Complete scam, you used to be able to claim for free but the automated system doesn't work so they try to force you to pay £20 per month.

Shameful, Fraudulent Company | Con Artists
Same experience as everyone else. I used to be able to verify and manage client business information for free.
The free option still exists, and has done for well over a year but the automated calling system doesn't work.
I've contacted Central Index numerous times in the past year about different businesses. They ignore the fact that the calling system doesn't work and insist you must pay to claim the business and make changes. This never used to be the case, and it's fraudulent to advertise that it can be managed for free because the system doesn't work, and you cannot.
The fact that they are tied to web.com is also disgraceful as you'd think that web.com would have better morals.
I've said multiple times how poor I think it is, and that they should be able to verify the business for me, and by other means. I've said I have had access to the phone number but this is repeatedly ignored.
There has been no apology from the staff, they just inisit that I must pay If I want to claim and make any changes.
Then they have the cheek to charge you monthly, and there's no manual way to stop this. You can pay, make the changes and request to cancel payment, but there's no clear information on how to do this.
It's a shame that despite these reviews Central Index hasn't responded or changed their act. Which just confirms what a poor and shameful company they are.

Glad I checked the reviews first - there were lots of red flags. There was literally no option to even pay the £24. They say they call you to verify the code, but they never call. This was embarrassing as we had our client waiting to answer the phone. Then, they conveniently ask for money to verify when the call 'doesn't work'. Do not bother!

For agencies we also offer a streamlined reseller account that let's you manage your own listings, if that is something that would interest you please let the team on that email address know.
