I believe there are pianos upstairs, but we never got beyond the forest of guitars. In fact four of us ended up having quite a lengthy jam session. Extremely friendly shop with a huge range of guitars and basses, especially good for those on a budget and not wanting to spend thousands on the likes of Fender or Gibson.

The sustain pedal on the 3-pedal unit on the Chase stand for my Casio keyboard stopped working. I called them and was advised to send an email with full details, which I did.
Amrik from Chase phoned me, clarified what was required and emailed an invoice that I paid by bank transfer. The part arrived promptly, beautifully and securely packed and is now fitted and working correctly.
Excellent service; courteous, helpful and efficient.

Walked aimlessly around Oldham street when this music shop caught our eye, we went in and were immediately greeted by Amrik who was very charismatic and the sweetest guy. He made us feel very welcome and we had a lovely chat which left us smiling and talking about how nice he was.
We will be back again! <3

Stumbled upon this shop again after first buying from there in the early 1980s. Had a lovely chat about the changing musical trends with Amrik who was such a friendly guy. More guitars than keyboards this time but a brilliant looking shop with a great atmosphere. Congratulations on going so long.

Stumbling upon this treasure trove in Manchester was magical. I was greeted by the the most kind hearted, gentle soul I have ever met. Amrik knew exactly what I needed (even when I wasn’t sure) and there I began my harmonica playing journey. I knew I had to go back for my second and Amrik not only remembered me but was once again able to get me my next harmonica. Thank you Amrik, I will never visit another music shop for anything ever again.

This is the email I sent to Chase Direct, 17 Jan, '23:
"Many thanks for the safe and rapid delivery of my Kawai CN-29 digital piano, which was delivered to me this evening.
Can you please pass on my thanks to your delivery driver, who went out of his way to get the piano to me this evening, as promised, despite driving conditions being truly horrible - with icy roads and falling snow - and then he was most apologetic for being about 15 minutes late, when I wouldn't have blamed him if he'd abandoned the journey altogether, and delivered on another day!
Throughout, he was polite, courteous and 100% professional, and took no end of trouble to get the piano safely across the icy surface of the car park and into the lobby of my flat, putting it exactly where I wanted it. I do hope he had a safe journey back to Manchester.
This, I would add, matches up with the very helpful attitude of your staff when I telephoned about the piano and its delivery.
You can be sure that if anyone asks me about buying a musical instrument, I will have no hesitation in fully recommending Chase Direct. The attitude of all your staff towards customer service has been outstanding, from start to finish.

The best and only music shop you need in Manchester.

I genuinely could not tell you after almost 5+ years of living in the centre of Manchester any other music shop other than Chase music, because you just don't need to!

The owners there are incredibly helpful, willing to take the time to talk you through all the products in detail and everything in there is really well priced.

I've gone in there with a few audio issues I needed some kit for and came out with exactly what I needed to. I've never needed to take anything back to Chase for a return or because its broken, everything I've gotten has been great quality.

How I'm going to pick an acoustic guitar when I next go in, I have no idea. The range of guitars and basses they have is huge for size of the shop! Great prices for all of them too.

I ordered a piano online and Chase Direct were by far the cheapest I could find for the model I wanted. I hadn't heard of them before and they didn't show up in Google shopping searches and so was a little apprehensive about ordering from them, however I've received my order today after only 2 days in perfect working order and from my experience fully deserve their high rating on Trustpilot.

Stumbled across this lovely shop with my boyfriend. Was greeted with friendly, knowledgeable staff who were very accommodating and directed me to the exact sheet music I was looking for. Would highly recommend. Good to meet Amrik.

Chase Direct were very helpful and attentive. They had a wide range of stock and helped me choose a christmas present for my dad. I even got a free key ring with my purchase! Great shop and excellent service!

I wandered into this store with my friend upon seeing the impressive guitar selection and cozy store setting from the outside. What we found was a great store with a kind shop owner who encouraged us to try the guitars and helped us navigate the variety of selection the store had. I would recommend this store to anyone who is looking to buy or just try some instruments, and will definitely be going back myself.

Chase music is a fantastic place and is a complete legend. I first came here about 40 years ago and it still offers friendly, helpful service with a personal touch. Great selection of guitars and other instruments with something for everyone. Amrik is a genuine, lovely guy who has been at the heart of this incredible shop. Worth going to Manchester just to visit.
