We have just returned from a magical family holiday. I contacted Josh not knowing what we really wanted and he took it from there. He planned a perfect trip for us and it was seamless from start to finish. Everything about our trip was amazing and his recommendations perfectly matched us as a family. We had an initial call with Josh to go through our ideas for our honeymoon and then Josh created our dream tailor-made honeymoon! He was extremely knowledgable and really listened to our wants and needs, offering lots of advice about different countries and potential trips and then creating a sustainable and unique trip for us.

We had the such a magical time on safari in Kenya, followed by a relaxing week on the coast. The whole experience was beyond our expectations and felt truly special and something we'll cherish forever.

Josh's organisation was flawless, right from the beginning we had a clear itinerary and app with all of the information we needed and he was always quick to respond to us if we had any queries. When we landed everything was perfectly planned so we didn't need to think about a single thing, from transfers, flights and tickets, it was all organised for us so took the stress away meaning we could fully relax and enjoy the honeymoon.

My wife and I rented out our house for over 6 years and travelled the World independently. Now in our 70’s we wanted to visit the Okavango. I began to research in my usual way and considered for the first time to ask for some specialist help. Responsible Travel recommended Josh at Faran Travel.
Our conversation with Josh started with suggestions for Chobe and the Okavango in Botswana but extended to encompass what we had planned as a self-drive in Namibia.
Briefly, the outcome was assistance with route, car hire, accommodation recommendations and bookings plus various local back up arrangements for 2 weeks in Namibia plus a package for 3 x 3-night all inclusive safaris in Chobe (1) and Okavango (2).
The result was a big success in that we had more comfort, security, and saw more wildlife than we ever imagined. Memories (and photos) to last a lifetime.
Throughout the process from A to Z, Josh was professional, patient, enthusiastic, knowledgeable and added value at every step.
We arranged a side visit to Victoria Falls ourselves which fitted in well.
As we travelled around, I was constantly self-assessing how it might have turned out if we had done the independent option we are used to. I never regretted doing this trip with Josh’s assistance. In particular I cannot imagine we would have got close to experiencing the wonders of Chobe and the Okavango if we had not received and accepted his recommendations based on his deep local knowledge of the region.
I am more than happy to recommend anyone in a similar position to us to have a conversation with Josh and to entrust their travel dreams with him.

Faran Travel was suggested as one of the options by Responsible Travel for our trip to Zamia and Botswana. Josh listened carefully to our wishes and provided the perfect itinerary, taking everything we asked for into account. Josh planned, coordinated and facilitated a truly amazing African Safari experience for 18 days. The trip exceeded our expectations at every step of the way.
We have traveled extensively prior to this trip, but this brought our travel experience to another level. Josh made everything seamless.
Josh worked with each of the lodges we stayed at to ensure that our dietary and personal preferences were met and that we had the best possible experiences. Every detail was taken care of. The first time we were dropped by a bush plane in the middle of nowhere and the Lodge personnel was there to meet us, I knew that we had hired the right person in Josh. Actually, the airstrips were attended, but it was by zebras, ostriches or elephants. What an incredible way to start our trip at Phinda to be greeted by zebras at the airstrip.
We would highly recommend each of the lodges that Josh picked, including Phinda Forest Lodge, Kirkman Kamp, Tongazabie Lodge, and Chobe Game Lodge. To say that each of these is a luxury lodge, is an understatement. The food, service and Game Drive experiences at each of the lodges was unbelievable. I didn’t think this level of service was still available any place in the world.
The final Safari experience was the Golden Africa Roving luxury camp, which is definitely a must. Josh truly left the best for last. You do not want to miss this experience.
If Josh is available, I would definitely recommend having him as a personal guide. His vast knowledge of Africa, his photography expertise, and his ability to interact with all of the lodge personnel, airlines, and visa agents was indispensable during our trip. He made moving from country to country with the various visas requirements seamless. Josh is just a pleasure to have with you and you know that everything is being taken care of which was very important to us since we had never been to Africa and we wanted to have as many different experiences as we could during the trip.
We can’t wait to plan our next trip with Josh!!

Josh was responsive and helpful while we discussed the requirements of our trip to Namibia. We didn't know the country, so his experience and advice were invaluable in ensuring all went to plan over the two weeks of self-drive holiday. All the accommodation was good, we were met at each location and made to feel welcome. We were lucky with the wildlife but going towards the end of the rainy season meant we had to be flexible with the travel arrangements. Josh’s agents in Namibia were helpful in organising things when river crossings proved risky on our leaving day.
Josh was keen to obtain feedback after the trip and had a caring attitude throughout, while adding his own experience and advice which proved knowledgable and relevant.

Everything was tailor made and therefore everything ran perfectly. Joshua was in frequent contact throughout the holiday to check if everything was ok. We had the most memorable holiday to Sri Lanka and the Maldives and would thoroughly recommend Joshua and Faran Travel to anyone seeking a very special holiday

I can't recommend Josh and Faran Travel highly enough - from the first contact for our proposed East Africa safari and Zanzibar, through the trip followup, he has been amazing to work with. He asked what we were looking for and our budget, and crafted a bespoke trip that fit every wish list item. Faran Travel provided a fully personalised experience. Josh designed our bespoke trip around our dates and timeframe, which fit together seamlessly. When we missed our connection and our luggage didn't make it to Lusaka, he was on the case to rebook an internal flight and help reunite us with our cases as soon as possible. It was a fantastic trip through the highlights of Zambia including incredible wildlife and Victoria Falls.
