My husband and I called Sally one evening when my daughter was 6 days old and we had just been sent home from hospital - I was exhausted and overwhelmed because my pre-term baby had jaundice and just wasn’t taking anywhere near enough breastmilk. Sally was with us within 30 minutes and spent an hour and a half patiently assisting me and my daughter, explaining her unique needs because of her early birth, and calming all of us down when I had completely spiraled. We worked with Sally over several sessions for a few weeks, following a plan that got my daughter’s weight up and the jaundice dealt with. We contacted Sally again at three months when my daughter’s weight really dropped, and I had serious supply issues. Sally was able to identify a tongue and lip tie - she helped us find the support we desperately needed, and a plan for feeding in the meantime. Sally’s help was a gamechanger for our family. I don’t know what we would have done, or how long we would have struggled, without her expertise and kind support from those first days on. I can’t recommend Sally strongly enough.

I sought help from Sally for breastfeeding issues I encountered with my six month old after he was hospitalized with RSV Pneumonia and our breastfeeding relationship was suffering due to poor stamina on his part as he is still recovering and my supply had suffered. I was always hesitant to seek help from a lactation consultant because I has heard so many stories of consultants being dismissive of mothers' concerns and their refusal to recognize legitimate problems that are not simply solved by, "Just try harder / Just put the baby to the breast more". Sally listened to our entire story, confirmed and validated my concerns and gave me a detailed care plan and follow-up time frame. We experienced very rapid improvement and I feel safe saying that Sally's help saved our breastfeeding journey.

I attended Sally's Breastfeeding Skills for Professionals class and it was very informative, thorough and helpful in my work supporting new mothers. I learned a lot that I did not already know. She is very knowledgeable and I refer many of my clients to her when they are experiencing difficulties with feeding.

Sally’s work as lactation consultant is VITAL to all new families. I refer all my Birth and Pospartum clients to her when needed. Denmark and the greater khb area is lucky to have her!

Sally truly gets to know her clients. She is passionate about her work and she is committed to helping mothers AND fathers feed their new babies. She is a gift and a joy to be around!
