Eargo 7 is GO !

I first tried out a blank Eargo sample to see if I would like the device in my ears, that worked out well, so eventually after looking at other brands I decided on the Eargo 7. Reasons for this choice are: The device disappears in my ears so it cannot be seen (that's one of the best things), then I tried them out and after some experimenting with settings, getting use to the device in my ears I find my hearing is greatly improved, I can hear birds chirping and people talking from a distance (and understanding them) No more lip reading and falling back on stock answers and expressions. On a side note, I have almost gone to bed with them in my ears they are very comfortable! I recommend the Eargo 7's.

I was searching for a couple of years…

I was searching for a couple of years for the right hearing aids then I came across the Eargo 7. I have had these 5 months now and love them, can’t wait to see what they come out with next

I love my EARGOs

I love my EARGOs. I have had them for about four months and can’t say one negative thing about them. My hearing is great and they are super easy to use and clean.

I've been using my Eargo hearing aids…

I've been using my Eargo hearing aids for several months now, and I am still impressed with how well they work. Adjustments and programs are easy with their app and the recharger allows me to use them all day. Nice to hear whispers from my girlfriend!

Eargo SE Hearing Aids

I have been a Eargo Hearing Aids customer in the past. I was always happy with them but they finally reached the point when it was time to retire them.

I purchased the new Eargo SE hearing aids. I was very surprised and happy with the upgrades made. They are easy to charge and clean. The new app also has programs that help you set the aids for the best performance. The sound match program helps you to set the Eargo for the best results based on your current hearing levels. Another great program is the ability to select a preset environment such as restaurant or TV
to further tune the Eargos as well as a volume program by ear.

The most important point is that I hear better. I can follow a conversation in a restaurant much better and participate to a much greater level. My hearing will never be perfect again but the new Eargo SE has greatly improved my ability to hear. I would highly recommend them.

On last point is the excellent service that Eargo provides during the set up process. Very easy to reach someone for whatever help you need. They also have very good videos that can also help you.

I am enjoying my new Eargo SE

I am enjoying my new Eargo SE. The product I feel is definitely better than my first pair of Eargo NEO HIFI. The setup, new smaller charger and quality of sound is a tremendous improvement. They are more comfortable. The cost was very reasonable for the product offered. I am enjoying my new Eargo SE to the fullest.

I love my Eargo 7 hearing aids

I love my Eargo 7 hearing aids. They are everything as advertised. They are small, provide clarity and change volume automatically based on the environment. They have eased my hearing loss and changed my life. I have used other hearing aids and these are far superior. I highly recommend the Eargo 7 and the service and support Eargo staff provides and also available remotely. Judy M.

Amazingly Good and Invisible

Before purchasing FROM Eargo, I did a lot of research online, of course without the ability test them before purchase. However, the 45 day guarantee offered was enough for me and I decide to give them a try. The first time that I tried them I noticed an amazing difference. The sound was very crisp, clear and made a huge difference. I did the Sound Match three times and was surprised that each time it produced a slightly different result – sometimes better and others less so. In short I experimented trying to find the perfect settings. 

After a couple of weeks, I obtained a copy of a hearing test that I had completed approximately a year ago and after a telephone conversation with Jerry in support, I forwarded the report to him. Apparently the report suggested quite a few differences from the setting resulting from Sound Match. Jerry was able to program in the test results and the results went from good to great.

They are conformable to wear all day, such that I forgot that I was wearing them half the time, the battery lasts forever and finally I have to mention their support dept. They kept in touch with me from day one and when I called for some assistance they were ready to help in any way they could. The whole experience is 5 STARS.

Not a good product

I purchased a pair for $2,500 and after using them for a maximum of 2 months they stopped working. I have tried to get help in fixing them, but without any luck. They want me to buy a new pair and ONLY offer a small discount. These hearing aids NEVER worked for me, and I'm so disappointed with this product, I cannot recommend this product.

The Eargo 7’s Changed my World

The Eargo 7’s have made a dramatic improvement in my life. I am close to my one year mark with my Eargo’s!! Considering I started out with a really expensive brand name hearing aid that just required appointment after appointment to try and get right for me, I know what I am talking about. Eargo’s were a breeze to set up and had me hearing better than those $5,500 hearings aids. Thank you so much Eargo for giving me my hearing back. I don’t have to keep asking coworkers or friends to repeat themselves!! Also, the Eargo team has the BEST customer service team I have ever dealt with, hands down!!! Keep up the good work Eargo!!

Time for Hearing Aids

I am a 69 year old Triathlete and, needless to say, I was very reluctant to purchase hearing aids I so desperately needed because of the stigma of appearing old! I finally went to an audiologist who recommended a $6K pair of hearing aids and I said there must be a better way. I found EARGO online after doing my research and decided to try them out. They have exceeded my expectations. They are very small, easy to insert and barely noticeable. I have been wearing them for a month and my kids don’t even know yet that I have hearing aids. In addition to them being barely noticeable, the sound quality is excellent and I feel like Superman sometimes. I am hearing things that I haven’t heard in years, like my wife talking from the next room! I highly recommend EARGOs for their size, value and quality!

