We had a dropped window and porch door. The porch door restrictor had also broken in some bad weather. Nic did an excellent job fixing both, even though the original window fitters had put the wrong size sash on the window.

Highly recommend Upglaze and they will be my go-to for any future repairs.

I had several ancient casement windows which were falling apart and unable to open and/or to keep open, and multiple issues with the guttering.

Nic perfectly refitted the guttering, and stripped and rebuilt the casement windows, leaving them as new.

He's quick, professional and highly skilled, leaving everything extremely clean & tidy.

We had some blown windows panes replaced, a fog flap filtted and the back door serviced do that it now shuts perfectly. We were very impressed with the professionalism shown and care taken when working in our house. We would definitely recommend Nic.

We had some tricky heritage units that had cracked out of the blue. Nic was able to advise us that they were thermal cracks and came out, measured and placed a special order for the two heritage units. He returned and fitted them, really taking his time and we are very pleased with the results. This was not an easy job and he was very responsive and we would highly recommend.

We had a number of problems with double glazed units. After looking at them for too long, we got round to looking for someone reliable to fix them. We were delighted to find Nic Ardley of Upglaze. He was very efficient and gave a competitive quotation (with no 'extras.') He clearly knew what he was talking about and explained things well. Nic measured and supplied three double-glazed panes (one an odd shape) and a new set of window hinges, and did some serious re-fixing of a door frame. All our problems were sorted out in an afternoon. We were delighted with Nic's work, his care, his professional and courteous approach, and the value for money he offered. This is an excellent business, which we are delighted to recommend.

Heard about Nicholas (Upglaze) on social media whilst I was searching for someone who could advise if I need to repair or replace my windows. Nic advised repairing them as a better option rather than replacing them completely. For better aesthetics, only glass panels were replaced. Nic was courteous and on schedule to get the job done.

Nick attended to take a look at at an issue with a broken hinge on a upvc patio door. He managed to realign and fix the issue without replacing which was great. He then noticed an issue with the door lock and he sorted this out as well. I found Nick a genuine decent tradesperson who certainly knows his craft. I would definitely recommend Nick and will be using him again for window replacements or general issues upvc related. A really nice guy!!!
