Very kind service
Very kind service, i wasn’t sure what I need to do in my loft, Shay came to inspect my loft and gave me two options, I decided to go with the cheaper option( top up the insulation) .
The team came 10 days after to complete the job.

Dishonest quotation for loft insulation
I enquired with this company after discovering that my property was listed as having no loft insulation on the EPC. I struggled to get into the loft myself. I was initially quoted approximately £600 to put in loft insulation and I booked a loft inspection to assess for this. After this, I was quoted £1520. I asked why it had increased so much and I was told that there was old insulation in there that was not fireproof and needed to be replaced. I received an invoice with the total cost but no breakdown of prices. I became suspicious and managed to get into the loft myself. I found a Claim of Conformity: Loft Insulation form by British gas from 2014 attached to the wall near the entrance. It stated that full thickness, compliant insulation had been installed in 2014. On inspection, this is the case.
I have therefore been treated fraudulently by this company.

Risposta di Efficient Loft Insulation
Hi Helen - I already replied to your email so i will just do a copy past .
I attached the video from your loft according to Sharon the inspector.
The insulation have rubble on top of the insulation ( reduce the thickness of the insulation)and the color of the insulation( usually happens from condensation)
Also the insulation underneath the yellow is older than 2014 and both of the materials not fire resistant.
Some companies suggested top up , some companies suggested spray foam( even if its make problems with the mortgage) and some companies suggesting replacement, to charge you 600£ to add more insulation above the boards not gonna make any difference and it’s way more expensive then it is ( your entire loft is 30 sqm so just the small section of boards to install 600£ it’s over charge ) we suggest to remove the existing boards , remove two layers of insulation ( including the first layer under the new insulation which was the original when the house was build) , sanitize the loft, block holes and gaps and install new boards. (600£ to top up the boards it’s way more expensive than our quote ).
We provide free quote and we never provide the final price on the site , which mean we never push the client to sign or get a decision on the spot( our reputation speak for himself).
In your case it was or to leave the insulation as is or do full replacement.
We provide the service with love and respect, I can provide you a list of minimum 50-70 clients that we provide them service for free ( install small amount of insulation, block holes , install light covers or pipe insulation).
All the best

Efficient Loft Ltd
Very pleased
Shay and his team were extremely professional from first contact to completion of the job. My loft was cleared of layers of old, dirty insulation, cleaned out, and reinsulated. The guys worked non-stop to get it done. They were polite and took great care to cover up as much as possible with dust sheets. Very pleased and wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Risposta di Efficient Loft Insulation
Hi Marysia
Thank you for your kind words.
Very responsive to my first contact
Very responsive to my first contact, and came to quote within a week. My loft was very dirty and full of old blown insulation. Shay’s team took on the job with out any complaint and it was completed within a few hours, with clean non flammable insulation laid.
As I had a new roof, I had building control to inspect the insulation as part of the sign off of this work and it met their requirements. So you can be assured Efficient Loft will fit insulation that meets current building regs. Great job and would recommend wholeheartedly.

Very helpful to plan and schedule this job. Cleared out old insulation and foam from large loft space then put in new mineral fibre insulation. The crew were great, worked like trojans and left with minimal mess to clear. Disposed of all the bagged up old stuff off the drive next day. Very highly recommended.

A truly helpful and professional company
Our Scout hut desperately needs new inside roof insulation, from the wall plate up to the apex. Shay, from Efficient Loft Insulation, met me at the hut with the intention of giving me a quote, only to find that what was required was outside his remit but, rather than quit and leave, he took the time to explain what I needed to ask for with the specialist companies the job would require. Throughout our meeting Shay was friendly, professional and ever so helpful. A good company to deal with.
