Premium Collectibles Studio Is Not Trustworthy
I have been a passionate collector for years and it is rare that I feel compelled to write a review like this. But what happened with Premium Collectibles Studio was so disappointing, frustrating, and frankly unacceptable that I feel obligated to warn others.
In June 2024 I placed a preorder with Premium Collectibles Studio for a statue that was still in development. I understood that it would not be completed or shipped until early 2025. That is normal in this hobby. I paid a 145 dollar deposit and signed up for a payment plan that included seven monthly installments. Everything seemed straightforward at the time.
Fast forward to October 2024 when I made my first major installment payment of 600 dollars. This payment was done manually at the direction of their own customer service rep Beth because their website was experiencing issues. That was not ideal, but I trusted the process. Premium Collectibles Studio has a name in the collectibles community after all.
Unfortunately, that trust was completely misplaced.
Due to a serious medical issue in my family, I reached out in April 2025 to cancel the order and request a refund. At that point, no product had been delivered, no tracking number had ever been sent, and I had not even received an update on the item’s progress. I had paid hundreds of dollars and received absolutely nothing in return. Not even reliable communication.
Premium Collectibles Studio responded by telling me that they do not offer refunds, and that my money would instead be converted into store credit, minus a restocking fee. This policy was never disclosed at the time I placed the order. In fact, using the Internet Archive, I confirmed that their cancellation policy did not exist on their website until more than a month after my order was placed. That means they are applying new policies to older purchases after the fact, which is incredibly shady.
Even more frustrating, their rep explicitly confirmed in writing that nothing had shipped. So to recap they took my money, did not send me a product, admitted that nothing was shipped, and still refused to refund me.
This entire transaction took place on Premium Collectibles Studio's own website not through Sideshow Collectibles. Sideshow had no part in the transaction itself. However, given how Premium Collectibles Studio is currently treating customers, I think Sideshow should seriously reevaluate their relationship with this company. If Sideshow continues to promote or distribute Premium Collectibles Studio products, it sends a message that this kind of behavior is acceptable. It is not.
This whole situation has felt like being strung along by a company that has zero respect for its customers. They seem to rely on the idea that collectors will be patient and will not challenge their decisions, but that does not make their behavior acceptable.
If you are considering ordering from Premium Collectibles Studio, I strongly urge you to reconsider. This is not just about a delay or a production hiccup. This is about a company that kept a large amount of money for a product they never shipped and refused to make things right. That is not poor service. That is just bad business.
I have dealt with delays before. I have been patient through long production timelines. But never have I been treated this way by any collectibles company. At the very least, I expected basic professionalism, transparency, and some kind of ethical accountability. Instead, I received conflicting answers, vague policies, and what felt like rules being made up on the fly.
To fellow collectors do your research before you spend your hard earned money here. Premium Collectibles Studio may look like a legitimate operation on the surface, but the way they handle cancellations, customer service, and refund requests is anything but trustworthy.
I sincerely hope this review saves someone else from going through what I did.
