Friendly and helpful staff at Kapiti
I arrived at EVO Kapiti with a bike I thought was faulty (not bought from EVO). Staff from both the retail store and the workshop went out of their way to help and advise me. I couldn't have asked for better or friendlier service. I will happily return to EVO Kapiti for future purchases or servicing.
My wife bought more than $400.00 worth…be careful what you buy !!
My wife bought more than $400.00 worth of equipment at the Seattle Store late last month, including a jacket and a bike saddle for me because I complained too much about my old bike saddle. She was told she could return it if I did not like it.A week later i did go to their store to have the saddle installed since i was not able to remove theolder saddle on my boke due to being very tightly locked.I got the help from the bike department and installed the new saddle for me.The sam afternoon I went on a 9 mile bike ride to test the saddle, however, it was more uncomfortable than the one I had on before.When I tried to return the saddle I was told "NO RETURN ON USED EQUIPMENT! How is that for "Huzzle free Returns? You mean I can not try a bike ore saddle to make it work for me and can not return anymore because I have used it? Even for less than half a day? Some Customer Service...

Item would not fit bike. Refund not allowed
Purchased an item from the Papanui store last weekend. Queried with the sales person that if it wouldnt fot my bike could I return it.
Was not told of the "no refunds " policy or that refund would be store credit. The item would not fit my bike and so I returned it today to be told I could only get a store credit. Not happy at all with this and the sales person just pointed to a sign stuck to the rear or the pos monitor.
In the end I got a refund less 10% for restocking fee!!!!! What a crock of crap to be honest. Yep I understand if I had purley changed my mind but the item purchased woth not fit as per the instructions supplied, the packaging was in tact ( as instructions were clearly visible) and I didn't like the sales suggestion of ' just out a canle tie around it to hold it in place' certainly will not be going back to an Evo Cycles store.

Fox shorts failed after 4 rides
Fox shorts failed after 4 rides. The dome does not hold shut. A bit like my fox gloves, where the velcro has delaminated from the material, poorly constructed shorts.

Service from Darren at Rototuna…
When I first asked Darren at Rototuna about a cycle helmet I was told to come back later when they had more stock, something to do with financial year?? When I came back about two weeks later Darren said he had an email to send & walked off leaving me, who has no idea on what helmet to buy to select my own. The selection in store was poor & half of the helmets where out of my reach and the only one I found that fitted nicely was on display with a broken visor. I pointed out the broken visor to Darren but he wasn't interested, I suggested a discount (Evo had similar currently on sale) as I was going to have to repair the visor and it was a display model, but no, full retail price had to be payed for a broken display helmet. I then had trouble trying to repair the visor & returned to Frankton store hoping for a better experience. They were friendly & promised a replacement in two days but have not got back to me and have not answered my phone calls or messages left. Very disappointed as in the past you guys were great to deal with. Please return my phone calls you owe me a NEW Helmet!

Our experience with Evo Cycles Tower Junction has been absolutely fantastic.
We bought a bike for our son last Christmas, and from the very beginning, the whole process was smooth and enjoyable. The staff were incredibly helpful and patient, letting our son try different models to find the perfect fit. That hands-on approach made a big difference and showed they genuinely care about getting it right.
What really stood out was their professionalism. They assembled the bike as part of the service to ensure everything performs exactly as it should, and they were more than happy to store it in their warehouse until we were ready to collect it—such a thoughtful and convenient touch.
Every interaction came with a big smile and a willingness to help. Communication was easy, questions were always answered, and the level of customer service was truly outstanding.
The bike itself has been a huge success—well loved and heavily used by our son, which says it all. We’re very grateful for the experience and the quality.

I appreciate the way they prioritised our last minute need to get the bike brakes fixed during our walk-in visit. They accommodated this amidst their fully booked schedule and we could take the bike to our holiday, which saved hiring a bike there.

Terrible service
Terrible service, terrible communication.
Both bikes recently serviced have had to go back to be fixed.
Spent $1100 and had to rent a bike whilst one went back. Now the 2 one crapped out on 1st ride.
