Extreme lack of service attitude. Avoid at all cost
This is a continuation of previous incident where I tried to order an accessory for my DeWalt thicknesser through Sydney Tools online. They happily took payment from me and where website promised the part in 48 - 72 hours. Three weeks later, they told me the part was not available at DeWalt and they had no information as to when.
Yesterday and today, I have been in touch with DeWalt to ask if they have the part now and if not, when they will have it. I explained the issue but I am not sure they understood what I was saying.
The person taking the call was unhelpful and hard to understand but told me to return an e-mail with an included form filled in. Something which I did but was then told that DeWalt doesn't sell to the public.
I repeated my question and stated that I was happy to order the part through a reseller but I needed to know if the part was available because I wasn't prepared to park my money with a reseller for another several weeks without any part.
All they kept saying was that they didn't deal with the public and were not prepared to give any information about what stock they had.
I find this an utter lack of service attitude and can only suggest to others to avoid DeWalt the best they can.
I for one will not do business with this company again and can only suggest they replace the person whom I corresponded with. She was no credit to DeWalt at all
