Very trouble service
Very trouble service. I can't even record anything cause it would either skip or not even record at all cause of loss of signal and it would say watch in low raise and I had called to make an appointment to get it fixed and I had made the appointment today 8am to 12pm and nobody even showed up then I get a call saying that we won't be able to make it and I would have to reschedule this is the 3rd time this has happened to me. This company is very unsatisfying.
Mala experiencia, ladrones legales
Son unos LADRONES, me mudé a un apartamento, instalé linea DIRECTV en mi televisión, nunca funcionó y no consumí absolutamente nada. Me volví a mudar y me llaman 4 meses despues de las oficinas de DIRECTV a cobrarbe más de 400.000 mil pesos por "deudas", que era obligatorio o la deuda se iba a un proceso juridico, muy decepcionado, que verguenza de prestación de servicios, no le recomiendo a absolutamente un alma el instalarse DIRECTV.
Totally useless customer service
I was paying them monthly insurance fees to get my equipment covered. One of my boxes was not working so I called and they came and replaced it under the insurance fees I pay. Later I found out that they had added 2 years of contract to my account. I contacted them and they acknowledge that that was a mistake. I asked them to remove it from my account. They said once they place a contract on an account it cannot be removed. I spoke to their supervisor who said the same thing. I requested them to send me an email or a text message or a letter to acknowledge that the contract was placed incorrectly and is null and void. They said they could not do that. They said they would note the account so in the future if I want to cancel I won't be charged for early termination. I then asked them to just cancel my account. Throughout this whole ordeal I have been on the phone for almost 2 hours. Once I got to there cancellation department they put me on hold for another 30 minutes just to tell me that the previous agent had forgotten to log out of my account and let the account is locked and that they could not do anything at that time, for me to call back. Horrible, deceiving, crooks. Had I not accidentally found out about the contract they put on my account., I would have been on the hook for 2 years of services. I will cancel my services with them forever one day or another and we'll find a complaint with FCC and department of consumer affairs.
unauthorized charges for packages
I had a terrible experience with DIRECTV due to unauthorized charges for packages I never requested. When I noticed the extra charges on , I immediately contacted customer service to dispute them. However, despite multiple calls, they refused to issue a refund, claiming the charges were valid—even though I never agreed to them.
This is completely unacceptable! Charging customers for services they did not request is deceptive and unethical. Be very careful with this company—they add charges without consent and refuse to take responsibility. I do not recommend DIRECTV to anyone looking for honest and transparent service.

I have been with this company for 8 years plus my bill has never ever been correct every month I have to call and argue with these people about my bill they see the problem and they will not fix it they have been ripping me off for years well I decided I was not going to take it anymore this is a new year I will not deal with direct cable ever ever again the people in their loyalty department customer service they are a bunch of rip off artists shut them down and yes the services do cut off when it rains the services cut out all the time and they want to charge you an arm and a leg for their services watch this company they are ripping the consumers off go with dish you might stand a better chance they all full of crap but don't go with direct two thumbs down for direct cable.

I was on the phone with customer service and I honestly thought it was a scammer because they were blatantly ignoring my actual issue and just focused on selling some other plan to me that I said five times that I have no interest in.

Worst customer service of any company I ever dealt with! Their CEO's should look at all the thousands of bad reviews and do something about it. If you dispute a charge even if you are right, their MO is to sell your bill and info to a Collection Agency. Once that is done your credit score will take a 100 point plus hit and there in nothing you can do about it. If you do not believe this google Direct TV and Collections. Lots of people have experienced the same as me. I have had 820+ credit scores for over 20 years. But due to a bogus charge that I proved was erroneous and my Credit Card company agreed, they did just that.

Keep loosing signal
Keep loosing signal. Have strong wifi in the house but television keeps loosing the signal and error message says streaming problems?? Just had installed 1/23/2025 and not happy with not being able to view television on our schedule because of the intermittent loss of programing on a daily basis since the installed. Am under a 2 year contract and once it is over, I will go elsewhere. I would not recommend DirecTV to anyone for any reason. This is my second time using them and will be last. If could give a MINUS 5 stars that would be too nice

