I would not even give one star. Ignoring emails and calls since I returned car as faulty. Manager does not call back. This started in the 9th of March the day after we bought car as it was faulty. They said we had to return car at our own expense as it was undriveable. Did a formal rejection and now onto Final letter before court action. Looked at by two alternative garages where we found more problems!! Hardly any oil or coolant. Evidence of accident. Passed it on MOT put no indicator!! HORRENDOUS. TAKING TO COURT AS THEY WONT GIVE US FEEDBACK, REASONING OR A REFUND!

Booked a test drive turned up at correct time and place to be told it was sold. Quick enough to phone me and book the test drive but couldn’t be bothered to let me know it had been sold! Shocking customer service. You’ve lost a sale as will not be coming back

They didn’t cover anything and I couldn’t give the car back. Over £800 worth of work the car needed which I had to cover myself - only shortly after buying the car! Absolutely terrible customer service and support.

Sales people take clearly all nice, but after sales care is a disgrace. £16k down the toilet - I would never buy a car form them ever again !

I bought Car In 21/11/2025 immediately when I Reach home I Realise The Car Was Having a Fault loud crackling engine noise, I reported Immediately to the dealer shop and Lodged A Complaint, firstly the staff Was So Rude Expecially Sonny , he said I should “contact the warranty that’s Why were adviced to take one” , I said It’s Not even more than two days I took the car .

We paid £10k for a car bought from Carworld in Fengate Peterborough which broke down within a week. Having had it checked from the manufacturer, they've given us a long list of issues that is wrong with the car including £6k estimated cost to fix the issues. The car broke down in the middle of a roundabout which was highly embarrassing. It's a 21 plate car, so not an old car.
I wish we'd read these reviews before we parted with our hard earned money. Spoke to Monicka who sold us the vehicle she said she was doing us a goodwill by throwing in 2 free ev charging cables when these were checked by the manufacturer, there is a possible fault with both these cables.
The aftersales team are as useful as chocolate teapot and do not want to help at all. There are pointless team because there is no after sales care with this dealership, that really needs to be shut down because they continue to sell questionable cars and conning people. I'm now looking into legal advice against carworld
Car oil leak
Bought a car on the 19th of Sept.. a week later noticed lots and lots of oil on my driveway.
Took the car down to my local mechanic he produced a detailed reports of problems and things that aren't right.
Contacted carworld that day and brought the car back to them the next day.
They could not find any problems apart from one and they said they repaired it, I asked about the other faults they stated again nothing was found.
They still have my car ( three weeks so far ) they do not call back, you need to call them, when I asked for the manager nothing back no emails no comms.
Honestly do yourself a favour DO NOT buy a car from these clowns. Avoid them at all cost absolute shocking poor service and comms.

AVOID AVOID AVOID , if i could leave no stars i would, my son brought a car from here and being that it was his first car , he took all the extras out , the car looked great on the outside but within the first 28 days it came up with a fault and had a warning not to drive it , he had a mechanic out who saw the fault , then the RAC who also saw the fault , he returned the car to carworld for them to say there was no fault after the mechanic and RAC saw it , they then said they were going to send it to a Ford dealer, which apparently they did although when my son rang the Ford garage they had no details of the car there , carworld then said that even though the car went there for a diagnostic report that there would be no paper trail so they couldn't tell my son what was wrong , again alarm bells rang , my son has finance from his bank for the car and carworld have decided to ignore all correspondence from them and my son , he has been without his car now for weeks and is spending out on taxi's and buses to get him places when family can't help plus he is still paying for a car that he has not got , He is still paying for his insurance and tax for the car too , absolutely ridiculous , just wish he had read the reviews before he brought from this garage , and everytime he rings the garage they say you need to speak to the manager but guess what ......the manager is unavailable or is out , bruno and the staff were very helpful when he was buying the car but now there is a problem , no help at all !!

