Jude in the Guildford store was wonderful with my son and super quick and helpful which made a traditionally arduous errand actually enjoyable for both of us!

I recently bought a pair of school shoes for my child from Clarks in August, and unfortunately, they developed a fault sooner than expected. When I brought the issue to the Guildford store, I was pleasantly surprised by how smoothly and professionally everything was handled, thanks to Lauren. She was attentive, understanding, and went above and beyond to resolve the situation quickly. It made what could have been a stressful experience feel seamless. I truly appreciated her excellent customer service, and I left as a very happy customer. Thank you, Clarks, and special thanks to Lauren for her exceptional help!

We saw Jude at the Guildford Store to get school shoes for my daughter who has had her leg in plaster for 3 months -so has not worn shoes on both feet for a while! He was so knowledgeable and helpful, kept going until he was happy with the fit. I asked for some shoe polish and he recommended a different one that he said was better and went to get it for me. He was very well trained and really knew what he was talking about. It was a really positive experience. Thanks!

Shoes are substantial which is a bonus for me as hopefully they will last better.

Sales team was unable to give a consistent accurate measurement for my daughter’s feet across two branches. At the first shop, I was bemused by the apparent almost total lack of styles available on display or otherwise in size 3.5 for school shoes and was unable to find anything suitable. The first assistant measured her feet and suggested she would need a size 3.5, whereas later that same day a different member of staff measured my child’s feet again and was adamant they were still 2.5 so wouldn’t try larger than a size 3. We left empty-handed, I researched the styles available at Clarks online because they were not all represented on the shop floor and ordered 4 pairs (2 different styles) to my home in sizes 3.5 and 4 in the hope of finding something my daughter would feel comfortable in and wear to school. Meanwhile, I took her to our other local Clarks where the assistant measured her feet and insisted she should not try higher than a size 3. She put the shoes on and said they were too tight and would not try the larger size because she was put off the style by feeling the bar too tight on her foot. I had tried to ask for a size 3.5 in the first place, but the staff member would not consider it. Subsequently the home delivery arrived in time for school and luckily my daughter found the 3.5 in that same style to be comfortable. Therefore, I was yet again not impressed with the range or service from not only our nearest branch but the first one I mentioned which was surprisingly lacking in availability and knowledge regarding older girls’ school footwear. Disappointing and only continuing to give Clarks my custom due to lack of competition for good quality shoes. The previous time we were advised at the Woking branch we were sold shoes which lasted about 5-6 weeks only and were not given a refund or exchange. The staff in store were helpful regarding placing orders online to be delivered to store, evidently.

Very helpful and considerate assistant at the Guildford store. Buying shoes for my daughter Jude S went the extra mile to hunt around for the right wellies. Great stuff.

We had a school shoe appointment on a very busy day at Guildford yesterday. The assistant we saw was wonderful - I wish I could remember her name but she had curly hair and glasses and did an excellent job finding shoes for my daughter. She was helpful and did the whole thing in a very friendly way when by that point in the day I expect everyone was exhausted and never wanted to see a school shoe again in their life! Thank you
