Looks like C5 has some programs worth watching but forcing me through up to 10 ads (taking up to 3-4 minutes) at a time every 7-10 minutes has totally put me off trying their stuff.

I was enjoying watching the Tour of Spain cycling higjlights (Vuelta) on Channel 5. Despite the advertised schedule this evening they were showing snooker for morons.

Great dramas but the constant adds drive me nuts so don’t watch often

It’s not even one star. In this day and age why can an app be so bad and why haven’t Chanel 5 addressed the issue? It’s dreadful and virtually unusable.

Too often it crashes after the adverts making you start watching the adverts again instead of returning you to were it crashed.

Absolutely shocking amount of advertising every few minutes. I won't be watching this channel again. Sort out your advertising repetitiveness.

Very, very frustrating.

If I could give it 0 starts I would. The app freezes, skips, the picture quality is poor. The ads have the volume turned up to "shrieking". With all the bad reviews, when will you sort it?

Why does this review not allow zero stars?
The app is rubbish, everybody knows this. Why not take this Chanel off the air?

Well after complaining about Channel 5's coverage of the Commonwealth Games - I found that S4C were showing the full live games - welsh commentary of course but who needs commentary anyway.

Get your IT sorted out for pity’s sake. The app won’t cast from my iPhone to my LG smart TV and the app on the TV won’t activate via signing in from the code on the TV screen as requested.

Google AI suggests it’s pretty much garbage too.

Total waste of time, I’m deleting the app off both devices, plenty of other free channels with apps / casting that works on my devices (and yes, I’ve got the correct settings for allowing network access etc).

The content is good. There are a number of channel 5 shows that I like to watch. However, the app is awful and this is the last streaming app I choose. The advert breaks are frequent and long. Following the breaks, the picture is fuzzy for about 10-20 secs, then suddenly clarifies. Sometimes at the end of the break the picture goes black and there is no way to get the programme back without a restart. That means watching the ads all over again and risking that it will simply go black again. The subtitles have to be reinstated for every new episode. Just a rubbish app and as a result I watch it rarely.

I do like a great deal of the dramas on offer. However, the advertising drives me to distraction! Watched 3 parts of the the 1 series of madam Secretary, then it had to go ! Give an opinion for paid none advertising viewing ! 🙄

I often switch to the My5 app to watch live programs in HD instead of rubbish 576i but the app is constantly losing it's live tv function. As we're constantly being pushed to use apps you need to sort it out.

I have become increasingly disappointed with Channel 5’s programming. Far too many of its dramas feel repetitive, predictable and formulaic to me, with similar premises, familiar faces and storylines that seem to follow the same template.

Programmes such as The Hardacres, The Teacher, The Madame Blanc Mysteries, The Holiday, The Catch, The Fortune, The Feud and The Game simply haven’t convinced me that Channel 5’s drama strategy is delivering enough originality or variety. High viewing figures don’t automatically mean that a programme is high quality, and personally I find much of the output slow, overly sentimental or predictable.

I was particularly disappointed by the decision to move away from Neighbours. It offered something genuinely different in the schedule, including younger characters, long-running storytelling and LGBTQ+ representation. I don’t feel Channel 5 has adequately replaced what it brought to the channel.

I would also like to see substantially greater diversity across Channel 5’s drama output, including more prominent LGBTQ+ characters and a broader range of people in leading roles.

The Channel 5 streaming service is another major frustration. In my experience, buffering and reliability problems have persisted for years and the service still doesn’t feel good enough compared with other streaming platforms.

Channel 5 needs greater originality, more varied and inclusive casting and storytelling, and a significantly better streaming experience. At the moment, there is very little on the channel that makes me want to watch.

More of the same rubbish too many ads and to many repeated programs across the 5 platform

Got to be THE worst streaming service on earth. Horrendous quality, pixelating all the time, ridiculous amounts of adverts. Whoever is responsible for this crap should be ashamed of themselves. Utter crap

Lose the will to watch anything too many adverts.

Trying to watch programme on streaming. Wished I’ve never started. Feels like equal amounts of advertising and trails for other channel programmes as the series I’m trying to watch. I will never come back.

What happened to the Commonwealth games ,after the opening day there was supposed to be 11 days of fantastic events , all i managed to ever see when switching on was adverts after adverts break , did any body actually win a medal at these games , channel 5 ! If its not worth showing on free tv then lets not bother at all.
