Don't worry, this is definitely not a scam
Always reluctant when you start these things as you always think there is a hidden agenda. Obviously there is a fee that comes out at the end but you know that from the beginning so no hidden agenda here. So so easy, completed short forms over the phone with a polite and lovely person, things posted quickly. Refund obtained and money transferred in optimum time. I cannot fault at all and I would encourage other carers to do this. I cannot express enough that honestly there is nothing to worry about in the process.

Genuine service
Genuine service. Keeps you informed every step of the way. Very easy to use. Waited longer than expected however still had over £1000 pound transferred to my account within a few months. Absolutely recommend if you have been in the care/support worker industry for a few years.

I applied online. A lady rang me to get all Information needed. I was kept up to date every step of the process and money was in my bank before I had the notification telling me. Very happy.

Disappointment
Everyone seems to be happy with the money you received back; I woke up absolutely disgusted this morning. Got quoted £899.80, waited +6 months to now get £548 dropped in my account without no explanation no invoice no statement or anything. They have great people skills,but not enough to charge me a whole £351, for filling papers, chase HMRC and sit tight for months waiting to both get paid ??
I would never ever reccomend this service to any of my hard working colleagues or worse enemy. Do it your self,it is going to be worth the wait. Ridicoulous

Hello Martina, we're very disappointed to read this review as our fees are explained very clearly at the start of the claim process.
Our fees of 40% are explained in our Terms of Service which was sent to you via email on the 9th April, I can see this email was opened at 12:21 on the 9th April and again on the 17th May. We then also verbally disclosed these over the phone with you on 17th May 2021, to which you confirmed you were happy to proceed. If you were unhappy with the fees we charged this should have been expressed then.
We work on a contingency fee basis (a fee based on a percentage of gross refund recovered) rather than a fixed cost, as we believe it’s incredibly important to allow as many Care Workers as possible to access the services of a professional accounting firm to handle their tax affairs. This is a comprehensive process which involves gathering data from a number of sources and subjecting the information to a series of rigorous checks to ensure complete accuracy in your final claim submission. This involves a significant amount of work, so we do feel our fees are competitive and fair.
