Called in to East Durham Guitars for some carbon neck rods which you just can’t find anywhere else. The guys were a great help and picked them up at a reasonable price. They took the time to show me some of their tonewood stock and explain their facilities. Picked up some nice back and sides for my next build and will definitely make them a regular port of call . Highly recommend them .

Really quick delivery, good sized piece of wood, well quarter sawn. I've managed to cut down to size for an acoustic neck, leaving me enough spare to make 16 lengths of solid kerfing. It smells great as well!

I took my vintage acoustic guitar in for a new bridge and their service, personal touch and expertise was simply second to none. The whole team are highly professional, very friendly. There is simply nowhere in the North East as good as these guys. Get along and check them out.

Well-priced and friendly service.

Purchased a second-hand guitar (Adam Black S5) from Facebook Marketplace. However, there was some buzzing from the bottom 3 strings against the top 3 frets.

Not only did the team fix the buzzing, but they also cleaned up my guitar and fitted new strings. All this for just £15.

Will definitely return as & when required.

I have visited East Durham guitars on several occasions with my 10 year old son in the past few weeks. We have had both an electric and acoustic guitar repaired. Both have been expertly repaired. They have made us feel very welcome and have taught my son how to play the opening part of an Oasis track. I highly recommend you give them a visit if you love guitars and music. Absolutely a first class experience!!

East Durham Guitars is a fantastic addition to the area, offering not just your usual guitar related needs such as re-strings and setups etc, but unique services such as guitar building and guitar setup courses. They also sell a wide range of guitars, amps and accessories.

Martin did an excellent job at setting up my Epiphone Les Paul, plays perfect. I brought in one of my guitars for a minor repair. To my surprise, they not only diagnosed and fixed the issue the same day but also graciously waived the fee, considering it a minor adjustment. I can't fault the staff and service. I will definitely be using them for all my six string requirements from now on!

I had two acoustic guitars repaired by East Durham Guitars - the lads are friendly, knowledgeable, open and honest and price wise they are very reasonable. I wouldn’t hesitate to go back should I need to and may actually buy a guitar from them for my daughter who’s learning (let’s see if she sticks in first) as they’ve quite a few in stock and ideal for first time buyers - not too expensive and decent guitars - if you need anything doing re guitars, give the guys a call. I did and it was the best thing I’ve done!
