Great service Easy entrance

We spent 5 wonderful days in New York City and had an amazing time with our kids. Unfortunately, our experience at River Place Garage on the last day completely ruined the ending of our trip.

We made a reservation and actually left about 2 hours earlier than our reserved time. However, because we entered just 5 minutes before the reservation start time, we were charged an extra $14 when picking up the car.

There was no clear notice or warning about any early entry fee. What made it worse was that the person picking up the car had already tipped the staff, only to be told afterward to go to the counter and pay more.

The staff at the counter were quite rude and seemed only focused on collecting the extra charge, without any effort to explain or help.

It’s very frustrating that they charge extra for entering 5 minutes early, yet provide no consideration or adjustment for leaving 2 hours early. This felt extremely unfair and left a very negative final impression on an otherwise great trip.

As a parking facility used by many travelers, this kind of experience doesn’t just affect one transaction—it can leave a lasting negative impression of New York City itself. That’s very disappointing.

I would strongly recommend others to be cautious when parking here.

Terrible experience. I booked an online reservation that had an entry time of 930-959. I arrived promptly at 930 and waited on the ramp inside the garage for over 30 minutes because they only had 1 attendant working. When we finally parked it was 10:07. When I went to pick up my car the attendant refused to give me my keys until I paid an additional 10 dollar fee because we arrived late. I explained we were on time but the delay was 100% caused by the attendant. They refused to listen and would not give me my keys until I paid the fee. Absolute robbery. I would never park here again. I got charged for the incompetency of the employees.

So easy and economical to reserve online. Easy in-out and kind employees.

The service was great 👍🏾!! I was able to reserve my spot easily online. The staff was very accommodating and friendly At this particular location. I would definitely go there again.

We were in town for Bike MS. This garage was the perfect location, A very short walk to Pier 76. Our Car was easy to drop off and pick up. Upon arrival the attendant tried to get more money out of us than the pre paid $35 reservation. But when we picked up the car it was a different attendant, and he did not charge us extra. I would’ve given five stars if they didn’t try to suddenly jack up the price.

Buyers beware. Bait and switch pricing. I was told the city parking website price that I prepaid for a few hours before arrival was good when I pulled in to the garage and my official website paid reservation was scanned, however when going to retrieve my vehicle I was forced to pay an additional $11 due to the official website “being wrong price” or they would not release my vehicle.

Parking made easy in the city, what more can you ask for

The website need to be in real time with the parking lot.

I have been parking here for many years because it is close to my work, and my biggest issue is that all most of the attendants do not speak English. Its impossible to communicate if there is a problem. No one answers the phone at your office. And there is rarely a manager available. VERY FRUSTRATING