I bought a car from here in March 2025. Since getting the car home, I have had to replace all 4 tyres, the windscreen wipers, the air conditioning, and was told in May 2025 that the automatic gearbox needs replacing and the car is unfit to drive. Carworld have refused to act within the Consumer Rights Act 2015, refusing to look at the car and telling me I need to go through the RAC warranty. Under the advice of Citizens Advice, I have tried to exercise my final right to reject but they are even refusing this. Having sought legal advice from my insurance company, I have had to reluctantly give up fighting and am taking my car to a garage through my warranty because I just can’t deal with the stress of trying to communicate with Carworld any longer, nor go through the process of taking them to court.
None of the staff know what they are doing and have no understanding of the laws they are very clearly breaking. There is no complaints procedure, everything goes through one email address which they refuse to answer. I also think they blocked my number because they wouldn't answer the phone to me but would answer if I called from a family member’s phone. They are all fraudsters and it angers me so much that they have my money and are getting away with blatantly breaking the law and destroying so many lives for months/years at a time!!
I have a newborn baby who they have allowed me to drive around in this faulty car, and dealing with this company has hugely impacted on time spent with my child and my mental health. I am hoping I can get somewhere with the warranty but I just don’t want anybody else to go through the experience I, and seemingly countless others from reading other reviews, have been through!
I hope trading standards take all our reports seriously and close this disgusting company down asap!

I urge anyone to not use this company, i am one of hundreds that was sold a faulty car. Involve the finance company ASAP this is your saving grace... Carworld breach consumer rights act daily, the staff quite openly brag about not being ombudsman regulated. Believing this means they can get away with disgusting dismissive attitudes and cowboy repairs.
i had been the legal owner since 1st Feb but in total i had only had the vehicle for 7days. I rejected it after 24hours due to faults and no documentation for the car. I tried to speak to Carworld about this and they were all rude and unhelpful. There was never a manager on site, this is a legal requirement. Bruno, Patrick, Stephen, Dominque, Stuart, Monika. They purposely left me with no curtsey car in order to back me into a corner and intimidate me further with inconvenience.
Monika & Dominque both said well they are used cars. I told them to not gaslight me they are a duty of care to ensure a vehicle is fit for purpose.
Spoken with citizens advise, ombudsman finance company and dealer (before they started ignoring me) took me from 01 Feb to 15 May to get my finance payments back. Ombudsman was not impressed that i was still being expected to pay for a vehicle i was not in possession for.
Still awaiting the deposit back from the dealer of £198. Keep all communication, back up phone calls with emails to gain a full picture. Evidence is key.
I urge anyone please please avoid. This has impacted on my mental heath, my physical health and huge financial burden.

Disappointing Customer Service and Lack of Accountability
I recently purchased a car from CarWorld on 23 November (still under three months warranty), and unfortunately, the experience has been far from satisfactory. While the car seemed fine initially, I discovered that the GPS system did not work properly shortly after purchase. This was a key feature I relied upon, and its malfunction has been both inconvenient and disappointing.
I reached out to the dealership to address the issue, only to receive a dismissive response. They claimed that I needed to report the problem within the first month of ownership, despite the fact that no such requirement is mentioned in the documentation provided during the purchase. It feels as though this "policy" was introduced arbitrarily to avoid taking responsibility for a defect that should have been addressed.
Rather than offering any meaningful support, they stated that the GPS system does not impact the car's drivability or primary functionality, suggesting that it falls outside the scope of what they are willing to assist with. This completely disregards the fact that the GPS system was one of the selling points of the car and a feature I expected to work as advertised.
This experience has left me deeply dissatisfied with the level of customer service and accountability at CarWorld. It appears that once they make a sale, they are unwilling to stand by their product or address legitimate concerns.
I strongly advise potential buyers to be cautious when dealing with this dealership. Ensure you thoroughly test every feature of the car before purchase and be prepared for a lack of support if issues arise later.
I will be escalating this matter to the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) to ensure that this kind of behavior is properly scrutinized.

Family members car started going wrong shortly after purchasing from them yet they have sone nothing whatsoever to help.
The staff especially Dominique, (the manager when it suits her) have been arrogant and obnoxious each time we have tried to reach a solution They deny any wrong doing after selling us a car that it is unsafe to be on the roads.
Our car will cost £5000 to fix yet they will take no responsibility.
We are having to deal with this through our solicitor now which is something we neither want or should have to do.
We asked for a loan car so they could get this one sorted only to be told there was a ten week waiting list for a loan car. Not sure who knows they are going to need one that far advanced?!
Head office not particularly helpful. Still awaiting contact.

