TBH i was a little skeptical given the prices of the XL powered blinds, especially as they were too big for many to even make but i have them up and they are fantastic!
Small gripes:
- Came 2 weeks later than they originally said they would and didnt get much of an apology for that. I wasn't in a rush though so it was fine
- The installation instructions online were not the easiest, perhaps a video might help
- didnt come with the screws and plugs to fix to the wall/ceiling
I purchased some blinds a few years ago and recently had an issue where the clip that fits into the bracket broke. When I called, the team were able to locate my original order straight away. Chloe, who I spoke with, was exceptionally helpful throughout. Although the part was no longer available as the range had been discontinued, they kindly made a replacement for me, which arrived within just a few days. Truly outstanding customer service from a fantastic company.
Always try and leave a good review when service is good and I am happy.
Happy with my blinds, quality, colour match, blackout works, fitted great. Love the new click in system (used to have to screw these together).
Guess time will tell if they last.

Extremely Disappointed with Blackout BiFold Blinds
We have been very disappointed with the quality and design of the Blackout BiFold Blinds. The original string design is extremely poor — the cords fray easily, and every single one of our blinds has started breaking and snapping.
We’ve now installed these blinds on 8 windows, spending over £1,000, and they are all failing. On top of that, the end caps have also snapped, adding to the frustration and cost.
When I contacted customer service, Victoria replied:
“The cord is being posted; lots of our customers have a go at this themselves. They can be re-corded at the factory, but due to your blinds being out of warranty, the repair would be chargeable.”
This response was disappointing and unhelpful, considering the price and the widespread faults.
Do not buy this product. Poor design, poor durability, and poor aftercare.
I ordered some large Roman blinds from Dotcomblinds. Before ordering, I contacted customer service to clarify how the blinds would look (number of pleats, layout, etc.), and they got back to me very promptly with all the details I needed. Their communication before and after purchase was excellent.
When the blinds arrived, the quality was good, but there was a small pen mark on the fabric. I contacted customer service, and they immediately arranged a replacement with no hassle, which I really appreciated.
However, the biggest issue I had was with their delivery notifications. On both occasions (original order and replacement), I didn’t receive any advance notice that the package was out for delivery. I only got confirmation a few days after it had already been delivered. Because the blinds are a large item, this caused some inconvenience. In one case, I had just gone away, and the parcel was left in my garden against the kitchen window during bad weather. Thankfully, my neighbour was able to bring it inside, but it could have been left outside for a week.
Overall, I’m happy with the product and impressed with the customer service, but I think their logistics system could be improved to give customers better delivery updates, especially for large items.

Despite an error by my assembler, who was not very clear on how to assemble the cabins together during the ordering phase, and despite my insistent requests to send me the missing pieces even though it was not their fault, they handled my request very professionally. They were very patient and understood the misunderstanding, providing a 5-star service, especially Victoria, who calmly fulfilled my request without charging me any additional costs. This is in addition to the high quality of the product. Highly recommended and I will definitely use their services again!
We purchased blinds from them with a black Friday deal where someone would come and measure our windows for them. Is now February, and no one has contacted us to make an appointment for that measurement and customer service has repeatedly ignored us. Absolutely do not buy from them.

I knew I wanted an electric roller blind for my wide kitchen windows, but didn't know what the options were. After struggling with several unhelpful websites, I found DotcomBlinds, which explained all I needed to know. I found a colour I liked & placed my order one evening, with delivery shown as 3-5 working days. It arrived 6 working days later; bearing in mind that the order would not have been processed until the next morning, that's fine with me. After opening the pack and checking the product, I realised that the wrong bottom bar had been fitted, so I emailed to ask what could be done about it. Received a very prompt, friendly, apologetic, reply promising a replacement would be delivered 2 working days later, which it was...and the new one looks to be all correct. Sadly, our fitter can't start work on our kitchen refurb till September, so I can't sensibly review the blind itself until the autumn!
I've used you many times.
Always quality service with a quality product at a good price .
Timely service with accurate fitting specs.
What more could you ask for?
Would definitely recommend .

Be careful when ordering from dotcomblinds. The blinds I ordered are not what I received on the pictures and no returns are accepted due o them being bespoke. Very disappointing and despite explaining I wouldn’t have ordered them if the blinds I received were actually the ones pictured but just been told no refund or returns.

Blinds are exactly what we wanted but the tension is really difficult to get right. They gap at the top, a small magnet inside the top fixer rail and the bar might work but I don't think I should be working this out to get them to sit right. I have altered the tension several times and the string is already fraying and I'm nervous about attempting anymore, if the string gives out, what are really expensive bifold blinds will be obsolete.
The company say they should come at the right tension but all three blinds are wrong and drop about 15 cm from the first fitting.
Customer service so far has been good, I would love to get the tension right or be supported to do so without the fear of the strings snapping.
Back on the phone to them tomorrow so may update this review depending on outcome!

I very very rarely write reviews, but I felt like I had to make an exception this time due to the absolute shocking attitude from customer service. I enquired with them about a producted I wanted, battery powered blind… I hadn’t had one before so wanted to make sure I ordered the right thing as some of the information on there website is conflicting. The guy sent me the link and ordered what I needed. I only ordered from this company because I desperately needed it before Christmas. I paid a surcharge for this pleasure. The blind came as planned and had it put up (feeling very relieved it was all sorted) but as it transpires, you have to buy a remote separately!! At no point did the man on customer services advise this was an additional item, nor did it come up on their website as one of the additional items to purchase alongside the product (there were other options with the product like solar pack etc) but no remote.
I made a complaint about this via chat and spoke to the very same person… his immediate response was “I’m sorry that you didn’t purchase the remote to go with your blind” …. Major gaslighting! The attitude was appalling and the immediate reaction is clearly to blame the customer. I asked for one to be sent via special delivery (postage at their expense) so I could use it as intended (particularly as I had paid an extra £20 shipping to get it before Christmas) and they refused. Constantly told me it was my fault. I reached out for them looking for what I needed and was also very clear that I needed it before Christmas and that is what the choice was based upon. At no point did they advise it’s sold separately, you have to have a good hunt around on their website for this information. Basic customer service might warrant the courtesy of saying oh btw, please be sure to purchase your remote in addition… but no, how would they rip you off and get to charge more money if they did that?
There was absolutely no willingness whatsoever to try and resolve this issue, clearly they literally could not care less. So, I have been left with an item unfit for its intended use (because it is completely defunct without that remote) and having spent over £300 for the pleasure of it. Now the whole thing will be going back to them because they are utterly awful.
Their response to my review speaks volumes… I rest my case. There is a reason they have 30% 1 star reviews.
