James' method is ideal for older learners no matter what stage you are at with your playing. His teaching is clear and well developed covering all aspects of the bass guitar from theory to technique, maintenance, equipment etc.
I find the courses to be reasonably priced and structured with the books being good value, there is also a wealth of free info and videos too.
There are no silly Insta/Facebook/Youtube presenter shenanigans either, just thoughtful and well presented.

I use & recommend the Bass Lab Plus subscription because of the amount of info in one place, James teaching style and the summer rate value ($99). It is easy to go back to and refresh previously used lessons.
