It was great getting to see the Prince William Sound so close up, meeting new friends, and getting to see Dean again after all these years.

We had a great5 days on this charming boat. I was sorry not to see more of the sound where we could see whales but the weather was against us.
The walking and canoeing were highlights. My lasting memory was the delicious food Meg spoilt us with!

Trip of a lifetime.
Even with rainy weather, this trip was one of the most beautiful excursions ever. The food was incredible. I cannot compliment Meg enough on her perfect planning and preparation of the meals. Being on a tiny boat with a limited number of passengers allows for an intimate Alaska experience. Hugh was an incredible guide. Dean, Hugh and Meg were all extremely knowledgeable on all topics "Alaska". I hope to do another Discovery Voyage trip in the future.

This trip was amazing. The ship was the perfect size to allow us to meet the other passengers. The scenery in Prince William Sound is awesome. The glaciers calving was great to see up close. The food was excellent and varied. The knowledge of Captain Dean is unmatched. The trip exceeded our expectations.

The crew made this voyage unforgettable. Super friendly, extremely knowledgeable and very attentive to any requests. The boat is very well maintained- clean and well equipped

This was a remarkable, almost transcendent experience! Dean and Meg were both wonderful and immensely knowledgable and kind, as were our guides, Matt and Anna. I loved every aspect of this trip, and the experience of the sound, the wildlife, the silence, and the wondrousness of it all will live forever within me. And Meg was magical with the food! My only request would have been a few more vegetarian choices, thought the salads were great.

Genuine hospitality from the moment you step on the Discovery; the hiking, kayaking, and exploring are immersive and educational; an environment of acceptance, laughter, and no expectation of expert ability; the highest quality meals and equipment are provided. We would love to go again!

What a way to experience my bucket list Alaska trip! the boat, the food, the chef, the captain, and the amazing guide, made this a trip I will remember forever. If you are pondering this...JUST DO IT!

Dean, Megan, and Julia were fantastic. Everything was top notch. The food was great and the activities were well planned. They were all very knowledgeable and willing to share it. We would recommend them to anyone that is looking for a truly unique and memorable experience.

Captain Dean, Chef Meg and the entire crew are amazing, and are totally dedicated to an excellent guest experience. In cozy comfort and safety, they take you to see some of the most spectacular views on the planet. In addition, they provide a variety of activities, from hiking to kayaking to glacier watching (it's an active sport) to immerse you (sometimes literally) in the essence of Prince William Sound. Their knowledge of and experience in these waters made the adventure a valuable learning experience for all, from our 69-year-old grandpa to his 10-year-old granddaughter (both of whom took the 44 degree plunge!)

My husband and I, along with our son, daughter-in-law and 4 grandkids went on this incredible adventure! Dean and Meg, the owners, with Julia as assistant and guide, showed us amazing glaciers, waterfalls and wildlife of all kinds. We hiked, kayaked and saw/heard glaciers calving. The food was wonderful and Meg is an amazing chef! We went for 3 days, but would recommend longer if you have the time. Boating out into the sound takes time, so on a longer trip, there is more time to see/do things.

As you have read in most of the reviews it truly is the trip of a lifetime and such an amazing way to see Prince William Sound. The expertise of the Captain and crew is so reassuring as you know are then hands of expertise that knows the area, weather and how to plan the best activities along the way. The food was amazing and the family just loved it. Even my 17 year old son who really is not an outdoorsman or had any desire to go on the trip ended up begrudgingly loving it. I am so happy we did this and would recommend it to anyone.

Our trip with Discovery Voyages was amazing. The sturdy, 65 foot, steel hulled boat allowed us to go into Fjords on Prince Williams Sound that other boats could not access. We were in waters surrounded by giant ice bergs, sea otters and panoramic views of the glaciers. Food was incredible and Dean (Captain), Megan (Gourmet cook), Julia and Katie (Crew) shared their knowledge of the Prince William Sound. Highly recommend this trip.

One of the best travel experiences I have had; certainly the highlight of our trip to Alaska. Dean and Megan are genuinely wonderful people and very knowledgeable of the history and environs of Prince William Sound. The small, steel hulled Discovery easily and safely navigated through floating ice to get close to glaciers. Hikes on shore were also great and informative. Dean, Megan and their crew worked tirelessly to ensure we all had a good experience. Megan is a consummate chef; food was consistently excellent. Would do the trip again, but for a longer period of time.

We wanted an Alaskan small boat cruise and we found the ultimate!
The crew were so welcoming, knowledgeable and wanted to show us the grandeur, wildlife and beauty of the Prince William Sound and to experience hiking in boreal forests, kayaking in pristine clear waters amongst icebergs and forest covered fjords and to savor the amazing gourmet food prepared in the tiny galley. It was the highlight of our Alaskan adventure, thank you!
