Our guide, Donal, was always touching base with all members of the group, making sure the walks, meals and accommodations were satisfactory to everyone. He even stepped in when small snafus occurred. He was very informative as to planned activities, historical background and native flora and fauna. He even suggested activities for those who were extending their stay.
The hotels, restaurants, and planned activities were varied and of great interest to most of the group most of the time.
All in all, a great time was had by all!

Our Guides, staying in the famous old hotels and the others in our group.

We loved our trip with Classic a Journeys to Iceland. We had Atli as our guide and he was amazing. We saw waterfalls, hiked in the most beautiful parks, took a zodiac boat to see the icebergs and went glacier hiking. Every detail was perfect and we fell in love with this vast and beautiful country. Thanks for this wonderful trip! Our family can’t wait for the next CJ adventure!

Terrific guides, wonderful hotels, interesting hikes and tours

We had the most amazing time in Iceland. It was the perfect combination of activities and rest. The hotels were better than 5 star. Comfortable beds, incredible restaurants and incredibly attentive service. Atli took such great care of us that it felt like we were traveling with a friend rather than a guide. We loved the glacier hike, the horseback riding, the waterfalls, learning about Iceland's history, people and culture. I can't say enough wonderful things about our trip. We will definitely book again with Classic Journeys!

Hotels are beyond first class and the guides are the best ever.

Fabulous itinerary, amazing accommodations, super guide!

Excellent guide and great accommodations.

Atli made the trip a huge success. Friendly, approachable, accommodating, professional, patient, and extremely knowledgeable, he is your biggest asset by far.

The small group experience was fantastic with our guide being very knowledgeable and easy to ask questions and advice. We were able to add a visit to Oak Island and other special scenic routes. The whale watching was over the top with breaching and whale fin slapping. We loved it and the weather was perfect.

Please see Paul’s review on your portal. We did it together.
Thanks

Many reasons, but our tour guide, Francesca Bob was fantasic. She was thoughtful of each of us, taking into account our strengths and weakness'.
Of course, the scenery was very beautiful.
Our meals were great, as well.

Our trip to Glacier Natl Park was a wonderful experience! The hikes took us to many waterfalls, lakes, and so much amazing scenery. Our guides were knowledgeable about the area including wildlife, plants and history. Our main guide and driver, Francesca, was a gem. She was always thoughtful of our needs and kept us well informed of the days activities including any unforeseen changes due to trail closings. We really had the best time!

Had a great visit to Glacier National Park , lots of hiking to see the lakes and waterfalls the food was great too, our guide was very good she made sure everyone was happy. Glenn C

This was a very mellow and relaxing week with a great local guide and a well-planned itinerary. Nova Scotia is beautiful. Good walks. Comfy Victorian mansions converted to B&Bs. Good restaurants. Fun driver. Highly recommend.

Our guide (Francesca) provided a unique perspective into the local life and everything was well organized. We had a wonderful experience on this tour.

Our walking tour of Portugal was simply
amazing. It was very well organized and each day brought an interesting walk and event. What made it so special was our wonderful guide, Susana. She has a wealth of knowledge and lore about the country and made it all very enjoyable.

The tour was well organized and gave us a real feel for the area including its history and its uniqueness. The hikes were very scenic and the experiences, such as the olive oil tasting at an olive oil producer and the visit to a Masseria to learn how they make cheese and then get to help prepare our dinner, were so special. The accommodations were lovely and our guide was really terrific. He was knowledgeable and passionate about the area and that added so much to the tour.
The food and wine of the region was also a highlight.

1. Advertise the hikes more realistically. Everyone besides me and my father were over 70 and not very capable nor knowledgeable about these hikes since they were written as “walks” on the itinerary.
2. Try to fit more time at the hotels into the itinerary. As much as we don’t want to be at the hotels into but rather seeing Sardinia, the hotels were all very cool and I wish I got to explore them more. Additionally, all the days are very full and the sun/heat takes a toll so more rest time would have been nice.
3. We do not need to spend as much time in some places, such as the Sheppards hut, like we did. Additionally, sometimes the amount of time we did wandering around towns numerous times or before a dinner could have been spent better, like more time at the hotels or earlier start to travel.
4. Allow us to have more dinners where we can pick what we eat. I did not love going to dinner each night to be stuffed when I really didn’t want to but felt like we had no option but to be polite.

Luciano, our guide, was absolutely amazing! Could not have been more helpful, positive, or knowledgeable.
