GFiber sucks

GFiber sucks. It's constantly under maintenance. Seems like every day I have an email about a known issue that is being addressed. Also, don't pay for the year up front. If you have to move, they don't pause your service. I'm paying for service that I'm not getting...

Scheduled for an appointment, then received a message canceling my appointment 24 hours before the install, with no accountability or thought about the customer! Guess preplanning went out the window. Their slogan should be "We can install Gfiber when we are ready." We work from home so a definite impact for sure. Don't count on reliable install or your appointment to be the day you plan it to be. Reminds me of Spectrum bad service for sure.

Worse customer service than comcast.

Installation and performance of my network are very good+
However, I moved my service from my rental to my new home with the request that it be in the same week. Google made me create a new Google account to initialize the new home. I don't want this account, I already have a Google account (and a Pixel, and cloud storage of which both I am considering dumping as a result of the poor service from GFiber). This is the only account that can service the bill or request changes. It is a random named account suggest by GFiber.
I had an extender go bad about a month ago. I didn't realize running network network diagnostics because in spite of the fact that I have a very good connection to my Office, Rec Room, Living Room, other TV room and can stream at 4k to all of those while also data logging and gaming on 3 phones - the GFiber app always says that I have a bad connection and as a result it can't tell me anything about my network. Right now it says there are zero devices on my network
(there are 82).
I can't tell if my new extender is working other than the green LED is solid. So maybe/probably?
I need to return the non-functional extender. But the instructions to do that were sent to the account I don't want to have. I can't have chat support through GFiber because their appraisal is that my network isn't working correctly (again - it is darn near amazing).
I have never seen some execute the practical so well while fumbling 100% of the customer interface.
I really do think I will change when any local competitor offers a zero or low switching cost option.

I had an amazing experience with GFiber, and I have to give a huge shoutout to Dudley and Jose. They were both incredibly kind, professional, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was set up perfectly.

They took the time to explain everything clearly, answered all my questions, and made the entire process smooth and stress-free. You can tell they genuinely care about their work and about the customer experience.

It’s not often you come across people who are not only great at what they do but also bring such positive energy and patience. Dudley and Jose truly made this experience exceptional.

Highly recommend GFiber—especially if you’re lucky enough to have Dudley and Jose helping you!

Google Fiber-Gross

Google Fiber-Gross. I have had their creepy sales people come to my house DOZENS of time over the last 9 months soliciting. They do not get the memo of not interested. I have been nice and rude but they still keep coming. Last time was 4/7/26. I run a private practice from home so this is bad business when they keep banging on the door and ringing my doorbell. In one day four times. Today I filed a formal complaint via calling the customer service & requested to be put on a do not contact list. Worst part they linger in your yard and stalk you if you go outside and bother you more. The worst feeling is seeing them in my driveway or standing across the street staring at my house...just waiting. Yes I have home cameras that I can see them from all angels. Yes I have called law enforcement also & have 4 no solicitation signs in my front door area. At this point it has become harassment & stalking. Very aggressive nasty people & creepy to boot. They do not take no for an answer. Yes I have all the camera footage. Google you need to be better. This behavior is not acceptable at all.
