The item was nice and in good…
The item was nice and in good condition, but the downside was it smelt of cigarettes. Like really bad and for a buyer who is an non smoker, it was very disappointing. My whole living room smelt like cigarettes and I had to air out the item out for like a day and abit to be able to use it.

As all of the items that we sell are pre-owned and often of a vintage era, this is an issue that we come across from time to time. Altough every effort is made to clean items before they go out for sale, this does sometimes prove a little difficult or occasionally things are missed unfortunately (We're only human, it happens) so I can only apolagoise about that.

However this is a very unfair review, that doesn’t really add anything to the experience of your purchase or us as a company, just the product that you purchased. We didn’t manufacture the product, we’re simply a retailer of vintage / pre-loved photography equipment, and we have no control over what people decide to purchase from us.
The camera that you purchased cost £8.
If this wasn’t made from plastic, the cost would have been much higher.
You could also see from looking at the photographs of the item that you purchased, that it’s made from plastic, not only that, if you required more information than what was written on the website, you could have contacted us, our email address & telephone number are easy to find at the bottom of most pages, as well as on the contact us page.
If you’d have contacted, we’d have been more than happy to provide any information that you wanted.

Camera came as described for a very good price. Could have had more description, for example that it is a high draining device or the type of leads needed. But overall fast delivery and would recommend!

I’m sorry that you’re unhappy with your order, but as mentioned and shown to you in the way of screenshots of the item that you purchased over numerous emails, the camera that you purchased, was exactly as described in the product listing on our website.
Nothing was hidden from you, the crack on the back of the screen was clearly shown in the listing photographs as well as mentioned in the product description.
We as a business that sells vintage and pre-loved photography equipment cannot be held accountable if you, as the customer do not read descriptions or look at all of the available photographs.
Photographs of the items on our site, are always the exact item that you’re purchasing.
It was all there for you to see.
If an item that we list for sale has defects, cosmetic blemishes or faults, this is always, always demonstrated in the listing.
We are also under no obligation to give you any sort of refund, in full or partial as you suggested without first having the product returned to us.
We offer a no quibble returns policy on our website, allowing customers to return products within 14 days of delivery.
If you’d have chosen to return the order to us, a refund would be made back to your original payment method. On this occasion I can see that you paid in instalments using Clearpay, so if you opted to return it to us, a refund would be made using this payment method and Clearpay would then refund the amount that you’ve already paid over your instalments.
I do however wish you all the best with your future purchases.

Super Paragon 135mm F/2.8 | M42 Mount
This little 135mm manual lens is a great addition to any photographer's kit. It is perfect for portraits, as it provides a nice, tight focus on the subject, isolating them from the background. The manual focus allows for precise control over the depth of field, making it easy to achieve a soft, blurry background.
Gibson packed it up nice and tight and it was with me in days (despite a few royal mail strikes). Very happy and would purchase with confidence again.

Bought a camera from these people personally I would give it a miss camera at 260.00 no safe bag to put it into when not in uses then when I said that I would like to return you only have 14 days only just opened it has it was going to be a Christmas present for my son absolute rip off

As mentioned to you on the phone, if a bag isn’t mentioned in the description of a product, or shown in the photographs, then one wouldn’t be included.
I have checked the description of this order for you to double check and the description was as follows

This camera is in excellent condition and is free from scuffs to the paintwork
The rear screen has some very light scuffing
The lens is clean and clear
All buttons, dials and functions work correctly
The rear flip-out screen functions correctly
the viewfinder is clean and clear
The zoom is smooth and functions correctly
All grips and covers are present and in good condition
Comes with a charging cable”
Nowhere there does it say that it came with a bag.
If you were a little more polite to us when you called, we would have however had no issues with sending you a bag out in the post, at no cost to yourself.
In regards to our returns process, we offer a no obligation, no quibble returns policy, which allows items to be returned within 14 days of delivery.
This order was however placed on the 8th of October which is almost 3 months ago. I don’t know of many companies that would allow a return after this amount of time.
Again, I apologise that you’re not happy with this outcome, but our returns policy is clearly displayed on our website and can be found here:

Buying old camera kit can be a lottery. The lens I bought from Gibson Cameras is in excellent condition and was a very reasonable price. I'll be keeping an eye on Gibson's web site in future.
