Did the Belugas, Bears and Blooms tour a few weeks ago and absolutely loved it. We had so many opportunities to see and interact with the beluga whales and we were blessed to see polar bears, caribou, foxes, eagles and many types of birds plus some beautiful blooms. The Tundra Buggy is impressive and a great way to experience Churchill. As a travel agent, I'm also evaluating the overall operation and Frontiers North gets an A! Everyone we met were passionate about the area, the community, the wildlife and environmental impacts. Several guests had traveled with Frontiers North through the other seasons (Polar Bear and Northern Lights) and the loyalty says so much too. The new Tundra Inn is beautiful and the Tundra Lodge (Polar Bear season) would be such a fun experience too. I'll always cherish my photos, memories and friendships from the trip. I want to return for Polar Bear season next. Definitely go!!!

We visited in late July. Frontiers North Adventures has good guides and drivers. We quite enjoyed the Tundra Buggy experience, zodiacs and especially kayaking with so many beluga whales. Our guide said that in summer months, we had a 50-60% chance of seeing a polar bear - and we did - yea! We also enjoyed the town tours, Polar Bears International and Parks Canada visits. The one thing we didn’t like was the Winnipeg initial hotel stay before flying to Churchill. The air conditioning was not working properly, and it was quite hot and muggy. It was better on the way home, but the initial visit left a poor impression. (This hotel was arranged by FNA, but is not owned by them).

Jim was a great tour guide! We loved how he pointed out all the animals. You can tell he cares a lot about this environment and wants to share his passion with others!

The guides were great. We were disappointed with the gift stores being closed on Sunday. Also I understand about the weather preventing us from kayaking but we should have been offered something else instead of loosing our money and then being left without anything else to do

My journey with Frontiers North Adventures was an exceptional introduction to Churchill, its wildlife, history and community.

The highlight was the time spent with our guide, Mark. He was knowledgeable, engaging and clearly passionate about the polar regions. His understanding of Churchill’s history, Indigenous peoples, polar bears, beluga whales and local flora and fauna added depth to every experience. He brought the destination to life and made the journey feel personal rather than simply guided.

The excursions were consistently strong. The boat trip to Prince of Wales Fort and the beluga-viewing experiences were outstanding, as were the kayaking and Zodiac tours. The Tundra Buggy excursion was excellent, comfortable and remarkably rewarding. I also enjoyed the mural tour, which offered valuable insight into the artists, local stories and identity of the community.

The trapper experience was interesting and informative. Dog carting was enjoyable, although it was not as memorable for me as the wildlife and cultural excursions. I did appreciate learning more about sled-dog racing and the work being done to rescue and care for some of the dogs.

The lodging was clean and comfortable, and I am excited to see the new wing open. The new rooms look beautiful and will undoubtedly be very popular. Since the hotel does not have a pool or fitness facilities, it would be helpful for guests to receive access to the Churchill Community Centre during their stay.

The food quality was very good, particularly given Churchill’s remote location and the logistical limitations faced by the kitchen team. The main disappointment was the slow restaurant service, especially because guests were required to pre-order meals the evening before. A smoother and more efficient dining experience would make a noticeable difference.

The charter flights to and from Winnipeg were well organized, and the pre- and post-tour hotel arrangements were comfortable. The welcome and farewell dinners were pleasant, although the banquet rooms lacked atmosphere. Future departures could benefit from destination videos, wildlife imagery or other visuals to set the tone. A farewell slideshow featuring photographs and video clips from the week would also create a more emotional and memorable ending.

This was a very good experience and one I would recommend. Churchill is a remarkable destination that connects visitors with nature, wildlife and northern communities in a profound way. It is an experience everyone should consider having at least once in their lifetime.

Very knowledgeable and entertaining guide

This was a great tour. We saw many bears. The driver Jim was great, Very friendly, knowledgeable, accommodating and would stop as long a needed for pictures. He could spot animals from far away and we never missed an opportunity. The meals on board were great and very filling. We were totally satisfied with this tour and would highly recommend it for others to enjoy.

Churchill was one of the most fascinating places I have ever visited. The wildlife was incredible and the staff and guides were terrific. I did a summer visit to Churchill and look forward to going back in high bear season.

Our guide was passionate knowledgeable very funny and a great cook
He presented a smooth efficient wonderfull opportunity to see veiw many polar bears and local birdlife.

A new experience in a unique environment. Fascinating landscapes and wild life. The whole trip was an adventure well worth the time and resources to make it happen.

Our Tundra Buggy experience with Frontiers North Adventures was truly unique. It gives you the opportunity to venture deep into the natural landscape around Churchill and observe the incredible local wildlife in its own environment.

Our driver made the experience even more enjoyable. He was hilarious, kept us entertained throughout the trip and shared all kinds of fascinating and funny stories about the area, its wildlife and life in the North.

A fantastic adventure that we would highly recommend to anyone visiting Churchill!

Our guide Jim was so knowledgeable about local wildlife and shared many stories. We got lucky seeing a polar bear, fox kits, as well as a variety of birds. The buggy seats themselves were comfortable and lunch was tasty and filling (soup & sandwich).

The Conservation Beluga tour was incredible. We saw lots of Belugas and loved kayaking with them. We were also very fortunate to see Polar bears as well. Our guides and speakers were very knowledgeable and up to date with research in the area. Loved it!

We had a great time! I really wouldn't change a thing with the itinerary! We were most interested in the beluga whales, and we had great outings with them! I mean, the experience was other worldly! Just to be surrounded by the grey and white, happy creatures was amazing! The other outings---the tour of Churchill and surrounding areas, the visit to the sled dog musher, the museum visit, PBI were all very interesting. Seeing the bear on the last day was the icing on the cake! Mark was a great, knowledable guide and Tim was an awesome driver. We really got lucky with our group...we had a blast getting to know everyone!

The only suggestion I have is for Sea North to have a more updated and complete first aid kit.

We had a great time in our Summer Tundra Buggy tour with Jim. A good guide is key. He had lots of good stories and excellent information about the tundra, birds and bears.

I did extensive research before choosing Frontiers North, and I am so glad I visited in July and was able to see the wildflowers in bloom, have an extraordinary encounter with the Beluga whales, and see a polar bear along the coast. I can't say enough about the staff, guides, and accommodations. This was a perfect trip, and I plan to visit again during the autumn season for Polar Bear season. Don't hesitate to book!

Excellent trip on tundra buggy. Saw a polar bear with 2 cubs which was an incredible experience. Also saw a cariboo and numerous tundra birds. Our driver was knowledgeable and interesting. The buggy was about half full and comfortable. There was cookies with hot drinks in the morning and a lovely lunch of sandwiches and homemade butternut squash soup.
