We don’t have much luck seeing animals during late summer. We only see some birds and a pixel bear on the tundra buggy. This is quite an expensive tour and I would expect more from it.

Everything about this experience was great! Ana was so helpful in answering questions for me back when I booked the excursion, the booking process was simple, and the actual excursion was fantastic! Jim was incredibly knowledgeable and had so many great stories to share and a clear love of the land and the wildlife. In addition to all of that, we were incredibly lucky to sight 5 bears while on the tundra buggy and then 4 more while driving back to 58 North.

​I am writing to share feedback regarding our recent tour on the Frontier Tundra Buggy. Unfortunately, our experience fell far below expectations due to the driver's unprofessional behavior and poor handling of wildlife sightings.
​During the tour, when we finally spotted a bear, the driver acted very hurriedly, drove off abruptly, and spooked the bear away before anyone could properly view or photograph it. Additionally, the driver showed no consideration for birdwatching. Despite clear interest from passengers, the driver refused to stop for birds and even started driving forward while guests were still actively watching a bird from the back of the vehicle.

Our driver was very knowledgeable about all the birds we saw. If you’re looking for the experience of riding in a tundra buggy then this is it. However, if you want to see polar bears, book your tour in October/November. We went end of August and it was 98% birding tour. We are not birders. We did see only the rear ends of 3 polar bears as they ran away and we lost track of them. We saw more polar bear on other tours with less money and time. Also, having the driver on a headset system would help the passengers sitting towards the back able to hear the driver. I gave it 5 stars in that we paid for a ride in a tundra buggy, we were given snacks, drinks and lunch but they can not control if/when a person will see polar bears. It was a wonderful trip for the birders on board.

We had an awesome trip to Churchill. Our guide Jeff made a huge difference for us. He was knowledgeable, patient, and always helpful. We had 12 polar bear sightings, lots of beluga time on the water and great informational presentations. Our last night Frontiers North organized a NorthernLights viewing from the beach. It was spectacular! Thanks to everyone for such a great experience.

Our guide Josh and both our bus drivers Joe and Max were great! I enjoyed being part of a small group, it was a lot more pleasant and I enjoyed the opportunity to get to know all of the other participants. I'm very happy that we got to see several polar bears and a lot of beluga whales! Everything was well-planned and well-organized.

This is a must do experience for those who are passionate about travel, connection, and experiencing as much of this amazing world as possible. Having traveled extensively on countless tours and cruises all over the world, I can honestly say my Belugas, Bears and Blooms trip with Frontiers North was something truly special. Of course, the wildlife and scenery were incredible, but the absolute standout for me was how deeply connected the experience is to the local community.

From the expert guides to every single experience host we met, everyone was fiercely and genuinely passionate about sharing their community with us. It didn't feel like a standard, cookie-cutter tour package—it felt like a true community experience. By the end of the trip, I walked away loving the town of Churchill and its people just as much as I loved the animals. If you want an adventure that offers authentic local connection alongside world-class exploration, this is it. Absolute perfection!

Our guide Josh was excellent. Working with Haley before the trip was excellent also … we were lucky to have great weather in Churchill also . Just disappointed not getting the train ride which was out of your hands

Are days were full of great experiences. Loved all the tours. Very informative & fun. I can't seem to pick a favorite. (Bears, beluga, northern ligt) all great. The food & accommodations were great. All in all F A N T A S T I C

Even though the trip was great. And the sights were awesome. Our guide, Josh Mazza, put it over the top. The trip was everything I expected and more. Very happy we went.

I disliked the way we had to order our meals. I understand that it if it was a larger group this would be necessary, but we were only 6. The menu selection was too repetitive. There was no reason that we couldn't order off the regular menu.
The only other thing I would like to comment on is when we landed back in Winnipeg we had to get a taxi or an Uber to take us back to our own vehicle at the Winnipeg terminal where we were picked up from originally.

Our driver Jim was so knowledgeable and super nice. The lunch was actually really good as well. Obviously seeing all of the wildlife was amazing. I would definitely do this again.

In a world of increasingly unscrupulous tour guides with no regard for the animals or the environment, it's wonderful to see Frontiers North going the extra mile to give wildlife like polar bears the space they need to survive. Our driver was not only very passionate about his job and extremely knowledgeable about the terrain and the animals, but extra careful not to "push" the bears or other wildlife just so tourists can snap a photo. This type of behavior is exemplary in the eco-tourism industry in order to ensure future generations can enjoy these animals. Thank you Frontiers North for going the extra mile :)

The Tundra Buggy was a lot of fun, our driver had a lot of great stories. Saw a diversity of wildlife and the lunch was delicious.

Jim was our tundra buggy driver. He is a treasure trove of stories and knowledge.
The sandwiches and soup provided were first class as well.

I had the most wonderful time in Churchill organised by Frontiers North in the wonder of their Belugas, Bears and Blooms expedition. It is so well organised with nice accommodation, great food, experienced and knowledgeable guides, drivers and tour operators. Your experience is their priority. Excursions are well organised and your comfort is considered with lots of little treats and flexibility. I just can't wait to go back. It really is a must do tour for any nature & wildlife lover - don't put it off.
