I decided to use this company to fit my solar panels because my neighbour also wanted solar panels and we decided to both put them on simultaneously to save money. Although, the reviews and price was good, unfortunately since the very start our cooperation and communication was off. The installation team was nice and did what they were told. But after the solar panels were fitted I realised the net that was meant to be installed but was missing. I wasn’t told before or after installation that it would be missing although in the agreement it was decided the net is included. After installation I reached out to the company about the issue and they informed me that the solar panels were too tight and the net couldn’t be included. As a customer I should be informed before the installation that parts of the package would be missing. I am displeased that the agreement was incomplete.

Up until the installation of my Solar PV system everything was fine with this company. The survey & Installation were carried out on time. HOWEVER, a qualified electrician had to enter my loft space shortly after & noted that there were wires from the solar panels strewn everywhere & not clipped up tidily. The second problem was with the meter installation. A meter was installed to measure the amount of power generated by the PV cells. This was wired incorrectly according to my energy supplier when they came to change my electricity supply meter. Wires were fed on top of the original meter partially obscuring the display & wired directly into the meter rather than into an isolating box. The ECH installer who came to fix it was rude & tried to blame me for his bad workmanship. Finally I have had major problems trying to obtain the DNO documentation for the installation. The company director Carl Hughes is a nightmare to deal with. Customer service is non-existent & his latest email to me was rude & threatening. He accused me of sending inappropriate & rude emails when I was just being firm & trying to obtain the correct documentation from him. DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY.

As a complete novice to Solar I had heard a load of stories about what you should and shouldn't do. Thankfully Carl at ECH was both extremely helpful and patient with all my questions. With a fantastic installation team I have now got my solar panels which are the envy of my neighbours, perfectly positioned to give me maximum output. I would highly recommend ECH to any prospective purchaser.

I can’t fault ECH, from initial contact they provided a competitive quote and answered any questions promptly. The installation team were great and very hard working, they were clearly very experienced and knew what they were doing. The installation is neat and tidy and seems to be working well, we haven’t had many sunny days to fully test the system but even on cloudy days the panels are providing enough power for the home and to charge the battery! I would definitely recommend ECH Ltd to family and friends.

Further to my last year's review post installation, I can add additional comment based on operational experience.
There was a problem with our iBoost water heater, it failed. ECH stepped in, under the terms of the supply contract, dealt with the manufacturer, arranged a replacement and carried out the removal and installation of the new unit.
This was achieved quickly with minimal inconvenience and at no financial loss to us.
It proved to us that the guarantee assurances provided by the company were real and applied to the benefit of the customer. Excellent on going support.

Highly recommend ECH to anyone who wants PV install. This company it's not a "push" one and let you make decision whilst answering lots of your questions. The installers are very respectful towards you and whole property, making sure there is no faults and mess before they leave.

We are very impressed by our new 5.6kw solar system and battery. A purchase such as this is a little daunting but the team at ECH guided us through the specification process without pushing for a sale and the system we had installed is clearly ideal for our requirements. The installation team did a fantastic job and their work integrated seamlessly with the roofing company. The certification/approval to link to the grid was done very quickly too. Ordering the solar system was a late addition to our roofing project and ECH timed everything perfectly to suit our roofers. I have been really impressed with their service and we have an integrated system that looks great too.

Installing Solar installation needs careful research as in my opinion there are many companies following the past double glazing policy, the customer is given an over priced quotation which is discounted if accepted on the spot.
Solar installation is a long term investment so its important that you choose the very best system within your budget that will deliver the energy savings that suits your needs. Its also important to choose an installer that will advise, build and support your installation over the solar life cycle.

I contacted the Renewable Energy Association and was given three solar installers contact details, all three offered the same advice based on my property roof space and location but some applied sales pressure to try and secure a contract.
I chose ECH for the installation because Carl Hughes in my opinion offered the best unbiased advice on different systems and products explaining benefits against costs, leaving the final decision to me without any sales pressure.
In September 2020 ECH supplied and fitted 15 SunPower in roof panels, inverter, two storage batteries and an I buddy immersion heater smart controller. I initially wanted three but Carl suggested installing two and add additional at later date if needed, which was good advice.
I was so please with the service and installation that have just added another six SunPower panels and another inverter to my property.
From initial enquiry to installation as expected first class service.

Great service from quoting to installation.
Carl was great in putting a quote together for a good size solar PV on our bungalow with battery backup. No pushy salesman tactics just the quote and any questions answered. Guys turned up on the day as booked and just cracked on with the installation, clean and tidy install, took all rubbish away with them and showed me how the system and the app worked. So glad I decided to go with ECH and would definitely recommend them to anyone else considering a solar PV installation.

