Booking was fine, but voyage is months away. Ask me for a review after I travel

Nice and easy to book straight forward good service

Doggy company. They rescheduled my booking which I requested to cancel it. They agreed for full refund in 5 working days but they never did. I called and emailed these doggy people several times but kept promising me to refund me in a few days !
Finally I dispute my money to my credit card.

The web site is ok to navigate but I needed to make a change and their charges are extortionate

Tried to book but if you drive commercial vehicle (eg. small van) then they allow you to fill out all the paperwork BEFORE they inform you they can't take your booking and advise you to book direct with the ferry company. I wasn't carrying anything other than fishing tackle and camping equipment in my small van, done this trip 20+ times in the same van, 1st and last time I use Compare Ferries

DO NOT USE! I would never use compare ferries again and advice anyone else the same if you want to enjoy their travel. They will fail to tell you if the ferry times have changed so me and family were sat and the docks with no ferry only to be told it went 3 hours earlier. We were made to feel at fault and they also blamed Brittany ferries. They were no help when we were stuck in France no where to stay, work meetings the next day and children without child care sorted in England. They falsely said we will be compensated it’s now 7 months later. No one will answer the phones or if they do they say they won’t deal with it on the phone you have to email which they never respond to. I have dealt with Brittany ferries direct now (who were extremely professional and helpful) who proved straight away they notified compare ferries on the change of ferry times. Mistakes can happen but they will not take responsibility for it or even respond to any contact, the customer service is shocking. Just go direct through the ferry company to have a much more professional experience.

Well, I’m not too sure what to think about this compare ferries My friend booked Crossing for the 26th of December. He has recently tried to change the booking. What a nightmare the van that he previously booked has broken down. And they’re saying that the other van we have They will not take it on the ferry because it’s too big but see this year we took the big van on the same ferry DFDS I have spoke to quite a few people who work for compare ferries And they all say different things they said the price would be to change the date, but they said they couldn’t put the big van up the ferry because of the size of it and the price would be to change the date would be 85 but that was yesterday The 7th of December today 8th dec they are going to charge £118 To change the date from the 26th to the 27th, but the time remains the same. I think they are Conning people for their tried to make more money out of people If I’m being honest, I find them unreasonable and the staff don’t listen. I’m quite confused with it all now, but I can assure you I will not be booking with compare ferries ever again. Please don’t book with this company They seem to charge what they like, and every day is a different price, joke and money grabbers, too

I would like to share something that happen to me a few weeks ago!

While I made a booking from this company website, something weird happen I never receive the confirmation email. The payment of 129£ was on pending for more than 2 weeks. I thought that the payment was canceled and waited to take back the money.
Yesterday I was surprised to see that the payment was debited. So I called customer service. One of the team members was very awful and made me I was wrong while I'm 100% sure that I never received the email.
2 team members called me to ask the same questions and the same answers. They won't refund me and I never receive the confirmation mail.

There is something wrong with their website!!! Better to go directly to the ferries website. You can read on the bottom of the website on terms and conditions that "the company will not be responsible for the proper performance of the individual travel services. And in case of problems you need to contact the relevant service provider."
This is an intermediary and money pit.
