What an embarrassing organisation

Arranged my car rental via Opodo which was an utter disaster and brings into question who and how Opodo allow partners into their accepted supply chain generally they sell to customers (applies to hotels and any other service they provide) all they want is your money. Little appetite to help you when things have gone wrong and an even more embarrassing complaints procedure, zero substantiation of their decision not based on fact, zero investigation. Scammers that take your money. Tin pot third party company. Avoid.

I booked car rental through Opodo

I booked car rental through Opodo. I then wen to gold car to collect. When I went to collect it the price which was considerably different to that which was agreed.

I also didn’t receive an email off Opodo confirming the booking but did for the additional insurance.

Fragwürdige Vertragsrichtlinien und schlechter Kundenservice

Bevor ich den Vorfall schildern werde, gestehen ich, mich nicht wirklich vor Mietwagenbuchung informiert zu haben. Es ist also letztendlich meine eigene Schuld, unnötig Geld in den Rachen von Opodo gesteckt zu haben.
Ich hatte einen Mietwagen von Opodo als Vermittler für Surprise gebucht und bezahlt. 326 € für einen dreiwöchigen Aufenthalt im Ausland + 2.000 € Kaution. Das Angebot war verlockend günstig. Tatsächlich hatte ich bei Abholung keine Kreditkarte, sondern nur meine Debitkarte von Visa dabei.
Also verweigerte mir Surprise die Herausgabe des gebuchten und bezahlten Mietwagens.
Der Hammer kommt aber noch! Der Mitarbeiter von Surprise hat mir dann zwei Angebote für einen neuen Vertrag gemacht und diese dann noch nach unten korrigiert. Mietpreis: 300 € + 250 € Kaution mit Visa Debitkarte. Also es ging dann doch ohne Kreditkarte. Das muss man nicht verstehen. So habe ich für den Mietwagen das Doppelte gezahlt und Opodo kassiert die erste bezahlte Rechnung ohne Gegenleistung ein.
Als Entschädigung!? ... für was?
Auch die Kommunikation mit dem Serviceportal ist (wohl gewollt) eine zermürbende Angelegenheit. Nach jeder Anfrage spricht eine andere KI mit einem und es geht immer wieder von vorne los.
Mein Fazit: Lieber etwas mehr bezahlen mit einem fairen und kundenfreundlichen Vertrag. Und von Opodo die Finger lassen....

Horrible customer service

Horrible customer service. The company is advertising one price on skyscanner website. As soon as you click on the button the price changes a lot and the offer you have picked disappears. What a scam!!!

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE - NEVER TRUST THEM FOR YOUR HOLIDAYS

I Have booked with them a 8 seater car and have the voucher showing 8 seats
the car supplier argues my booking is only for a 5 seater car
I phone up opodo but they want £3k in order to supply me with an 8 seats car (which is what i originaly booked and hold valid voucher for)
when i disagree with the live CS they end up referring me to the EMAIL department
when i reach them out on EMAIL, they now refer to the phone/live chat team without willing to assist
and this is how it is going on for month now
terrible service and a company you should never trust

Arnaque sur toute la ligne

J'ai acheté un billet pour un vol qui a soit disant été modifié par la compagnie... Mensonge ils ont juste réservé un vol différent de ma demande sans me prévenir sans m'alerter et avec de fausses infos sur leur appli. Je me retrouve devant la file d'attente à l'aéroport pas de billet. Ensuite une blague, un service client absent qui renvoit la responsabilité sur d'autres... Cout de l'opération pour moi 700€, pas une excuse, pas un euro de remboursement. A fuir

Nog steeds niet terugbetaald

Nog steeds niet terugbetaald, zie al dat er meer mensen met deze partij genaamd Opodo het schip in zijn gegaan, zag bedragen van 3400 euro voorbij komen, wat een schande, veel praatjes maar niks doen, denk dat ik rechtsbijstand in ga schakelen

Absolutely useless

My Husband (an Opodo Prime Members) booked and paid for a flight (about £360(. Upon check in it turns out that Opodo had not paid the airline and so they had cancelled the flight (we had not been notified of this).We then had to book a last minute flight directly with the airline as Opodo were not answering their phones. This cost us around £900+. After about 2 months of chasing, Opodo have refunded the £360 price of the original flight but are refusing to refund us the balance, so we're £540 out of pocket. We will never use this scam of a company again. They literally had one job to do and failed at that and refused to compensate us.