Karl and the team have been fantastic throughout the whole process of our ground installed solar array.
No pressure sales, just courteous speedy responses to questions coupled with a great price and after sales service. Highly recommend!

Carl was extremely patient and supportive whilst I was doing my research and making a decision about whether to have solar panels installed at our property. High standards of customer service are important to me and Carl was able to demonstrate that ECH are a company that can be trusted to address any teething problems which in our case arose due to a misunderstanding between our roofing contractors and the ECH installers. This matter was resolved with no fuss and within a week of the original installation. My thanks to Carl and the Team who were friendly and professional throughout the whole process.

I can't fault the service I've received from ECH. I'm really pleased with the system and will recommend them to other friends and colleagues looking to get a PV install.

Working with Carl at the outset to design the system and answer my MANY questions I feel I've ended up with a system that both exceeds my requirements and that I understand well.

The installation team who came (Matt, Morgan, Liam, Dan) were simply brilliant. They worked tirelessly on some of the hottest days of the year and have an attention to detail that means the final installed product looks incredibly tidy and smart on the house. I'm used to checking after tradesmen to tidy up, I had nothing to do here as it was left very neat and tidy.

Sure we had some minor problems and set backs along the way, this is to be expected on a job like this with so many variables but the mark of a good company isn't that there are no problems but how they are rectified. From the office to the installation team problems were sorted without fuss or fanfare.

Absolutely brilliant service from the start and still receiving a brilliant service. Carl was very informative and gave some great suggestions. Other companies seem to be offering more solar panels and batteries than i needed. One great bit of kit is the I Boost which uses excess power to heat up the hot water tank via the immersion. This should pay for itself within 18 months. The whole system should pay for itself in just over 7 years. The insulation team where very professional, polite and installed in the middle of pandemic. The company have been very supportive and after care is great. Never having had solar panels before i had several questions over the last 8 months which the company have replied to very promptly. Having had several quotes from different providers they where head and shoulders above everyone else, even on price.

We had a really positive experience from start to finish. Carl was engaged from the start, sharing his knowledge and expertise. Due to the layout of our property the positioning of the solar panels had to be revised a couple of times but this was done with the minimum of fuss. The installers were professional and easy to deal with. All in all, a good experience.

A great service, always responsive to my many questions, before ordering and the installation team were brilliant. Post installation, the support has been equally good, ensuring all the documentation is available to support my SEG application. I have already recommended ECH Solar and will continue to after the experience I have received.

I had several quotes before deciding to use ECH. Not only was their quote the most reasonable but after the onsite survey it came down as we didn't need as many panels as first thought.
Throughout Carl was engaging, knowledgeable, easy to contact, was never pushy or trying to sell me more than I needed.
The installation was done in a day, on the day planned, and Luc kept me informed of their arrival time on the day itself. Luc and his colleague (I didn't get his name) worked extremely hard on one of the hottest days we'd had in a while. They were clean, tidy and efficient, no mess left behind and a very neat installation of the inverter in my garage.
When I come to retrofit a battery in a few years time I'll certainly be using ECH again.

ECH Group have recently completed the installation of a 12 x 385W solar array coupled to a Lux Power battery storage system.
I am particularly pleased to report that all has gone very well indeed. The pre-sales support and information stream was excellent with someone always accessible over the phone or by email to answer the many queries I had.
The installation was thoroughly professional and accommodating to the requests I had regarding routing and location of the battery and inverters.
Overall, I am very pleased with the outcome and they deserve the 5-star rating.
Hopefully the post-installation support will be just as good re: transition to a variable pricing outgoing tariff with the energy supplier and I suspect also, with some optimisation of the battery charge/discharge - the feeling I get already, is that it will be.

I was concerned that the price quoted was too good to be true, but true to their word the work was done without any additional charges just as quoted for, despite the job not being the most straightforward in the world.

Yes there were a few hitches, but the important thing is that the company dealt with these asap and without complaint. We weren’t charged until the work was all completed. The app won’t work, but that is because of our remote location and not for want of trying on the company’s part.

The panels are working brilliantly, we had 12 x 385 w put up and even today when it is pouring with rain they are making 280w per hour. On sunny days we are clocking up anywhere between 15 and 30 kws depending on the consistency of the day. Over 4kw an hour in sun close to mid day and even an hour before twilight electricity is still being made. I was very doubtful about the quantity of kws which would be clocked up but we are all very impressed in our household and have kept nipping down to check what is being made.
