentally donated to the website as well as the fundraiser and it increased the donation amount. There doesn't seem to be a way to reverse it, feel tricked, really puts you off donating to charity.

Ideal for fundraising for multiple charities
What a wonderful simple site to set up your charity fundraiser. A friend and I decided to do a fitness challenge together raising money for 2 different charities of our choice. We tried setting this up on Just Giving…what a nightmare that was, so over complicated because we wanted to split the funds 2 ways. So I gave up and found Give Wheel which was simple to do exactly what we wanted, the page was set up in minutes! I loved how they also offer poster templates and a QR code which was super useful for people to sponsor us via our posters displayed around our gym. We raised £2000 for Pancreatic Cancer UK and the RNLI and it definitely helped us by having such a simple user friendly fund raising platform - will 100% recommend and use again!

Any queries response time very fast,
I had to register 1 of my charities and was so easy to do this
Splitting the 2 charities was also very easy to do

Simple, Flexible and Highly Supportive Fundraising Platform
I had a really positive experience setting up my fundraising page on GiveWheel. The process was clear, easy to follow, and straightforward from start to finish. I needed to raise funds for a charity that wasn’t already registered on the platform, and the team responded within 24 hours with clear guidance on how to get them set up.
I also really appreciated the flexibility to split donations between two charities — something not all fundraising platforms offer. It made a big difference for my fundraising goals.

A painless way to fundraise for multiple charities!
Other platforms I considered made it unnecessarily complicated, by first having to create an 'umbrella' page & then sub pages for each charity. Then I would have had to ask the people sponsoring to keep the money equal between the charities!
GiveWheel lets you have just 1 page, and you enter the percentage of the donations that should go to each charity. No stress for the donors!
Customer service is also brilliant. One of my chosen charities was not in their drop down list to select, as it is a small local one. I emailed them asking for it to be added, and they did this within a few hours.

Love that I can raise money for more than 1 charity …
I’ve used GiveWheel twice now because I’ve wanted to share the money I raise. It is so easy to split the percentages between your chosen charities. Overall it’s so easy to use even for someone like me who’s not great at IT. If I’ve had a query they’ve answered it very promptly. I love that it was started in the UK too. Really happy would definitely recommend.

Love the fact that you can have more than one charity and that GiveWheel don’t take any of the donations and you don’t have to pay for the service.
Great job. People found the page, did a donation, we got notified and when it’s all wrapped up the charities concerned will get the money! Would use again for other fundraisers!

The level of support was outstanding
The level of support was outstanding. I received swift and thorough responses to a number of questions during the fundraising period, always patient, always clearly explained, always helpful. Added to that, the platform is very user friendly and was perfect for our campaign. Easy to use website, supportive, no fees
The website is simple and clear to use. Great advice for making your campaign effective. Useful reminders and support as the event draws near. No fees on the individual fundraiser site so the total amount goes to your charity. GiveWheel was part of the enjoyment of the whole fundraising experience.
