In order to get your bargain carpet, Carpet Monster has an unusual (illegal?) requirement that you must consent to having your email address shared with 'trusted third parties' before you can complete the sale. In my greed to save the £20 difference another website was offering, I ticked yes (when I ordinarily would untick this box.) As soon as I completed the sale, my inbox was absolutely flooded with spam phishing emails claiming my various microsoft, google, instagram accounts had been hacked, that my computer was flooded with viruses, with each email included a link to 'protect your computer now'. Some were convincing and it felt like a coordinated attack. I wasn't receiving anything like this before my purchase and haven't given my email address to any new websites in this same window.

This is 30+ emails a day in the inbox from hidden email addresses so I can't send them to spam - it has rendered this email address almost unusable. This was over a month ago and I am still getting the emails now. I didn't review until the carpet was fitted to ensure the carpet itself was ok. The carpet was indeed fine - was it worth it? No, I wish I had spent the extra 20 quid to save the hassle. Carpet Monster are making up the difference by selling your details to phishers.

I would urge anyone who is thinking of buying from this company to think again. Read the customer reviews so you know just what sort of company you are dealing with

Visited instore with a very tight budget to have the upstairs of my house carpeted. I was greeted by Shane, he was so polite and listened my needs before throughly going through my options with me. He made the whole process very easy. Mark visited my home and took all my measurements making the whole process even easier. I would highly recommend them to anyone in need but on a budget. Fitters came 2 days after seeing Shane and i am so happy with my carpet! Definitely will use them again when the time comes! 😊

Appalling non existent customer service. Take your money quick enough but don’t want to know as soon as you raise an issue. The cushion flooring I bought had indentation and holes one month after I bought it. I sent photos to the company but they weren’t interested and tried to say it’s because I have a dog. I checked before I purchased it and no where on their site did it say it wasn’t suitable for pets. They have since withdrawn the product but refuse to give me my money back. I’m still waiting for a call from the director but he seems as uninterested in customer service as the manager and shop staff.

Use a larger reputable company as you will only be disappointed with both the product quality and total lack of the customer service

I rang and spoke to amy a lovely young lady She told me she would call me back the next day to discuss if they had the flooring I wanted ebony panel Exactly on time she came back to me and told me they did have it amy then came to our home the same day to measure what we needed and she was friendly smiley and a beautiful young lady She went above and beyond when she was measuring my stairs she heard me on the landline and it was someone pretending to be from the bank Something of which I didn’t know Amy told me that I would be safer to hang up and call the bank back on the normal number and she was right. Not only was she a pleasant helpful sweetheart she gave me the best price for my flooring.
I was quoted twice as much from another carpet place Amy told me she would keep me updated with one of my flooring will arrive at the The location and I didn’t think that she would but she called me today to say my floor had arrived in less than a week My floor has been measured ordered delivered and is waiting for me to confirm when I need itAbsolutely amazed, and my wife is very impressedThank you amy we can’t wait for you to come over and see the finished floor once it’s been fitted

Absolute waste of time..... Do not waste your money, time or patience on this company. After paying for living room and kitchen flooring begining of July after 2 weeks we had not heard anything so had to chase them up to find out what was going on. Should have seen the red flag at this point. We were given a fitting date 2 weeks later. As per agreement we stripped all out original flooring out prior to fitting date and removed the whole of our downstairs belongings into the garden the night before ready fitting. After having had no word on what time they were arriving on the day and it being almost 1pm I call and ask where the fitter is, to be told he had been Mia for 2 days prior and no one could get hold of him so he most likely wasn't turning up. As you can imagine I'm furious as not one person bothered to think about letting me know to save me having to empty the whole downstairs of the house. They promised a fitter would be with me today a week later and low and behold at around 11am the day of fitting attempt number 2 the fitters van broke down and he won't make it. At this point I've lost my mind and basically told them to shove it. I'm not interested in dealing with such a shoddy company. I wish I had come on here first to read the reviews. STAY Away from carpet monster at all costs!

Exceptional customer service from Angela! We ordered some carpet which was not the colour we expected. It turned out that this was not Carpet Monster's fault as it seems the manufacturer supplied us with the wrong sample. Even though Carpet Monster was not at fault, Angela did all she could to investigate the problem and help. She's a lovely person and she made what could have been a frustrating experience very pleasant. I would not hesitate to use Carpet Monster again. Many thanks Angela!