Una estafa. Cargué para todo un mes (servicio prepago), y a los 20 días se acabó el saldo. Volví a cargar esos días que faltaron, nunca se acreditó. Hablé con el bot de WhatsApp, con Romina, Carla y Mindy, todos nombres falsos porque siempre te atiende un bot, y me pidieron los comprobantes de pago. Los mandé por mail como dijeron. Me dijeron que espere 48 horas y se acreditaba. No sucedió. Me dijeron que espere 7 días. No sólo que jamás se acreditó, sino que todo ese tiempo estuve sin programación. Llevo gastados cerca de 30 usd (en pesos argentinos) para no tener servicio, perder horas hablando con bots tratando de solucionar el problema, y nunca obtener respuesta. Nadie te atiende al número de teléfono, la página de MiDirecTV no funciona. Ni siquiera tienen domicilio legal en Argentina, por lo que iniciar acciones legales es difícil.
Antes de este inconveniente, me cambiaban al plan Plata u Oro sin mi autorización, que salen mucho más caros, y no podía bajarlos ni por el bot ni por teléfono. Un calvario contratar esta empresa. Preferible gastar más en datos móviles y mirar por Internet.
I cancelled direct tv today
I cancelled direct tv today. They were super high pressure. She even said she did not want cancellation to cause a divorce. What the 🤬kind of psychological 🐂 💩!!! She also said that I will get equipment instructions after Feb 28th just incase it causes problems at home.

Long time and Very Disappointed Customer
It started with requesting a system update. A technician said it needed to be done. I've been a customer for over 30 years and being told I'm on a 2-year contract is absolutely absurd! Next we received the box and I called a technician to get help setting it up and they had no clue. A technician came the next day and have to change so many things that the tech has no idea even though she had everything in front of her on what we already had. Technician that came to my house was Great. Technician on the phone needs a new job.

I ordered DirecTV streaming after a telephone call with one of the representatives. I had very good previous experience with DirecTV en three different countries (the one with the satellite dish). And based on that experience and a talk I had with a DirecTV’s representative who told me about that DirecTV offered me to watch all the Spanish La Liga and Champions league for $74.99/month. My surprise was that DirecTV only transmitted some of the games of the La Liga tournament. I asked specifically if DirecTV transmit all the 380 games of La Liga and the answer was "yes". 6 months after I decided to cancel the subscription, and surprisingly they charged me $340 as an early cancellation fee. There was a clause when I accepted the contract about this, but the DirecTV’s salesperson lie to me and did not mention the Early Cancellation fee of $20 per month for the 17 months. They do not mention it but they make sure it is written in small foot prints in an email. Additionally, the application needed to be restarted every week or so. I do not recommend DirecTV. Now I have got all the soccer I want to see for just $11/month. At the end I was charged not $340.00 but $384 without any explanation.
Directv Stream Beta Sports RIPOFF
Avoid Beta Sports stream package. You DO NOT get any local channels even if you are in their broadcast area. When contacted, they immediately tell you that you have to upgrade to "Choice" which is twice the price. It's basically a big corporate scam. Their interface "your remote" DOES NOT WORK on their stream like all of the other streaming services - even if your smart tv is new. THE BIGGEST BIG CORPORATE RIPOFF I'VE EVER ENCOUNTERED.
Wheres the movie, that's what we want not ads
What is wrong is this company is supposed to be about watching movies not ads. Nobody wants to see the ads that they post we want to watch a movie. No matter what movie you click on you have to watch not just one or two you don't want to watch but like 8 ads you don't want to watch by the time those are done you don't even feel like watching the movie. I will be getting rid of direct tv and I'm sure everyone else will too. If direct tv wants to put other company's and giving them what they want over the customers paying hard earned money wanting to watch movies then they will loose customers one after another, but I guess direct tv will still have the company's that post ads left.

If you are canceling DirecTV, make sure you get a ticket number or a number to verify your request. I canceled but had autopay, they pulled another payment and said they had no documentation that I had canceled. I spent over 40 minutes on the phone with this associate and she didn't put in my request. They will take your money... THEY CAN NOT BE TRUSTED!!
High cost, reducing packages, poor service
Direct TV messed up our automatic billing (our credit card company verified you ended wrong information) and shut off our TV - YOUR MISTAKE. You charged us late fees and other BS fees - DUE TO YOUR MISTAKE. We had to wait on the phone for over 8 minutes to talk to someone due to YOUR MISTAKE. When the represenratative said he would fix it, he said he would not send us any written communication to verify what he said.

The new customer interface is extremely difficult to navigate and so inefficient. I don’t know whose idea this was, but it certainly wasn’t something designed to help ease the use for customers. many more clicks to get to where you want too much navigation …. instead of improvement. It is reverse improvement
When you go to the library, you can see a recorded show and several episodes but you cannot click there to see the additional episodes and play one.
you have to go to another screen to do that so inefficient!!
No More Abuse
We have been Directv owners since their beginning. After 30 years, we will finally admit that the company is awful. It didn't start that way, we believe that when AT &T took over it went downhill fast. 1. Customer service is routed through India? 2. Our prices have gone up 72% in 9 months WITH a decrease in channels. 3. We asked for the smallest cheapest package as we are seniors on a fixed income-was given the case #, and after 3 months the price did not drop but increased! When we called and gave case #, the fellow from India said it didn't exist! He told us if we were new members, we could get that price but because we have been such long term members-NO.
