Appalling customer service!

I ordered some roof rails and cross bars. Upon receipt and examination of the instructions I found there is a safety speed limit of 50mph when loaded. This was not disclosed on the website, and rendered them unsuitable for my needs. I complained about the lack of detail on the webpage but was merely offered apologies for any inconvenience, and advised I could return the item.
I returned at a cost to myself of 30 quid and received a refund. So after paying for delivery I have spent 45 quid and have no roof bars/rails.

Edit: I recognize that roof rails have safety speed limits, now. It would be nice to know before you buy. After reviewing other vendors they too fail to divulge such information. There is no reason to not purchase from DST, just ensure what you buy is fit for your purpose from every angle.

I am truly very satisfied with this purchase. The roof rails are solidly made, installation was simple, and the customer service was professional and very helpful 👏👏👏
There should definitely be more companies like this on the market. I can highly recommend them!

I bought a set of roof rails and cross bars from DST Automotive, and the entire experience has been an absolute nightmare.
​They sent me the completely wrong item. When I checked my invoice, it clearly proved that I ordered the correct part and they messed up the fulfillment. Instead of owning up to their mistake, their online customer service team tried to gaslight me, claiming I ordered the wrong thing. The level of unprofessionalism and deflection was downright appalling.
​It gets worse. Now, to get a refund for their blunder, they are demanding that I pay the return postage out of my own pocket AND they want to hit me with a restocking fee.
​Bottom line: They send the wrong items, blame the customer, and then use it as an excuse to steal your money via return shipping fees and bogus restocking charges.
​Save yourself the massive headache and take your business elsewhere. DST Automotive’s customer service is a joke, and their business practices are completely shameless. You have been warned.

Having lost a little rubber roof bar protector in my garage, I phoned up DST. I spoke to the very helpful Melissa.
And she popped two in the post for me

After having trouble paying by PayPal I rang customer services a very nice lady ordered it over the phone for me.
The roof rail and bars came in 3 days very quick delivery.
The rails where very easy to fit,I'm hoping to put my roof box on shortly. I would recommend this to anyone who's looking for theses items my friend will be ordering from her too.

Great company to deal with and their customer service is second to non, with fast replies and immediate resolutions.

I ordered roof bars from DST good quality from the packaging to the direct product it's self, how ever I noticed an issue with one of my bars not being long enough for my car. A quick email and this was resolved with them sending me out a slightly longer bar.

I would highly recommend

I was very impressed with the helpfulness and attention of the DST Automotive staff. I highly recommend them. I will come back again whenever I need to.

Ordered Tuesday morning.....delivered Wednesday lunchtime outstanding......nicely made fairly easy to fit......watch the video its easier than the book.....all fitted realised the door catch was missing.....1 email....quick response said item in post.....follow up phone call to explain.....well done Jack....amazing service....thankyou

Ordered a roof rack of these guys two days before the new year , paid next day delivery but didn’t turn up next day due to time of the year , emailed them couple of days later , quick response with the cost of my delivery refunded without asking , great customer service and would defo use these guys again

Please avoid this company at all costs. I purchased one of their auto roll tops for my truck, and wish I never had. The roll top cost over £1,000 and the quality was terrible. The instructions were wrong, it looks like a "seconds" item when it arrived, bolts were missing, batteries were missing.

Then, after I did manage to install, the roll top broke on the very first use. After endless calls, emails and messages, DST put the blame on me for "breaking" the item on first use and refused to return. I have since had to raise a complaint via my bank to try and get the money back

I also tried to return another unopened item to them, which they agreed. However, after 10 days, their item still hasn't been collected, meaning I won't get the money back from that one either.

Absolutely terrible customer service and no customer should be treated like they have treated me.

Absolutely awful bought two pairs of side steps for bmw x 4 and they both arrived faulty they took them back but won’t refund you they are overpriced crap there are better sellers out there had a mechanic come out twice now to fit them and he said what rubbish they are all bent up don’t fit
So I will go to BMW now you get what you pay for

Great customer service very responsive in whats app and email even came out to show me where the brackets go under my car and great quality of the running boards

Have used DST only once, but superb sales experience, a really efficient sales process, and speedy dispatch.
I had a problem with one of the parts of my original order after 1st use, and within 10 mins of sending a customer support email...all resolved and a new part sent out - Thank you Katrina!

Ordered the wrong item by mistake so came down to exchange it for the correct one.
The entire process was extremely easy and hasslefree.
Spoke to a lovely man who was extremely helpful.
As well as a lovely woman who was also extremely helpful.
Will definitely be using these again and I can gladly say that the experience they provided me with was unmatched.

Stumbled across DST whilst looking for roof bars for my Ford connect. I sent them a quick WhatsApp message and they replied quickly stating which bars would fit my fixed rails. I ordered & they were delivered with 24hrs. Brilliant service would recommend. Thank you Ryan.

Great service from dst turtle roof bars easy fit bought these to replace my low stealth bars no good due to load delivery done in 2 days very happy 😃 👍
