Received card after about 3-4 weeks. Fairly easy to do the application. Just a bit fiddly getting the photo in right position for it to scan.

Absolutely appalling service, sent them everything they wanted photo, birth certificate, marriage certificate my referee and I don't know how many emails I've had off them, I've been waiting for my card now over 30 days and I really don't know when in going to get it as they don't answer my question! I'm 67 years old, British citizen, lived here all my life, got a national insurance no...what more do they want, I've been treated like a criminal....disgusting service!!!

What a scam! So they make you pay upfront before you even get your documents signed and if you struggle to get them signed like I have as my son's teacher is ill they won't give you a refund! I paid 30 pound for the fast track about 3 weeks ago it was ment to take 2 days!! Still fighting them about the refund!!

Do not buy they are absolute scammers so I paid for ID, did not get reply so I claim an refund got my refund & then they took £15 from my PayPal account don not buy!

My ID card arrived within 36 hours of applying.
Be patient while applying because it has to be thorough, so that there are no margins for error, but it doesn't time out/expire while (taking time) completing it.
CC gets 10/10 from me. Money & time well spent. 👍

Avoid this company.
I applied for a card and paid extra for it to be fast tracked. The automated system accepted all my documentation then placed my order on hold. It sat on hold for 24 hours before I was contacted and, when I was contacted, they asked for documentation I didn't have. I told them this, waited another day and was asked the same question again.
I asked for a refund as I'd paid for the urgent delivery and the delays had been caused by their slow responses and the fact that they ignored what I actually wrote in my Emails and sent generic responses (I'm guessing to "meet" their defined SLAs).
They have denied me a refund despite not delivering what I paid for and have essentially stolen my money.

Shambolic service. Money taken upfront.
Verification process is awkward.
Verification via passport finally accepted, but no card delivered. No email communications, but after waiting, logged in to the site to discover that we had to start the process again!
No explanation and no apology.
Gave up and requested refund but met with hard nosed commercial attitude and denied.
Don’t be fooled by their charity status, not for profit just means there’s no profit left after they have paid themselves handsomely for a poor service.
Subsequently learning that many venues don’t even recognise the card!
Avoid.

Absolute shambles - took money very quickly applied had my social worker as a referree - denied
Passport photo denied even though same photo was used on HMRC no issues claimed it wasnt a neutral background it was a PhotoMe Booth - Background was white
Paid for express three days later still in process now they cant verify my (expired passport) with a picture of me on their system
The only reason I am getting this ID is because i dont have any and i really thought it would be a quicker process

Refused to continue with my application. Refused to accept my evidence when signing up for a card. It's been 2 months now and no progress. They have refused 5 times to give me my £35 back. NEVER EVER use this disgusting horrible service. Will take your money and run.

Extremely bad customer service and no reply to complaints. I applied for my urgent card 30 days ago and I still have not had it due to their inability to reply to emails, their lack of continuity due to multiple staff dealing with one case and information not being shared. Their ignorance despite proof of evidence and their seeming joy to drag things out to make things difficult for you. As stated I made a complaint but that was ignored also! Absolute mess of an organisation!
Following your reply...you say the cost covers the verification. The verification was the whole problem! Your staff ignored numerous emails that contained proof of verified details of identity and denied receipt of these, despite proof of receipt which delayed the process significantly! Each email from myself took at least 3 days before I received a reply.... This was supposed to be an Urgent application!! It took you 33 days to process this and no apologies from your staff just attitude in their emails.

Paid for urgent application - £35, which is a week's grocery shopping for my household.
2 days later, text message: "we've paused your application. Check your email for details of what to do next" -no email. 2 days on from the text (and 4 days from their receipt of my money), still no email.
Their attitude is "Oh, but it's so easy to apply online using a driving licence or passport! There's SO MANY referee options you can use!" - If people HAD driving licences or passports, they wouldn't need to waste their money with these scammers! I'm medically banned from holding a driving licence, and I can't afford a passport application - especially since, like this bunch, they also take their considerable application fee as "non-refundable" (because admin is HARD, guys! Using a computer for all of 5mins is DEFINITELY expensive and stressful!!!) - in the case of a passport, I'm facing the same cost as 90% of my monthly bills combined just to apply - can't do it, especially as "professional referees" are thin on the ground once they realise they're expected to respond immediately to emails, or immediately answer unscheduled phone calls, while at work (and, in the case of passport applications, have to provide their own passport details...which understandably gives data security concerns.)
The UK is an absolute joke with its "must have ID that the government approves of, and agrees actually is ID, in order to GET ID." Birth certificate? Not ID. National Insurance number? Not ID. Disclosure and Barring Service Certificate? Not ID. Disabled person's bus pass, which HAS a photo, and is issued by a government body? Not ID (except Jersey believe it is, if you're arriving by ferry, and the UK government themselves say it's supposed to stand in for the driving licence you're banned from holding with certain disabilities...and the OAP bus pass IS accepted by the UK government as ID...)
Given that a rip-off fee-charging concern like this can't manage basic competence and actual provision of the "service" paid for, I don't hold out a lot of hope for the government managing to competently handle their plans for free compulsory ID... (and,if that comes through, can we all claim back money we've wasted with scammers like CitizenCard, or applying for passports when we're in no position to afford to travel abroad?)
CitizenCard - you haven't actually DONE any "processing" that would merit £18-35 until you've actually provided someone with a card. Opening an envelope, or reading a webpage, does NOT cost that much.
The UK government are determined to go after particular groups of British citizens - at this point, having photo ID they nominally accept isn't about "something fun to go clubbing with that you're not worried if you lose!" (which is basically CitizenCard's marketing shtick) - it's about literal, bare-bones SAFETY. It's about human rights. It's about being able to risk leaving your house.
But to them? All of that's just a reason for the moolah to roll in.
This country is a joke, and it's become that way because of companies like this.

My Son is unable to hold a driving license for medical reasons so this seemed like the perfect substitute. I didn’t want him to lose his passport so I paid for the faster service and it went through without any problems and we had it by the end of the week. Fantastic and would recommend

Scam artist say there a non profit organisation but won’t return a refund for a card I haven’t received. I haven’t had a single email back I couldn’t provide a reference and currently have no ID so I asked for a refund as I can’t pass the steps required to obtain this form of ID… DO NOT USE THIS

Wish I had read these reviews previously! I got a citizen card a few years ago and needed to renew it. The process was fast and simple and I paid extra to have it delivered within 3 days. I then got a message to say my photo hadn’t been accepted, I explained that I already have a card with that photo and didn’t get a reply for ages so I arranged alternative ID and asked for a refund. I have never had such rude customer service before! They refused to refund saying it wasn’t their fault, when it clearly is since I already have a card with that photo and didn’t make any changes I simply renewed the card. I paid to have a card in three days and it’s been a month now with only two email replies from them. Planning to take this further and contact my bank mak