Passive agressive support

I’m not the type to leave a review, but they made me. Bought the Eargo 7s as a replacement for my lost professionally fitted hearing aids. They were cheaper, and I do not have significant hearing loss, so I felt it was worth a try. I tried them, and the sound quality was not what I was used to; in-fact they sounded like a robot underwater, to the point that it was harder to understand things with them.

Now, perhaps this was how they were tuned, my hearing loss is mid-range due to music, and my audiograms are a-typical. The remote AUD gave me a few suggestions which I implemented but to no effect. Additionally, I have large ear canals (so I have been told) and I really felt they didn't fit well, it was difficult for me to remove the devices. Again, this is a “me” thing, not Eargo… thus far.

When I expressed I wanted to return them to the AUD she told me to give it more time and to try to get use to them, that I need to adapt to them. I expressed that because of the fit and the sound which made me feel nauseous to use because of the echo, I rather return them. I was content that these were just not for me, it wasn't a reflection on the device. I've had CIC and Behind the air, neither ever sounded like this, it was not an occlusion effect, it was robotic sounding, I was not going to adapt to that plus the fit was concerning. The conversation with the AUD went dead after that, no guidance on the return.

I reached out to support via email to initiate the response. They replied quickly saying I should get instructions by email soon. I waited a day and a “Personal Hearing Specialist” Named Todd Everhart reached out to me to facilitate the return and to get more information on why I was returning it. I told him I gave details both to the AUD and in the support email, and if he is asking for me to go through it a third time, to me, it was beginning to feel like a “hard close” tactic to make me keep the devices. I’ve twice said I want to return them, just let me return them. I was tired of being jerked around.

His response, and I quote, “ I would suggest if you try hearing aids at a future time with Eargo or another company, that you allow the Professionals to help you and give it more than a few days to acclimate.“ Allow the professionals to tell me to suffer and be dissatisfied with a product when the professionals in the past never left me dissatisfied? Not very professional, mind you I’m a doctor myself, but I didn’t think that was part of the conversation, but I guess I’m not a professional. Return instructions were then sent by email

Bottom line, I would just go to your audiologist and get fitted, remote support that is snarky and makes you jump through hoops isn’t worth it even if the hearing aids were good.

Thanks for making such a fantastic product. I can't tell you how much I love Eargo 7 hearing aids. I love your support team also. I hope in the future Eargo 8 may have Bluetooth, and be completely waterproof so I can go to the beach and swim with them in.

what a waste

If i could give them less than a one star i would,brought a pair of hearing aids,they would not charge only wore them one time,because they would not charge wanted to send back the company would not give me their address to send them,when i called about sending them back the company hung up on me,now i finally got to send back the hearing aids eargo is charging me for the damage hearing aids will not refund my full amount i paid I'm sending them back because they are already damage so what are they charging me for don't know i tried to contact eargo again they will not respond, I did find a pair of hearing aids that do the same thing but better, they was only $200 on Amazon real hearing aids too, don't waste your money on a company that will not respond, i work hard for my money not to just waste it.so the phone number that you give,they hang up on you when you call and the website nobody will respond,how good is that,again I would tell people not to buy eargo just steals your money.

The Eargo 7 completely met my expectations

The Eargo 7 completely met my expectations. I like the sound match feature to custoImize my frequency boost for each ear. I enjoy the different program modes (normal, music, restaurant, tv) when in different environments. When at the restaurant, I can hear conversations from other tables. My family realize that I stopped asking them to repeat what they are saying which is a game changer. Being able to make setting changes via a phone app is a great feature. I tried other least expensive hearing aids but they are terrible where they only amplifiy the sound and background noise. Eargo is a higher quality product but they are also the most expensive over the counter product.

I love my Eargo Links and prefer them…

I love my Eargo Links and prefer them to my original Eargos, but I liked them as well. I didn't think I would care about the Bluetooth feature, but I really enjoy having my hearing aids connected to my phone. And I like how they feel in my ears. My original Eargos were less visible and some might prefer that, but at 66 I don't care. Many people have Bluetooth devices in their ears, so I just look like one of them.

I like the EARGO SE's because they are reliable & simple.

I like the EARGO SE's because they were the simplest version I could find. while I use the internet & my iphone a lot (having even published a memoir online) I don't want to fuss with any more Aps to use my hearing aids, and the SE model accommodated me in this desire so I am pleased. I have had other hearing aids with a microphone over the ear before the Eargos and was not at all pleased with the way they "helped" me hear, so when I found your product and tried them I was delighted and haven't changed that opinion in all the years I've been using them. I see and ENT Dr. every 6 months to have my earwax professionally cleaned out and on the last visit my hearing (after the annual professional testing) was found to have improved!

My advice to your company is "Don't fix what's not broken" and keep the Eargo choices as simple as possible so the aging population like me can easily benefit from their use. Remember that Baby Boomers were accustomed to a dial phone, a TV with an antenna, and a record player - less bells and whistles and simplicity of use combined with your excellent quality and performance should serve to keep us happy and keep you in the game.