Part exchanged by vehicle on the 8/11/24, 2 months later on the 10/01/25 the engine light came on. Tried to sort this with Carworld and they told me it’s not their issue and to call RAC warranty. Long story short, my warranty wasn’t valid due to Carworld not passing information over.
Car was in the garage for 8 days before being told there is 10+ serious faults and the warranty isn’t valid as the car is 14,000 miles PAST service. Told their car is not safe to drive and they cannot help me. I called Carworld to see what they are gonna do about it to be told nothing as I did not take it to their garage. I then promptly drove the car back to the Carworld and asked for a manager, Dominique then told me no manager is in and they won’t help and to call after sales. I told her I had called them probably 5 times over the course of 8 days and 10 minutes before turning up there. She then walked away and I found out later she is the manager.
I tried to part exchange this car for another with Motorpoint and have been told no one will finance this because of the negative equity due to having it for so little time. We have been dealing with ‘Stef’ who changes if he is a manager or not depending how pissed off we are on the phone. He has been ‘trying’ to find the service paperwork for the car for 4 days to try and ‘help’ us with a repair. Informed him we do not want a repair we want to reject. Told him they have already refused to repair multiple times and we want to reject.
I have started a dispute with Blackhorse to reject is as faulty, reported to financial ombudsman, motor ombudsman, DVSA, trading standards. I have now started mediation before I progress to small claims court as I am without a car, missing work and feeling so let down and hopeless.
They are an unhelpful, rude and sexist company. AVOID AVOID AVOID!

I was assured of a one private owner with a full service history vehicle being ready to collect after one week as it needed to be valeted and have a full PD Inspection and service. To cut a long storey short on arrival it was not ready and after an hour turned up. After getting two discounts to do nothing other than pay the costs of damage to rear inner sill and B post and the reinstatement of the upper steering column to allow any adjustment in out or up and down and replace cut away plastic under the dash all being associated with its use and the fitting of the removed disability equipment. I still purchased this car and because i want it for a commercial use and have the wherewithal to deal with these matters and two other major items that i flagged up when we went deeper into other clearly known problems by Carworld these being a totally butchered Sunroof, Electric Blind and Very bad Leaking making it unusable in the rain. Then The airbag protecting the drivers legs has been removed and disconnected from the system which is according to MOT standards a failure and can only be reinstated by licenced Technicians. When all this was sent by way of very detailed letters and pictures to Carworld i received a total rebuttal of many ways to approach the settlement or return of this vehicle never in writing or by management but every time by different staff and faulty internal telephone systems!!!!! I consider myself fortunate as i will be able to recover a vehicle to a good standard with much hassle but i dread to think what a private purchaser with little or no knowledge of the hidden serious flaws that lye in wait coupled with a seemingly well rehearsed defence mechanism to have nothing to do with you once Carworld have been paid No matter how serious or defective the vehicle is so be warned get every purchase inspected professionally and After Sales Is in my opinion is non existent, Ruthless in intent to openly say they have dealt with two major faults so what do i expect them to do about other major and known faults that cant be seen until stripped down? Who Put an MOT on a car with a missing air bag? I have asked for the MOT with the Testers stamp but to this day have not had a reply Sorry Car World Sharp Practice For Faulty Goods. I will fix all items as i would not let you near any car of mine, Be warned everybody.

