Worst App

Of all the apps I have downloaded, this one is the worst. When I click on it, it is very slow to open, if it opens at all. It has even turned my TV off a couple of times. The content is old and can't seem to find anything new added for a long while. I would rate the app a 2.5 but not an option.

Worst customer service ever

Worst customer service ever. Deactivate your account even though you have paid every month. No one knows how to flip a switch and reactivate account even though you provided proof of payment

Lack of motortrend content

My membership was transferred when they bought motortrend. Disappointed in the service since. I believe the app is broken and not showing the latest content in the new episodes area. According to new episodes there has been nothing new for almost a month. Tried to get customer service involved but they kept replying with the same canned statement. Now the app wont start, reached out through chat but all agents were busy so they will email me again with the same canned statement I'm sure. If something doesnt change soon I will have to cancel. No content for a month, what am I paying for!

They ruined motortrend

They ruined motortrend, the only reason I have discovery plus. Motortrend on demand was perfect and flawless and then it was replaced by discovery plus when it was sold and now it doesn’t work the same.

Discovery+ WAS a great deal and set of…

Discovery+ WAS a great deal and set of channels, however now with the exception of a few Food Network shows you can only watch previous seasons. The list of current episodes grows smaller and smaller each week!!! It’s time to cancel we can watch reruns for free why pay Discovery+ for them.

Awful

Awful! Suddenly started buffering and no help from the technical people. Despite raising a ticket almost 2 weeks ago, they have completely ignored me. I have 2 LG TV's both of which are compatible and I have tried everything possible ie: unistalling and installing the app many times plus restarting the tv and router. I have high speed broadband and don't know what else to do. Very poor service/app......ill be leaving which is a shame as the programs are really good but unwatchable!!!

Not fit for purpose

This has got to be worst channel ever if you want to try and watch sports I tried to watch Gallagher rugby playoffs and I was given Australian rules football instead then the one I did get went blank so many times I gave up in the end.also the picture was blurry the sound scratchy it is totally unfit for purpose hence I will be leaving if you want sport don't go near it

I AM GETTING TIRED OF GETTING BILLED TWICE IN ONE MONTH AND YOU JUSTIFY IT BY SAYING YOU HAVE A 30 DAY CYCLE. I HAVE GOTTEN BILLED ON THE 1ST OF THE MONTH AND THE 31TH FOR MANY MANY MONTHS. AS FAR BACK AS FEBUARY OF 2023 I HAVE BEEN DOUBLE BILLED AND YOU ACT LIKE ITS NOTHING. I SIGNED UP TO PAY $5.29 A MONTH BUT IF ITS A MONTH THAT HAS 31 DAYS I PAY ANOTHER $5.29. SO I AM PAYING AND HAVE PAID $10.58 ON THOSE MONTHS AND ANOTHER $5.28 THE NEXT MONTH. NOW YOU TELL ME HOW THAT IS FAIR AND HOW YOU GET AWAY WITH IT? WHATS WRONG WITH A REGULAR ONCE A MONTH DATE......WHICH I THOUGHT I HAD . THIS HAS PROBABLY BEEN GOING ON SINCE I SIGNED UP WITH DISCOVERY PLUS. NOT ONLY IS THIS CHEATING BU IT HAS TO BE FRAUD OF SOME KIND. AND YOU ARE TRYING TO MAKE ME JUMP THROUGH HOOPS TO PROVE IT. JUST LOOK AT MY ACCOUNT AND YOU CAN SEE ALL THE MONTHS YOU GOT ME TWICE.

Bully their way into being the only cycling broadcaster and then offer a shocking service!!!
Is it because its the woman's Vuelta that it is ok not to have commentary or it it just incompetence?
I think is is really sad that there is no alternative cos I would be gone in am instant!!

They are not worth money. String people along. Waiting for Street Outlaws no prep season 6. Guess they do that so people will continue to pay for. I will not subscribe to them again. I have been paying for the for 5 years. Not now.

Constant App Crashes

Honestly, this one is a tough review to write. I've used six or seven streaming services over the last four years, and this one is by far the worst. I'm paying for ad supported service, which I knew going in, so I'm not surprised that there are ads. What I am surprised by, is how poorly the ads are incorporated into the shows, and how frequently they seem to crash the entire app.