We recently used Carpet Monster due to a bad experience with a previous company. We were struggling to find a perfect match with our current carpet but Shane and Mark at the Colchester branch couldn’t have been more helpful. From start to finish our experience was great and they even managed to source the same colour and carpet brand!!

Had a fantastic experience in your Colchester store with one of your workers Shane, you could tell he took the upmost pride in his work taking him time to find the best and affordable deals for us. This company is awful. I paid for a vinyl and delivery. They took the payment 3 weeks ago and I haven't heard anything from them in that time. I sent them an email, no response. I used their online message service and someone left a voicemail saying they had only just got it in stock and did I still want it. Of course I still want it, I've paid for it and am emailing you to see when it's going to be delivered. Every time I've tried to phone them today, it rings for ages and then their line is so crackly I can't hear a thing they're saying. Useless.

Great service from start to finish, Mark who came out to measure up and price rooms was very polite and professional, carpet was ordered and ready within a few days and they worked around us for day and time to lay which was really great for us, the carpet fitters, Steve and the young lad that was with him was also very polite and friendly, in both rooms carpet is laid to a professional standard and very impressed with them, thank you Carpet Monster for a very smooth process from the beginning. Will be using again.

The ordering process was very good and the in store team were very helpful. Unfortunately that’s where the good points end.

We ordered two carpets for different rooms. The carpets ordered should have been identical. On day of fitting the fitter started in the 1st room and all was great. He moved onto the second room and on completion we realised the carpets were completely different colours.

We’re a week on and no resolution has been reached. Carpet Monster are referring me to their T&Cs, and are refusing to replace the carpet. They have offered £50 compensation and now increased that to £100 which is not acceptable. I have had to contact my card issuer to assist and fortunately they will manage the issue of Carpet Monster fail to agree to collect and refund the carpet.

Really disappointed and made completion of two projects very frustrating.

I would strongly urge potential customers to shop elsewhere.

They came and measured the area for my carpet ( IN JANUARY) I’ve contacted them I think five or six times now and they haven’t bothered to book to fit the carpet. I just keep getting told I will have a call back and they never ring me back. Terrible service, waste of time!

Kept me up to date with delivery, friendly staff. Happy with the carpet seems decent quality for the price. I live north Scotland and a lot of places won't deliver here so I'm happy to have found this shop that does. Local big branded carpet shops were wanting a lot of money and I couldn't afford.would recommend and use again.

Honestly pulling my hair out and beyond frustrated with this company!
Firstly the website allows you to input exact room measurements for the full house deal, but you are then told that the carpet is 4m wide and measurements will need to reflect this.
Secondly is you call and press the option for the midlands site … you are put through to the wrong team and you have to be transferred to the Swindon branch!
I was then quoted more than the package price.
I finally placed my order 10/3 after for a full house carpet package with underlay and flooring for the kitchen. This was placed after being told orders are delivered within two weeks as I was moving into my new home on the 1/4/23…. Plenty of time to receive the delivery, get it fitted and move in but my delivery dates have moved more than three times! I’m told repeatedly it is because the “larger” van has broken down and it’s the only vehicle that can transport my order.
I have a severely disabled son and he is unable to stay in his new home and is stopping with different family members until the flooring is delivered (and fitted) due to his health but this company do not seem to care.
Surely multi runs in the other vehicles or even hiring another van makes sense to help satisfy customer orders until the original vehicle is repaired and back on the road?
The ladies who call apologise and are polite enough, but this whole situation is completely unacceptable. I’ve now asked for a call from a manager but honestly get the impression no one will call me!

Mixed bag. Ordered through a lovely lady in Dundee (Kelly) very smooth process. Then comes dealings with Colchester who were arranging delivery and fitting, not sure of the name of the lady I spoke to but she couldn't have been less helpful if she tried. Fitting day moved 3 times. If i hadn't contacted them, I feel I wouldn’t have known. Nothing she said actually happened including being contacted by the fitter the evening before. Had to contact Dundee (only Carpet Monster office open on a Saturday) and James tried his best to solve the problem but couldn't get hold of anyone as it was a Saturday. Fitter messaged halfway through the day (Saturday) of fitting that he wasn't coming. But he did offer to come the next day, a minor inconvenience and was very efficient on the day.
