I was interested in seeing the Nordictrack x24 . Phil talked me through the bike and its functions making it really easy to understand. He answered all my questions and gave great customer service throughout. This is the 2nd piece of gym equipment I’ve bought from them. Very happy 😁

Value for Money and exceptional service
Garth was extremely helpful in recommending a make of recumbent bike which I had actually never heard of but has proved to be first class. It is called a Taurus and is German made. It was replacing a Schwinn bike which was made in China which has been a complete disappointment. I will never buy Schwinn again. It is so very comfortable to use with an internal battery which charges every time it’s used (a good reason to cycle every day!)
I bought an extended warranty because I expect to use my bike daily and with the cost of assembly by an in-house workforce, the whole cost was exactly the same as a Life fitness bike which I had originally hoped to buy from John Lewis. I had investigated other companies but either the equipment was not available online after three weeks or there were third party delivery companies who required a video of the access details before accepting an order. I felt confident that I was being very well looked after by Fitshop as I am still working in the fitness industry after 30 years plus.
Both Mark and Adrian (the delivery guys) were amazingly conscientious and helpful in entering the property, assembling the bike, taking it to the building where it was going to be used, dealing with the packaging and clearing and finally exiting the property.
All in all I am very impressed with the whole process with Fitshop. If and when I need more machinery there is only one place I will go to - and I suggest this is your first stop.

Faulty on arrival, then months of silence — and they want me to pay for their mistake
Ordered a Schwinn 800IC. It arrived faulty. I'd already spent hours assembling it and disposing of the packaging before the fault became clear.
What followed was weeks of silence and chasing. When Fitshop finally responded, they agreed to replace the bike — but said I'd have to pay a fee for collection and installation, because I hadn't bought installation with the original order. That isn't how the Consumer Rights Act works: where goods are faulty, the retailer bears the costs of putting it right.
They then offered me 5% off as compensation, and later 10%. The fee they wanted was worth more than the compensation they were offering.
Still unresolved. I'd think carefully before buying anything expensive here — the products may be fine, but find out what happens when one isn't.

We would like to clarify a couple of points, as we feel some aspects of your review do not fully reflect the situation. Once the fault was confirmed, we agreed to provide a replacement in accordance with your statutory consumer rights, including arranging collection of the original product and delivery of the replacement at no cost to you.
The point of disagreement relates to the additional services requested. You asked for an engineer to attend your home to dismantle the existing bike, package it for return, and then assemble and install the replacement. These services are separate, chargeable installation services that were not included with your original purchase. As no installation service was purchased initially, our replacement process is via standard courier collection and delivery. While we are happy to arrange an installation visit if required, this would incur the standard service charge.
As a gesture of goodwill, we also offered compensation for the inconvenience caused, despite the replacement itself being provided free of charge.
We appreciate that this has been a frustrating experience, and we remain committed to resolving the matter. Our customer service team is available to help if you wish to proceed with the replacement or discuss the installation options further.

Appalling service; faulty goods received & not giving a refund.
I brought a Cardiostrong IB50 Incline bike from Fitshop 10th May. It was faulty & whilst the customer service was initially pretty good, it has been appalling since I requested a refund & returned the item. I’ve been waiting 6 weeks for my refund since I first made my request & having to take them to the small claims court to recover my money. Avoid at all costs - disgusting behaviour. I am left with no item & no money.
