Google prorates like the rest

At first Google was better than the competition. They didn't charge extra fees, they didn't 'prorate' customers for service they haven't used.

That was 2 years ago. Since then they began 'prorating ' customers for service they never even used or had access to? How is that legal? How can an Internet company legally charge customers for services that weren't rendered?

I have had enough of Google fiber. We will be switching to AT&T or another company that does NOT prorate customers.

Terrible!

Terrible!! Worst internet services I've ever had. Slightest cloud in the sky and your service will take to a dial up speed if it works at all. Customer service is scripted garbage that is NOT helpful at all. Try the 'chat' option, I dare you....tip of the day: pack a lunch and water because it will take hours to get to a human, get a half-baked answer that is NOT helpful in the least. They will kiss your ass until you are in and then poof - they are gone.

have chatted with them on multiple…

have chatted with them on multiple occasions and have been unable to fix the issue, i have offered solutions to the issue but they refuse my answers
basically the service became too expensive so i canceled it, that took days to process then they said on many occasions that they would mail me or email me a label for fedex both of which have not happened, i have checked spam and trash files of my email as well as all other folders and nothing, i have checked my mailbox everyday and nothing the deadline to return the equipment is almost here and i have got no where with google, trying to call in does not help as the phone number registered to the account has been turned off but they want a security code from the disconnected phone, i still use wifi to play games on that phone but sms texts do not come thru, they have tried but the codes dont come thru so they wont talk to me over the phone so i cannot return there equipment, i have offered to let a tech come out here to pick it up they said no, offered to have it sent to the apt complex office where fedex is supposed to come every day they said no. what am i to do? cant call them and get a code, they wont pick up on there own and they wont mail or email a label out to my apt. how do i return this? this has been the worst experience i have ever had

Google fiber in 78748

My Google fiber service was absolutely incredible for about 3 years in zip code 78748. Around 16 months ago we started noticing short bandwidth drops. They were almost imperceptible, even if you were streaming video. The depth of the gaps in acceptable service have deepened in near linear fashion. This time last year I began bandwidth speed tests when the drops occurred. 10-30Mbps instead of 100+. Now it's into Kbps for multiple minutes. I'm ashamed I recommended this service to others. Still better than the others.

Service failed in less than 8 hours

Service failed in less than 8 hours. Customer service was unbelievably unhelpful and simply stuck to scripts. When I was escalated to a “supervisor”, Alejandro, he was even less helpful and more rude. He insisted that even though the service did not work, I would be charged until it is returned - and they don't send prepaid labels for 72 hours! No amount of reasoning worked with him. I am thankful I did not cancel my precious service yet!

Worst service ever!!!

Worst service ever. They charge you a month ahead but fail to deliver. Your money is better spent elsewhere. Customer service employees won’t care. Avoid this headache

Google fiber is the most expensive…

Google fiber is the most expensive internet service with the worst customer service. It's painful. They will promise you something and will never deliver. Good luck getting anyone on the phone to help you. They are literally soul-less.

Unreliable and uncaring

In todays world many security systems and electronics whether for work or pleasure depend on the quality of your internet.
Imagine for a minute that you’re away from home, you arm your house
And when you come home, your house is broken into because your internet shut down?
You’re watching the Super Bowl or your favorite show and the internet shuts down.
You’re working from home and you aren’t able to get on Zoom or log on for work because your internet went down.
You’re watching a series and your internet lags…This is my life with google fiber.
Some answers and resolutions…
1) change your internet name
2) count 30 steps from your device and place your router there
3) Pay for a new router ( even though my current one is barely a year old)
4) wait
5) you may have to get another type of tv or laptop because google fiber is only designed to work with certain types. ???

Well, can I get credit for missing meetings and work etc?

This was the worst experience in my…

This was the worst experience in my life! The Customer service said they had no manager I could speak with. Double charged my account for two months!! The CSS Jeanette was careless of my issue. Something needs to be done about this! I've been paying this company over a year, to be treated this way is unexcused.
