We used this company to set up a property trust with wills and POA register our circumstances changed and we contacted this company to inform and close our trust
From day 1 they failed to communicate they held up house sale they declined to allow sale then failed to follow up and release funds dealing with this company was worst idea ever and has impacted on my health and wellbeing they were so unprofessional and unhelpful

I have worked with CTT for almost 10 years now and my father, 10 years before that. I can't speak highly enough of the technical guidance of the company and in particular the Private Client Team. Bob Massey, Lucy Miles and Andrew Drakes are professional, loyal and trustworthy. All of my own family's Wills, Trust and Estate Planning is with CTT and having worked with them I have the utmost confidence that our affairs will be professionally managed with CTT's guidance. Spencer Tattam (Technical Director) is one of the most knowledgeable and one best technical minds I have worked with and is clear to see why the company is at the forefront of Estate Planning in the UK.

Absolutely appalling service. Took them 12 weeks to get out of the way off my property sale. Zero customer service. Their 'trust managers' have no understanding, just a script they are given and repeat endlessly. I would caution everyone to avoid doing business with this company and their sister organizations: Countrywide Conveyancing and Legacy Wills. Addendum: I removed CTT as trustee on their advice because they said they could not provide consent to the sale (which would take seconds) within a six-week timeframe. They advised that I exercise my settlors powers to remove them as trustees would enable the sale. (Though they deny it now, they recommended this as the 'quickest' route). What they didn’t say, or didn’t know, is how to remove the restriction from the land registry, which they put in place. Over time they gave contradictory recommendations about removing the restriction in the Land Registry, which was eventually done on advice from the Land Registry with no help from CTT. They were continually unhelpful and uncooperative which resulted in the loss of my sale. Their sole objective seems to be to deny responsibility, offer excuses and ultimately do nothing. So there is a simple question: why would anyone want them as a trustee for their trust? You can’t trust them!

The Estate Planning Team provides prompt and efficient service when responding to queries and advice requests. Their service for advising on existing legal documents, such as wills, is particularly good. I would recommend without hesitation.

Absolutely excellent experience of the conveyancing process at CTT Law Ltd. Emma Bolochowecki dealt with our case in a swift, seamless and professional manner. Communications were brilliant, with Emma really easy to get hold of for any queries. CTT Law presented no delays in our house sale and entirely took the stress out of the sale process.
Our property was also a probate matter and tied up in a family trust, this presented no complications for Emma who dealt with every step with ease and experience.

The use of the CTT Law app was really helpful as I always knew where we were up to. It made a process I was unfamiliar with really clear from start to finish.

Would certainly use CTT Law again.

A fantastic service provided when planning my Mum's Will and estate.
Michelle Abbott was superb throughout the process with her knowledge, advice and the preparation of all documentation. She was patient and answered all queries and questions raised and my Mum felt happy and confident with the service provided and was reassured that all her wishes have been met.

We wrote to Mr Massey, the CTT Group (not a company) Director, this February, to request all our documentation from his dealings with us, in his role as a founder of CTT Group and Countrywide Estate Planning (not a company). We received some of our formal documents but there was no response to the more general request. We have sacked him as an adviser.
This person is a leader in this organisation (not a company) who has day-to-day influence on how the organisation behaves towards its customers/clients. His “mantra” (sic) is “Let’s just exceed expectations of our clients in the services we offer”. He also claims he makes pensions grow – well ours’ withered.

They have fallen well short for us in so many respects that it is painful for us to think of them. He passes most of this off as a difference of attitude to risk, while not appreciating the gross failure to take the clients’ interests as paramount for a responsible adviser – whether for investments, tax avoidance or trusts, or anything for clients.

Please use your own careful judgement of this organisation by, eg, looking at the history of Mr Massey on the Companies House register, where his many many dealings become apparent. Save yourself the heartache and think about using a company / organisation not associated with these people. Don’t be fooled by the smokescreen that this is not about a specific company.

Just like to say that the service that we get from the Probate Dept is first class.
We work as a team which speeds up the process, reduces stress, whilst allowing us to achieve a good result for the client and ourselves.
This has proved to be very profitable to both ourselves and CW by getting new and additional business from the benefictaries.

It’s all about TRUST – isn’t it. Just as people trusted Charles Ponzi, Bernie Madoff and Elizabeth Holmes, we trusted Mr Massey of Countrywide (and many other companies). This was a big mistake which we are now regretting after many many years of deceptive practices, both in tax schemes and very high risk investments. You will need to decide whether to trust Mr Massey, or Countrywide, and his people. But I would advise you to just go elsewhere - much less stress. We are currently trusting that we will get our family’s documents back from safe-keeping. We will let you know how that goes.

I have had the pleasure of utilising the services and working with Countrywide since 2002, the probate department has always been pro-active in assisting clients through the trauma that follows the death of a loved one, by being able to take the stress away of completing forms when the executing the will and wishes of the deceased individual, sometimes this can be a long process, but the probate department is always open to questions and queries that clients will always have, making them aware that they are there to help, to see the process thought to a positive outcome.

These people know what they are doing! Excellent knowledge of probate laws and the revenues systems and processes. I have used Countrywide Probate team on a personal level and have also recommended my clients to handle their estates and they are always professional and diligent and my clients have always been very pleased with the service provided. Chad’s depth of knowledge has helped some of my clients avoid pitfall’s and complexities that they would not have had a clue about if they dealt with their own affairs. I would say if you have any concerns about dealing with these matters yourself, hand it over to the professionals and leave it to them.

Thank you to Michelle at the CTT Estate Planning team for the brilliant explanation of the technicalities around Will Trusts & the RNRB. You were so patient and really helped me to understand the enhanced planning we can provide to clients which I'm sure will help me identify further planning opportunities in the future. You demonstrated how the trusts provided by Countrywide Tax & Trust are a cut above those provided by others. Thank you again for your help.
