Having scoured the market, FOXES are not the cheapest of financial and legal experts available, but you are paying for a service second to none and worth every euro spent. I agree with other reviewers that perhaps an area of enhancement would be to have a documented matrix or checklist of events and objectives enabling a better understanding of what events to expect and when they are achieved; maybe difficult as each customer has their specific set of requirements and circumstances. Cristian was there from start to finish thrue the whole mortgage prosses right up to completion of the property. He took all the stress out of the process. Any questions I had I could call at anytime and he would make sure I got the anwser . Getting a mortgage in different country might sound difficult but foxes really did make it a smooth ride .

I would highly recommend foxes to anyone looking to buy a property. I would also recommend using foxes legal team. I didnt do this but If I was to do this again I definitely would.

Foxes were great from the start to the finish.

I found them online and read the reviews and after an initial call went with them to buy a house in Spain.

It was the easiest process ever even through Covid and they are so supportive. There's a few minor areas they could work on e.g. consider a progress-chart updated each week would be good also showing where we are on the steps to completion but feedback is good.

Big shout out to Gareth, Cristian and Alejandra. Wonderful process and I fully recommend them if you are buying a property abroad.

Superb, from start to finish. I'm a Brit, living in the US, and had no idea how to navigate the complexities of purchasing a property in Spain. Foxes was recommended by multiple sources (mainly through online searches) and I contacted Gareth for an initial consultation. Following this initial discussion, most concerns were set aside and Foxes guided us through the process step by step; the bank loan pre-approval took a week, then the legal conveyancing kicked in, bank accounts were opened, notaries and power of attorney were arranged - if you need a "turnkey" service to buy a Spanish property from overseas, this is it! Since this is 2020 there were many challenges, the Foxes team didn't seem phased and resolved all issues professionally, efficiently and I was always under the impression they were operating in our best interests. Both Rocío and Cristian provided truly outstanding service and support, likely the best customer service I have ever experienced. Thank you, I will be using your services again and can highly recommend others do the same. These are the good guys!

My wife and I cannot speak more highly of how Cristian and the team at Foxes helped us in completing on our new home in Ibiza. Extremely professional, super knowledgeable, and helpful throughout the entire process with the team always just a phone call away to help on any (numerous) questions that we had.

Having never bought a flat in Spain the process seemed for me overwhelming.
Thankfully, I instructed Foxes and was put in the friendly, capable hands of Rocio, who was just brilliant!
She was with me throughout the ups and downs of the sale and always on hand to assure and assist me with my many questions.
They went above and beyond to get the sale though for me, especially now with all the covid complications of travel etc.
Rocio's efficiency and guidance was always friendly, helpful and speedy.
I really couldn't have got through this sale without her!
Even now, after completion, she has emailed me to ask if I've settled in and if there's anything else she can help with such as sorting out utilities.

I was purchasing a property is Spain and the lawyers and bankers I was talking with were slow responding and over uninspiring. My search online led me to Foxes and at first I was quite apprehensive dealing with an online business. Fact is, I couldn't have been further from the truth. Cristian, my relationship manager, was the most professional and customer oriented person I've worked with in a long time. Alejandra, the team's legal, was just as professional and courteous and both always available to answer any questions and alleviate any concerns I had. They went out of their way to ensure we understood everything they were doing with clear expectations and deadlines. From start to finish the deal took 6 weeks less than the seller expected! Foxes fees were even lower than those quoted to me by barely responsive others. Just a fantastic experience all around.

I’d like to begin this review with the Bottom Line Up Front (BLUF):
If you are NOT a Spanish citizen and are attempting to buy a home in Spain you will go through a terrible and long ordeal that may result in nothing but frustration and wasted money. Given identical circumstances your experience will be pleasurable, effective, and efficient if you use Foxes services.

Background:
Round One: I am an American military retiree working in Germany under SOFA status and decided to buy a home in Spain to truly retire. My wife and I found the perfect home in August 2019 through a Spanish real estate agency. The agents were fantastic and knowledgeable, however, they were in uncharted territory when it came to an US citizen home purchases in Spain. They recommended a Bank (who will remain nameless) which gave us the “run around” for four months. They asked for my US credit report and did not know how to read it. They asked for my German credit report which does not exist for US Forces in Germany. My wife is a naturalized US Citizen who has lived in the US for over 15 years and they asked for her Colombian credit report, etc. As you can see, all these things take time and a lot of money. In the end they did not approve the loan stating “you don’t qualify” and nothing else. My credit score is over 800 and my income is well above the Spanish requirements in retirement pay alone.

Round two began with another nameless bank and a broker. He attempted to prosecute a loan acquisition with two banks. One bank was outstanding, however, we could not get approval because of a Spanish law which requires banks to accept payments in the borrower’s currency of origin. The bank hierarchy saw this as a risk and denied approval.

Round three was with a bank which denied us for the reason stated above.

Round four was with a big bank with a very bad reputation. I have never heard anything good said about them. They behaved like the first bank from the beginning and I knew how it was going to end. That is when I contacted Foxes.

(I apologize for bank names being withheld, I'm not well versed in "review etiquette". Please know that I would love to throw the first and last banks under the bus. One hint: They are big.)

Results:
At this point, 1 June 2020, ten months later, I was fed up and found Foxes. Christian answered my email immediately and we were speaking telephonically minutes after. He handled everything involved with securing the loan, and Rocio, the attorney, dealt with all legal matters. This team was incredible. All we did was send them the information found in the packets we had sent the previous four banks and they took off running. We received play-by-play updates on where our application was in almost real time and always knew where we stood, good, bad, or indifferent. They always answered the phone when we called or called back within a reasonable amount of time.

On 12 June 2020, less than two weeks later, we had our loan secured. On 6 July 2020 we signed our loan documents with the closing date of 22 July. Wow, they did in two weeks what other tried to do in ten months.

I must also add that there were problems on the seller’s side due to the fact that the home had been inherited and issues arose, I’ll say no more. Rocio and Christian found solutions to every potential problem and the process never stumbled.

Later, over a cup of coffee, Christian explained exactly why it would have been impossible to secure a loan through the other banks. He went bank by bank and all of his explanations were very clear and based on his years of experience representing foreigners in Spain. Unfortunately, we never met Rocio face to face but communicating with her was always pleasant. She has an uncanny knack for translating “legalese” into language that makes sense.

Conclusion:
The road to disaster is paved with good intentions and most real estate folks in Spain are very willing to help. However, foreigners like us are a totally different case which they are unfamiliar with and one needs and experienced guide to navigate this process. Foxes was my guide and if I ever need one again they will be the first people I call. I recommend you call them as well.

I negotiated a house purchase through the lockdown period of Covid and was unable to be present in person for any of the process. Cristian handled the mortgage part for me - in a super professional and efficient way. I relied on Foxes for their mortgage and legal services for the purchase of a home in Mallorca.