Bei Buchung wird unwissend ein Abo abgeschlossen

Ich hab nur ein Flug über Opodo nach Spanien gebucht.
erstmal wurde DIREKT Geld von meinem Konto abgebucht, obwohl der Flug nicht mal bestätigt war und in der Email von Opodo auch stand, die Bestätigung dauert nur wenige Minuten und ihr Konto wird nicht belastet.
Geld wurde also abgebucht, keine Flugbestätigung auch 24h später erhalten, musste dann ewig mit dem unfassbar schlechten KI Hilfezentrum schreiben, irgendwann dann doch wenigstens die Flugbestätigung.
Ich habe beim Buchen nix weiteres Abgeschlossen oder gekauft, aber dann eine Woche später gemerkt, das ich durch die Buchung des Fluges automatisch ein Abo für zusätzlich 120(!)€ abgeschlossen habe, was noch 5 Tage kostenlos wäre und sich dann zahlungspflichtig unbegrenzt verlängert.
Wollte das direkt Kündigen, in der App erstmal nix gefunden. Da wurde ich nur verwiesen, ich MUSS es telefonisch kündigen. unten stand klein jedoch auch ,,online kündigen“. Hab drauf gedrückt, komme da nur auf eine schlechte Website, bei der auch nur steht ich kann es NUR TELEFONISCH kündigen (auch NICHT 24/7, sondern nur unter Tags). Hab also angerufen, erstmal 5min KI Stimme wieder die die hälfte nicht verstanden hat. Als die Stimme mich dann gefragt hat, ob ich wirklich kündigen will und ich wieder gesagt habe Ja, wurde ich mit einem echten Mitarbeiter verbunden, der mir 8min anstatt mein Abo zu kündigen mir vollgelabert hat und versucht hat mir ein anderes Abo zu verkaufen.
NIE WIEDER OPODO‼️
Mein Flug ist erst in ein paar Tagen und schon jetzt nur versteckte Kosten, schlimmer Kundensupport und nur Probleme.
Lasst die Finger weg und bucht bitte direkt, wirklich günstiger ist es da auch nicht

Opodo's techniques absolutely iniquitous

Absolutely iniquitous. I chose not to sign up for their 'Prime' or any other additional levels of service, complete my booking, enter card details and am notified 'the search has failed. Try again'. I continue, and suddenly fares that were £150 each are £250 each. This evening I've learned an important lesson: never to use Opodo in future.

Stranded at airport



We had a terrible experience with Green Motion Portugal. ,Despite a confirmed booking, they left us stranded at the airport on 8th April because we arrived after closing hours — something they knew when accepting the reservation.

We weren’t the only ones — another young family was left in the same situation. We booked through Opodo, yet neither company has taken responsibility or given us a refund.

Completely unacceptable. Avoid.

Misleading customers

Misleading customers , made a booking flights , offered free trial for 30 days , in 24 hours they charged £ 99.99 . After arguing with customers services they now offer £ 46 refund , but they don’t accept full refund because edream signed up is considered the same . How is that ? Two different names ? Misleading customers .
Be aware , the are cheating .
Never again I will use theirs sites

Scam company- paid to have me and my…

Scam company- paid to have me and my husband on the car, and because the booking main driver was in my husbands name but credit card in mine they told me they can’t edit the name on the booking and that the car isn’t available anymore and if I want one I would have to book it at todays market price or not get my money back. SCAM company they are a broker not the actual company that rent the cars. They also charge you for children’s car seats and additional
Drivers and when you arrive the airport you have to pay again. Hundreds of reports on them saying how they take ages to refund or don’t refund at all.
I am reporting them to the ombudsman

Cheating company !!!

It’s cheating!
I signed up for what was clearly advertised as a 15-day free trial, but I was charged without clear consent and without a fair chance to cancel. The cancellation process is extremely difficult, and customer service does not respond properly.

This feels misleading and untrustworthy. I have requested a refund and cancellation, but the experience so far has been frustrating and unacceptable.

I would not recommend using this service.

Don’t ever hire a car from this company

Don’t ever hire a car from this company, I had a horrible experience with them,
I hired a car I never received any email with booking details , I got there they couldn’t even find my bookings , I didn’t know I would need a PID to hire this car so they didn’t let me take the car , AND didn’t refund my money because “the pick up time was passed “ already by the time we sort this out . Horrible I would give 0 star if possible
