I registered with Curam since 2019.I…

I registered with Curam since 2019.I never had an issue with Curam Staff. They have been very supportive and professional. Ryanna, one of the staff who assisted and supported me few days ago has been lovely and understanding.

confidentiality issues and harm

I edited my previous review but had no response and so I’m writing an additional review to review based on curam’s response to a client review.

I noticed that Curam has never addressed any clients leaving reviews on trustpilot by a name that didn’t appear above the client’s review. So Curam, why have you done so in response to my review?

I also note that you address my personal assistant as a care professional when you also use the term personal assistant on the Curam platform. Why have you used a different term in your response that I did not use in my review?

Edit: Right so I see you're confirming that Curam engages in vindictiveness when clients complain.

At Curam our wonderful community of Care Professionals have a sector leading average of 10 years' experience, so we choose to call them Care Professionals, however the terms' carer, personal assistant and support worker can also be used.

Found it an easy platform to use

Found it an easy platform to use. On the 2 occasions I had a query it was solved quickly.
Found it easy to find someone for my mum.

Curam is not only liked by service…

Curam is not only liked by service users but also appreciated by the carers which they share with us - service users. The main reasons- efficiency speed and accuracy. We have recommended Curam to clients and care workers. Keep up the good work.

I've been registered about 2/3…

I've been registered about 2/3 years,applied for hundreds of vacancies posted. Qualified and very experienced, I haven't had one placement. I wondered even if it was all a scam, had anyone ever obtained a shift through them?, contact with past carers said the same?? I am completely bemused, every now and then, someone makes an enquiry, but that is as far as it has ever gone, I began to wonder were they actually inventing these enquiries, and sending them to me themselves, to massage the audits? Its so weird as I have had numerous assignments through Indeed and agencies I work for, infact I have made my living this way for a few years now, curiouser and curiouser??????

A good experience in a tricky situation

Finding a carer became a relatively straightforward experience and the quality of carers is very good. The site, however, is a little tricky to navigate and there were some bugs that complicated communication via the site.

Avoid

Very poor communication, dodgy practices, my account was removed without any notice, without any reason few months AFTER being fully approved. Company avoids clarification, no communication from them. They lied about past communication with me. Avoid.

Curam is the best company I’ve worked for

I find that Curam staff are very helpful, professional and knowledgeable. I have enjoyed my experience working with them. I would recommend Curam to anyone who is a self employed carer.

Disgusting customer services.

Contacted this company last year whilst looking after a private client of mine.

I left the client mid year, decided to request that they change my account from client to carer and they basically shut me doen without any care or respect.

I made a carer profile last year but due tk personal.circumstances at the time I decided not to pursue care, instead I decided to learn to drive.

Now I have the ability to drive I sent an email requesting that they reactivate my log in details.

Instead of being professional. They first asked if I had used a Curum Carer to work with the client I was working with last year.

Which wasnt what I asked! Instead of helping or assisting me with my query they were hoping for me to say Yes so they fould try and charge me or the client money for the taking of business.

So when I said no. To which is the truth, I left the client. So I have no idea what business was conducted after I left.

Getting back to my actual question which was to reinstate my log in so I could be seen by other clients, not to mention the client I was working with previously was not on their books. I only contacted them to try and find a resbite carer.

They had the cheek to simply just say No.

With out any explanation as to why. So rude.

Who does that, especially a care company thats basis should be care and empathy.

Id avoid dealing with admin customer services representatives that hide behind a computer. Who probably dont care about the client or carer. As if they did, they wouldnt be in an office belittling carers that actually do the hard work.

Disgusting people.

Dear Seh,

At Curam we take the safeguarding of both our clients and Care Professionals very seriously. Our records show that you signed up as a client in May 2023 to look for a Care Professional on behalf of your client and agreed with the Care Professional that you would pay them via bank transfer. Our T&C’s clearly state that all transactions must be paid through the Curam Platform. You then signed up on Curam and became an approved Care Professional in December 2023. Less than 24 hours later, you requested to delete your account, stating that you had changed your mind.

Curam reserves the right to keep your account closed. Unrecorded working arrangements are not only a safeguarding risk but go against the terms of the platform. Unfortunately, we do not feel that the platform is suited to you on this occasion.

As this review has been left under the name Suh, if any of this information doesn’t apply to you, please do contact our support team on complaintsandsuggestions@curam.io and we will investigate this further.

Lots of opportunities, but rare fruition.

There are lots of opportunities shown on the Curam page/app, but clients rarely respond, so it's difficult to get work.
Curam take a 15% fee, as well as charging the client more.
Curam claim they provide training and insurance, but I have private insurance and have never been able to access training through Curam.
I have been a member for around 4 years.

Hope you’re well. Curam provides free training to all approved Care Professionals through our training platform Access, we can see from our records that you completed a course last year. If you need assistance in accessing your training account please email us at carer@curam.io.

When you secure a client via Curam and create your invoice, you are automatically insured. Whilst being an approved Care Professional you have worked with 11 clients, therefore you will have been insured for all work carried out via Curam.

Excellent Service

The carer was punctual, friendly and very competent. It was so easy giving details of our requirements and getting a selection of carers to choose, with competencies and fees up front. The landlady of our accommodation said she had lost customers as they couldn't get carers so I have recommended Curam to her and she will help spread the word.

We found a lovely carer on the Curam…

We found a lovely carer on the Curam Care website. The website was easy to navigate and we were exceedingly fortunate with our choice of carer. On one occasion our carer was ill and unable to attend. The money we had paid was promptly refunded.

Peace of mind for you and your loved ones

I've used the Curam platform previously as a client and now for the last 16 months as a carer. So I've experience of both sides of the coin. Curam are continually updating and finding more use friendly ways to access the help we all need. I've never had any issues in both instances and found the site easy to navigate. Transactions and conversations are simple and trouble free. Being able to form a small network (micro team) is extremely helpful which helps you direct a client to a friendly face who may have the working hours that you can't fill.
I recommend using Curam for both ease and reassurance.

Good experience

I have been on Curam for 2 and abit years now I have had really great clients from the Curam site/App I like that there is an agreement set that you can also add to and invoicing is so easy. It's great to get free carers insurance and free NACAS membership so I don't mind paying the 15% back to Curam. My only gripes is that my payment is received 2 days after my shift and Curam making me feel like I'm being dishonest by always prying on my messages with clients and asking me questions other than that I love the services offered and believe its worth it!
