Where to start...Probably one of the worst customer service experiences of my life. bought a car in december, on the day of (supposed) delivery i got a message 1 hour before it was supposed to take place saying they had found a power fault on my car. these vehicles clearly are not checked to the standard they claim to be before they are sold. ok these things happen i guess......next delivery date, 2 weeks. so i'm left without a car for 2 full weeks over christmas. fantastic.
i finally get the car 2.5 weeks after my initial delivery date and paying 11k for it. car was in good condition visually. but thats about where it ends. first week of driving i noticed it was extremely slow pulling off (its an auto). literally a 1-3 second pause before the car starts moving from a stopped position. ok maybe its just because petrol auto's are like this, i carried on driving it. 1 month in i then start getting a power error on the dash intermittently, it went away so i just thought a gremlin in the system so i never reported it. 3-4 months after driving this started happening far more frequently, and then other power related and sensor related errors started popping up on the dash, a quick online search pointed to a very common BPGA fault on the 3008 cars, fairly easy fix. i reported it to customer services who sent a mobile repair tech out to me as they couldnt get me in a garage for a full month! any request for a courtesy car was completely denied, repair tech comes out, i tell him about the BPGA, he refused to acknowledge this initially and said its the battery, plonks a new battery in and disappears. same fault returns when i got to my car at the end of my work shift. rang customer services again who had a word with the mobile tech who then admitted it could only be the BPGA causing the issues after ruling out the battery, still couldnt get me in a garage any sooner and still wouldnt give me a courtesy car, ok i thought, fingers cross the car carries on working until i get get it in the garage. 1 week later, car completely packs in , relay stuck closed in the BPGA drained it overnight. rang customer services again, they sent out the RAC for some reason who was confused as to why he was sent as all he could do was jump my car off to get the car working again until the very next night for it to drain again. more calls to customer services who i then gave 1 final chance to repair so long as i got a courtesy car which they clearly did not want to do. i then had no option but to return the vehicle which they begrudingly accepted after reciting the consumer rights act 2015. its now been 2 more weeks since then and they have only just got the return booked in for recovery, im still expecting another 5-10 working days before motonovo get their funds back so i can purchase another car from a more reputable dealership (which i already have lined up). i have now been without a car for nigh on 5 weeks which is completely unaccepted. the only person that was of any help at all at cinch was ollie from the customer experience team who did his best.
i would recommend NEVER EVER buying a car from cinch, the vehicles are not checked before selling them and customer services post purchase is nearly none existent.

I couldn’t update new information on website. The place was not signposted big enough to know main entrance and no instructions when outside gate. We drove round three times to look for main gate? More alarmingly there was no windscreen wash which caused problems. Thought that would have been basic check??

Enquired about car over the telephone, explaining I was nearby to a car that I'd like to view. The guy on the phone advised this was possible and that someone would call us back shortly. 4 days later and we are still waiting.. Needless to say we've gone elsewhere

