I made a purchase from these guys for…

I made a purchase from these guys for £745 for various meat items. The delivery arrived with many packages burst and not packages correctly. The items were advertised as being set weights and when the order arrived some of the items were packaged in double quantities. I then found green sharp plastic in the diced beef package. I contacted Tony who was very apologetic and assured me it had clearly been packaged wrong and also advised me that the green item in the mince was wooden sticks used for displaying the product but it certainly didn’t look wooden to me. He promised to refund me and then both himself and his wife have just ignored all my messages and emails. I’ve been very understanding and fair but with them now ignoring my emails and messages and failing to provide the refund they assured me I would get I feel it’s only fair to share my experience and report the contamination of the meat. I will share the images online to hopefully help others when considering this supplier. I’ve had to throw items out as I was not comfortable eating something that’s clearly contaminated. They website promises a refund if your unhappy but I can assure you they will promise to sort it and then just ignore you. They refuse to take card payment and only accept bank transfer knowing you can’t dispute this with the bank but I can report the issues to the food standard agency and I have images to prove the issues I have encountered. Very poor way to treat a customer placing there first order and someone who was very keen to use the service on offer again in the future. You lose a customer and damage your reputation all to save a few £££. I don’t recommend this business save your cash and find someone more reputable

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback. I’m genuinely sorry that you were unhappy with aspects of your order and I do understand how frustrating this situation has been.

To clarify a few important points for transparency:

We did discuss the packaging issues at the time of delivery, and during that conversation you confirmed you were content to repack the meats yourself into your preferred quantities for freezing and use.

The item you refer to was identified as a Plastic Sticker used during preparation, however I appreciate that any foreign object is concerning and I did take this seriously when you raised it.

I did not ignore your messages. Shortly after our correspondence, the company entered receivership, and as a result all bank accounts were frozen immediately. This has meant we have had no ability to process refunds or make payments, regardless of intent or prior discussions.

This situation was completely outside of our control and occurred very suddenly. It is also the reason communication unfortunately became disrupted.

Regarding payment methods, bank transfer was introduced due to documented fraudulent activity, not to avoid customer protections.

I fully accept that this is not the outcome you wanted and I regret that the circumstances have resulted in such disappointment. However, there was never any intention to mislead or ignore you, and no decisions were made to “save money” at a customer’s expense.

I wish you well going forward and am sorry that this situation has affected your confidence in the business.

No order received nor communication about orders!

Ordered on 1st Jan and 26th Jan with expectations of delivery being done on 30th January. I have only received confirmation that the orders have been received and no communication on when or if at all the orders will be delivered.

I keep receiving emails to make payments to their bank which has been done at the time of order. I’ve sent two emails thus far and no response.

At this point, it’s clear this is a SCAM! Please save your money!!!! This is a SCAM!

Dreadful communication and delivery.

Dreadful communication and delivery promises that kept being broken. An orde place in late December turned up on January 12 th.

The delay to your order was due to severe weather conditions in late December, which resulted in widespread courier restrictions and service suspensions across the UK. Unfortunately, these circumstances were completely outside of our control and affected many deliveries nationwide.

We understand how disappointing this would have been, particularly at that time of year. For food safety reasons, we will never dispatch fresh produce unless we are confident it can be delivered safely, which is why some deliveries were held back rather than risk spoilage.

Appalling way to treat customers

I am writing to express my disappointment regarding my recent experience at Farm & Table. I booked a table for two last Sunday for brunch, paying the £20 holding fee requested on your website.

When we arrived at 12:00 noon, we were informed that breakfast had finished and were only offered soup or a roast dinner. As we specifically came for breakfast, we decided to dine elsewhere and courteously thanked the waitress for the table.

Despite not dining at the restaurant, my request for a refund of the £20 holding fee has been refused. Given that the restaurant was only half full and bookings cannot be made before 12 noon, this seems extremely unfair. Numerous emails requesting a refund have gone unanswered or been rejected, which I find unacceptable.

This experience reflects poorly on your customer service. It is disappointing that a £20 refund appears to be valued less than fostering returning customers or positive recommendations.

I have a fortnightly farm box delivery, the quality surpasses anything that the supermarkets can provide, plus I am shopping relatively locally.
10/10 for quality and range of vegetables, eggs and meat which they supply.

Promises fulfilled

I have been looking for an online butcher with:
Good meat
Competitive prices
Reliable
Honest
Prepared to please customers request.
Not easy especially I look for niche products,not commonly used in UK households, and I am a fussy one.
Farm2Table tick all the boxes.
Will definitely use again.

Excellent quality and goods arrived…

Excellent quality and goods arrived well packaged. Even when I had an enquiry about my delivery (having problems with DPD driver as he won’t open my gate and either throws everything over the gate, leaves it in the lane or returns it to sender) it was answered swiftly and the delivery turned up within minutes of my phone call….a lovely chap, friendly and well mannered. I don’t buy my meat from anywhere else….thankyou farm2table…..

Highly recommend 🤩

Everything delivered was of a very high standard.
The vegetables especially were fantastic...never seen such a huge, beautifully white cauliflower.
The ham was absolutely delicious and the sausages were really special.
The crate was delivered by a very polite gentleman and right on time 🙂

Disappointing experience

Despite selecting a specific delivery date, my order arrived a day late. I was notified of the delivery date by the delivery service and immediately contacted customer service to explain I would not be home to receive my order. They were unable to provide any solution or explanation for the late delivery.
While the quality of the meat itself was good, the complete lack of customer support was deeply disappointing. Because of this experience, I cannot recommend their service and will not be ordering again.

Just to clarify — the delivery date shown at checkout is an estimated date, not a guaranteed one. This is clearly stated on our website, and unfortunately delays can occasionally occur once the parcel is with the courier. This is only guaranteed once the Courier has your parcel and has confirm the ETA.

It’s also important to note that the dispatch date depends on our stock levels and availability, not only the courier service. We prepare and dispatch orders as soon as all items are available, and then the courier provides their estimated delivery timeframe from that point. Once the parcel is in transit, any changes to the delivery schedule are made by the courier, not by us. Which you were inform from our Customer Services.

I’m glad the quality of the meat met your expectations, but I’m sorry that our support didn’t meet your expectations on this occasion.