NIGHTMARE BEFORE XMAS!!! wouldn't wish this upon my worst enemies.
We almost escaped the grips of this monstrous establishment! After walking out when not agreeing on a price for our part exchange vehicle, we almost made it to our car, and then out runs the sales rep, all dramatics included 'We'll accept your offer!' Oh how I now wish she never came out running..
The first week with the vehicle tricked us into thinking we had made a good choice, apart from the fact the emergency wheel repair pump that was in the boot when we test drove it, and included on their vehicle ad, had mysteriously disappeared! I let it slip. But then the curtains started to fall, the honeymoon was over and the problems started to come. Firstly the car had decided to chuck its oil all over my drive, a quick look underneath revealed a waterfall of oil seeping from around the engine. Fully aware that this is not what a £17,000+ vehicle should be doing soon after purchase. I gave Carworld a ring. I was immediately told on the phone that the workshop was fully booked for 2 weeks and I was to go through the warranty as that's what they would do. (PS we bought a years warranty on top of the vehicle. What a waste of time that is). I came to my senses and remembered that I was well within my 30 days of purchase and tried to get Carwolrd to take the vehicle for repair and supply me with a courtesy vehicle. Again I was fobbed off and told there wasn't time and no courtesy vehicles available. I'd had enough, we decided to drive down to carworld and sort this in person with screaming kids in tow. Suddenly they were taking the car and a courtesy car appeared for us in the car park! A miracle (although barely road legal and falling to bits). We left them the vehicle and drove home.
2 weeks later my vehicle was ready for collection. We picked it up and drove a total of roughly 200m before the engine management light came on. We immediately turned around and took it back. They run a diagnostic on the vehicle and told me the egr filter needed replacing and this would take 3 hours but wouldnt be done until tomorrow. We went home and looked into our consumer rights even more, to which established we could reject the vehicle again now there is a new fault. We did so that evening and came the next day we rang to get this rejection sorted… to which Stephan said we are unlikely to get a refund and no managers were around to do this as this isn’t something the “aftercare” deal with. After we felt backed into a corner with no solution and accepted the 2nd repair in which they said wouldn’t be able to be done now for another day or 2 due to staff illnesses. We then looked up our rights in more depth and decided to reject the vehicle again later that night and advised them NOT TO REPAIR to which they acknowledged the email and said it was a serviceable item fault which isn’t worthy of a rejection. Next morning after more back and forth conflict about the rejection he made us aware that the repair had already been done and they hadn’t seen our email in time even though they acknowledged it the night before! So rejection was out the window. We felt we had no choice but to take the vehicle back again. It was all turning into mind games and deception.
We had the car back 1.5 days before (you guessed it) engine management light AGAIN. This time I was tired of their games. I took the car to an independent garage for diagnostics. The scanner reviewed 4 onboard faults with the most serious being camshaft position error, circuit fault! The mechanic made me aware of the possibilities of engine timing issues and stretched timing chain! The car was not safe to drive, which wasn't nice to hear when my wife, 3year old and 5 month old have been using daily.
Rejection email sent again and now the
LETTER BEFORE ACTION sent via post / email in which the dealer is not agreeing to the deadline stated, we’ve now pushed this back to 30 days. 7 days was perfectly reasonable to “internally assess” the vehicle there end when it takes independent garages a max of 20 minutes to discover the faults of the vehicle on these diagnostic tools.
I have 70K Instagram followers on my home/ lifestyle blog and has been a great platform to provide support through this situation. Considering my followers are all over the UK, in the past days of sharing the situation I already can count on 1 hand people that have messaged me from my area which are having/ had problems with a car from them… I just dread to think how many more people in the area and from the rest of the UK that are suffering in the same situation.
I’m a new mother, Im suffering with horrific post-partum depression and this has honestly pushed me to rock bottom. I’m on maternity leave with my 2nd baby and to know we have no car, using our children’s savings to get around whilst they delay our rights to refund is sickening.
After sales and sales experience
Started off well no pressure while looking. Found a car agreed to buy and collect when checked and valeted. The boot floor which covers the spare was missing we said it needed to be found and put in. All agreed.
Went to collect, it hadn’t been valeted, and there had been no attempt to find the part. The check over no idea? but now doubt it. It all went down hill from there. Team members blamed each other telling us the other was unprofessional. They refused to take the cost of the part which is £380 off the price of the car but promised they would order it and deliver it. Eight weeks later still no part. Constant excuses from different members. Non returned calls. A nightmare I wouldn’t recommend anyone there. While there we were not the only customer having an issue!

We brought a BMW x1 3 weeks ago. Started perfectly until it broke down on a busy road with my 3 kids in the back. Rang and asked if we could take it in guy said yes it needs to come here as only 8 days old and we have the RAC thing with them.
Husband turned it with them and sales manager was fuming. Shouting and hurling all sorts of abuse at my husband for embarrassing them by rocking up with a broke car.
Shouldn't have sold us a broken car then.
2 weeks later we still don't have the car back and they have our 13k cash still.
Absolute cowboys.
I'm fuming but can't do anything as it's in my husbands name and he doesn't have a back bone.
Avoid this place like the plague.
We've been told if we want to reject the car it'll take 3 weeks to get our money back.
So we will have another 3 weeks without a car and no money.
He also said and I quote "when they check the car they will make up scratches and dents so they don't have to give you all your money back"

Stay away from these guys
Stay away from these guys. Not trust worthy. Very quick and easy to buy a car but if you have any issues they'll take months fixing it and do 80+ miles joy rides as a "test " Not interested in going in detail as its extremely long. But car was sold unfit to be on the road. They had my car for a total of a whole. MONTH. And there are still problems mechanically after they claimed to have fixed it. I had to get finance company involved and now in contact with a laywer as they badly scratched my car in two locations and refuse to pay for the damage repair, and conveniently when waiting for the photos to "download" the locations where they scratched my car was cut off from the photos.
Trust a stranger for once in your life. Stay away or you'll regret it. Alot of potentially fake reviews on google. They stand out like a sore thumb.
They deleted their trustpilot account or something and remade it as there was a heap of terrible experiences. Regarding carworld Peterborough.
