Absolute Dog Sh!te of an app!!!!
Rarely saves where you are ready for next time, freezes, poor video quality, excessive adverts. Such a shame as some good dramas on there. Needs some serious money spending on it channel 5!!!!

What a complete load of rubbish Channel 5 streaming is. It has never improved in all the years I have been using it. Get a grip Five and be like BBC1, BBC2, ITV and Channel Four which do not have the buffering problem. Absolutely useless.

Perhaps it would be easier to say what went right, the answer would be very little. Trying to access this channel is a work of art and how it trys your patience, watching that little wheel go rund and round consumes ages, then if or when the requested prog. finally starts it stops, pauses starts again, and then heck we are into another advert break, even they are repeats, this I the worst on the small screen. And the volume, our normal viewing is about 11 or 12, but on 5 we have to have raise it to anything up to 18 even 20 then it goes from low to loud without any help from us, god 5 has a way of its own and it is not good. I swear that little wheel is watched longer
than the content available. There is some very good content to watch but so frustrating trying to get it to play. 5 should be ashamed of this set up.

Absolute crap. Too many adverts, buffering too much and I live near a train track do having subtitles on is a must during the summer when the windows are open. Its pot luck if you can turn them on with this App. Worst app ever.

Commonwealth Games coverage has been appalling. Please give it back to the BBC so that they can do a better job!

Channel 5, bless their corporate hearts, sent out a statement: "The Commonwealth Games is one of the biggest events on the sporting calendar, and we're thrilled to be on the ground in Glasgow, bringing viewers live coverage of the Opening Ceremony, plus daily highlights hosted by the brilliant Jeanette Kwakye." Brilliant! Warner Bros. Discovery. manages to deliver comprehensive coverage for just five pounds, so you'd think a company as flush as Paramount would be falling over themselves to give us endless hours of free viewing access. Instead, BBC Alba steps up with over four hours daily while C5 provides just minutes of pathetic, insufficient content. It's infuriating, frankly.

While daily recaps offer a taste of the action, they cannot mirror those vivid, singing streams that once shone from ITV and Eurosport’s light. This year, Warner Bros. presents an unparalleled live coverage experience–a premium offering available through a monthly subscription exceeding £30, a significant difference from Eurosport's previous sub-£10 offering. S4C has provided 7 live stage broadcasts, a valuable addition but a mere fraction of the complete event. The full and lovely vision, we hope to see, a joy-drenched glimpse of what shall ever be.

Channel 5, they started back in 1997, and right out of the gate, they were showing live sport from America. In the years that stretched before them, they held a formidable collection. MLB, NFL, NHL, NBA, FIFA, UEFA, MotoGP, Serie A – just a small bite of this smorgasbord of quality sport. Never matching ITV’s free-to-air brilliance, yet a bounty of riches, nonetheless. Channel Five's bright flame grew dim, its fervour lost along the path of years. Now cradled in CBS Sports' embrace, no heart across the salt-sprayed sea could bear this hollow stain.

Cricket and American Football, I'll grant them that, get live coverage. But the first gridiron game each week? Ruined by some childish nonsense. And next year? Paramount will show Champions League football in this realm—rest assured, live games shall not grace Channel 5. Yet another meagre provision, merely to stoke the embers of our discontent. This feast of crumbs weighs upon my weary soul, where fragments never seem to form a whole. Seeking solace from hunger's cruel chains, a desperate plea to banish my pains, i hail the loaf, unbroken, pure, and whole, a solace for my fractured, weeping soul.

And the Tour de France in 2027? Channel 5 will give us live coverage of the UK stages, sure. But the rest of the event? Nightly highlights. Nightly! I remember 2014, the Tour de France rolling onto our shores, thousands of us out there greeting it. And now? No live stages in English on our screens, just a pathetically small amount in 2027. Cycling will be a forgotten sport for millions. Channel 5? Honestly, I've mostly forgotten them, only really tuning in for the cricket and American football. ITV, take a bow. Channel 5, hang your head in absolute shame.

Great programmes but so frustrating trying to watch them. The app is constantly freezing or not working at all.

Why should I have to keep signing in just because they update their software. Wouldn't be so bad if they didn't incorrectly claim the password is wrong and then not send a reset email immediately.

What a crap app. Today's technology, a very poor performance. My can do better. Not loading up, freezing, constantly getting stopping. Just rubbish.

So frustrating im watching on channel 5 app.... wot a pain having to restart nearly every episode because it freezes, there are some really good programs to watch but you just wouldn't be bothered to restart in the middle of an episode because it doesn't reset at where you left off. Reading the other negative reviews its not a connection issue its just terrible service on the channel 5 company

Absolute garbage. Freezes after adverts and then you have to rewind a few seconds. Buffers after restarting for a few seconds and audio breaks up. Been happening now for well over a year. They are obviously not bothered about providing a good service.

They stuffed up (that's the polite version) the Commonwealth Games Opening Ceremony timings (and the advert breaks), cutting off the King's speech part way through. No catch up seemingly either.
Had to resort to C5+1 as last gasp.
What a dreadful incompetent outfit. Sadly British TV, which used to be the last bastion of outstanding quality, is all like this now.
I worked as a broadcast engineer in TV for nearly 36 years and frankly am embarrassed by it all now.

Watching Crow Girl on channel 5, three of us watching and not one of us can decipher what the actors are saying. The mumbling is dreadful. Tried watching two episodes. Gave up won’t watch rest of series

The coverage of the TourDeFrance is not a scratch on ITV4's. If you plan for the future of free-to-air highlights to remain on your channel you need to improve. At the least, correctly pronouncing the names of riders such as Evenepoel, Pogacar, et al would be an improvemet. The commentary is significantly below par. In fact, it is more enjoyable to watch on mute. You really need to up your game on this one.

A very, very disappointing experience. I’ve now watched a few highlights shows of the Tour de France. I thought the first few were poor with a frankly ridiculous number of long advertising breaks, but hoped the show would settle in to more like what C4 offered for last many years. Not so! Disjointed and confusing editing, unintelligible commentary, and an absolute plague of long, repetitive advertising. C5 have taken a fabulous C4 product and ruined the whole experience. The service hangs, crashes and is generally highly frustrating to watch. I’m done with you C5, never again. I’ve been watching the TDF for decades but I’d rather not see it at all than endure the debacle of the Channel 5 rubbish.

The host (Rebecca) would be great on a shopping channel. Not right for the Tour de France :(

The TdF coverage on C5 is truely awful. Does that pair of designer trousers presenting the show know anything about cycling? Awful. Please give it back to C4

Tour de France.
All you had to do was copy the successful format of channel 4. This show is verging on boring and I’m a MASSIVE Tour Fan. I am grateful we can still access the highlights on accessible TV but I hear from friends that the paid version is just the same uninspiring format. It feels like the presenters have never sat on a bike and are reading from a script. I am really sorry to say that I cannot understand the Irish presenter. He sounds like the dull boring priest on Father Ted. Come on guys you can do better.