The website, selecting, ordering, and finance went fine. On the day of collection, we were allowed to look around the car, while the sales person had the keys. The car looked fine turned off. Cinch apparently did a service only the week before collection, a MOT last month and there are advertisements all over the Cinch website about checks before sales, including tyres, just not cosmetic.
We drive off, two warning lights appear on the drive home. One for drive train malfunction, one for tyre pressure. Every time the drive train malfunction message appears, the car went into limp mode.
Did what any other person would do and tried to call Cinch. Warranty team not there at weekends. Tried different option combinations, could only get through to one person working the collection / delivery phone line that is supposed to be for rearranging, or time updates. This person from Cinch told us the best they could do was leave a note for the warranty team to look at it over the weekend. Told us we could ring RAC if we broke down. No offer of hire car, no telling us to turn back around, no offer to ring RAC themselves. Tried asking how would RAC even know that Cinch is covering it, and was told every car is covered.
Eventually made it home, and checked the tyre pressure. The tyres were at 29,29.5,30 and 39.5. For a car that should be 35/32 balanced. Four different tyre brands used. Someone clearly has not checked the tyres, or the correct tyre pressure during the service check or before the car was moved out to the collection bays.
Filled in the problem with your car form online, tried to fill in a form for the tyres as it is not a cosmetic issue, the second online form would not send through. Wrote a complaint email. No response from Cinch on day one or day two. On day three we get an email from the complaints team saying it is being passed onto the relevant team. No other contact. Day four, no contact, we have to contact Cinch ourselves.
Cinch aftercare team said the best they could do was a mobile mechanic for four days time, including day of phone call. Could not book into a garage for at least two weeks. Asked for permission to take to a different garage or mechanic, got declined as apparently can only be the one brand of garage. They did offer to ring RAC out during this phone call, however the car is already at home, and it would not be possible to fix on the driveway, with how serious these issues are. We would still have needed the mobile mechanic and garage after this, which would have meant weeks of backwards and forwards. No offer of a hire car to get through to the home mechanic appointment. We know from the warning lights that this is not an on the drive way fix, so that it would just go from mobile mechanic to waiting for the garage. We said we could not do this as this would take us over the 14 days, no offer to extend or pause the 14 days. The person on the phone agreed that if we could not wait the weeks for the garage, then the best option was to return the car. Got put through to the return team, to arrange the return.
This is a car that was apparently serviced, and MOT only last month. There was no shock from the Cinch members of staff we spoke to, no concern, no rush to fix things, no apology. The returns team even said, 'but we did say we could get a mobile mechanic out on Friday' as if having a car sat on the driveway for a week without an alternative is okay from the very first drive after purchase.
The car is now booked for collection under the 14 days, we will be claiming back from Cinch the insurance cancellation costs, the fuel etc. Of course, they also can't collect today, because of the limp mode, but it was okay for your staff for us to drive it in limp mode on the way home.
My recommendation, make sure you do a physical test drive. Two, do not collect on a weekend or Bank Holiday, as the staff won't be around to help. Three, if you still want to purchase from Cinch don't expect miracles if things go wrong. The nonchalant attitude from the staff as if the person buying has not already gone through looking at cars, checking MOT's, buying insurance, sorting TAX, using fuel and time to get to the collection point. If someone didn't need a car for weeks, they wouldn't buy one.
Finally, I would question their version of service checks and before collection / delivery checks and probably take your own tyre pressure checker with you. Especially as the last service and last MOT on this car were done by Cinch.
5 stars for a lovely looking driveway decoration, nothing wrong with the car and model, minus would be given if possible for the muck around, you don't expect a car to be unsafe from the journey home.

Great service, right up until the point where you have collected your car. They then don't want to know, takes days to respond to emails. I've told them to collect the car within their 14 days period, but so far to no avail.

I love my new car but the over all experience didn’t go according to plan.
I was expecting my vehicle to be ready to pick up at the depot but it wasn’t delivered on time so I had to wait longer but Cinch did get it delivered to me free of charge.

Two minor points that cinch could improve to make this a truly 5 star experience: 1) allow people to select more than one car to view. 2) be more up front about the additional warranties they suggest purchasing - the extended warranty brings the overall warranty up to industry standard and should be built into the price of the car, and the rest is just trickle pricing for less essential things. Overall though it's a great place to buy a good quality used car really simply and quickly, with helpful staff.

I cannot fault my visit here, from the moment I arrived I was approached and assisted on where I needed to park and to make my way to the reception for further assistance, once I entered the reception I was called over by a friendly gentleman on hand to help me through the part exchange of my vehicle, did all the checks and showed me around my vehicle I was purchasing, I was feeling a little sad due to not wanting to part exchange my vehicle, due to circumstances out of my control but this particular gentleman helped me feel more positive about the vehicle I was taking home (I am so sorry I cannot remember your name) the car was immaculate and well looked after and I drove the car 3 hours home with no problems. Thank you very much for a professional, friendly and efficient handover.