For one thing, the quality of the ad targeting is abysmally shoddy. For a company that has access to all of my tracking, location, search history, pageviews, and everything else they could possibly want to know about me, the ads that I get have no relation to my life at all. They're for services completely unavailable in my area, for health problems nobody in my home suffers from, and for age groups that my household completely lacks.

Secondly, the propensity of the service to want to run an ad that covers/surrounds the streaming content is far more invasive than simply cutting to commercial would be, and is incredibly poorly managed. It would be one thing if the content was shrunk down into the tiny window of the onscreen ad, but it never does that. Instead, there's a huge ad that covers most of the screen, blocking 80% of the content, including the captions. Why? And the constant request to interact with the ad is hilarious - mostly because when you actually do interact with an ad, the entire stream crashes.

Third, the entire app crashes so frequently that I may as well not be using it at all. Every third or fourth ad-break, an ad completely fails to load and the whole thing has to be relaunched. And if that wasn't bad enough, at least a third of the time, two minutes worth of ads will run flawlessly, and the service will crash in the attempt to go back to the content that was being watched at the time, forcing you to reload and watch two more minutes of ads.

And lastly, the episode forwarding/binging feature frequently cuts off several minutes of an episode to load the next one, leaving you completely in the dark as to what happened at the end of the previous episode. No wonder every show in America has to have five or six recaps per episode.

They have pour customer service an no consideration for their subscribers. I was billed twice in 1mnth it was just that I couldn't get a refund not even for just one of them

They have pour customer service I was told I can get a refund for the subscription I canceled because it billed me right before I canceled it and then I get an email from someone else on the support team that was having work on my refund that tells me their terms and services don't do refunds for Discovery Plus now normally I wouldn't be so mad because it's just a $9.71 but that was my last $10 that I had somebody send me that day that for diapers for my daughter cuz I'm broke due till I live on disability and yet they build me while I was on the way to the store to get diapers to the mass surprise I wasn't allowed to get diapers and now I'm being told I can't get it refund and my daughter don't have diapers this is the worst most sh****** most disrespectful non courteous not heartfelt or sincere consideration, subscription that I have ever used in my life honestly Discovery plus isn't worth $9.71 they charge because there's nothing but f****** rerun documentaries or crimes show documentaries and stuff like that; which I'm usually into all that but I can watch that s*** on Netflix I can watch that s*** on Hulu I can watch that s*** on YouTube TV which are all much better subscription apps than Discovery Plus and I want Discovery plus to know that Angela Starnes is who left this review for them because they know that everything I've stated in this message is not a lie and it's all true. I told them I was going to leave a bad review and I'm still going to go over Ms Tracy's head (customer support person) I'm hopefully going to be able to reach out to her manager about getting my refund and if I don't get it then it just goes to show that nobody would want to use this app or subscribe to it with the way I was treated and neglected to be helped and told I couldn't get a refund my opinion this is not a subscription you want to have because they do not help out people who truly just can't afford it oh and not to mention my bill was due on the 19th but they build me again on the 27th so how f***** up as that. I was billed twice and still can't get a refund doesn't make sense to me this is the worst and most pathetic app subscription ever. And I'm not just writing this review because I'm pi**ed off or upset I'm writing it because I truly feel hurt neglected and not considered in my situation when they were the ones in the wrong I'm truly a very easy going person and it takes a lot to get me to vent or write something bad or speak bad on something that being said everyone else have a blessed day and hopefully you don't want to answer the same situation I ran into

Pretty much unable to actual watch anything!

I would give them zero stars if allowed, I basically need to try to login in maybe 40 times before I finally manage to! I keep getting the same error message on three different devices, and the customer service have been zero help. So I suggest you do not subscribe as I've wasted a months subscription!

Nothing special anymore

When the platform first came out, there were no commercials and I could watch my shows early on the day that they came out. Not only did they suddenly have such a hike in pricing, there is no benefit because the shows come on at the same time as they air. This is now wasted and I don’t think I will stay a subscriber, I don’t see the benefits. I had to step down a tier to having commercials now. Yuck.

Why lie?

They are literally lying to people that they offer gift cards to use for their streaming service when if fact they simply do not exist. Why lie? Just take this page off your website. Not that hard. If trust pilot allowed and valued honest reviews I would be able to put the web link for proof.
