Rental return experience
We found a rental return deal from Halifax to Brampton. The pick up was quick and because we chose the various packages in advance it was all ready to go.
We had no issues with the vehicle at all during our 10 day return trip through the various provinces. Our only issue was finding open campsites as it was the end of tge camping season. Our return in Brampton was quick and no issues. Very polite staff in both places. The only thing we would do next tome is have another 34 foot Class C with a slide out bed.

We rented a Maxi Home RV to drive it…
We rented a Maxi Home RV to drive it from Halifax to Toronto. We ended up arriving a couple of hours early for pickup and the team at Halifax was happy to accommodate us. This gave us an early start to our adventure which is much appreciated!

Given wrong vehicle type
I was very disappointed not to receive the vehicle type I had reserved. I had reserved a van months in advance and ended up with a much larger vehicle. There were vans on site, I could see them, but I was told they were for other customers. I wasn't given a satisfactory explanation. This is not like a car rental agency, when one might get a mid-size sedan instead of an SUV: the type of vehicle matters.

At CanaDream, we’re committed to Guest satisfaction, and we understand how disappointing it can be when the vehicle you receive isn’t the one you originally booked. Occasionally, due to unforeseen circumstances such as breakdowns or accidents, we’re required to upgrade Guests to a different unit to ensure their vacation can still go ahead without delay.
In your case, the vehicle provided was only 1.5 feet longer than the one you booked, but we recognize that even small differences can impact comfort and expectations — especially when you’ve planned around a specific layout. We sincerely apologize that the DVC was unavailable on the day of your pick-up and that this change affected your experience.
We truly hope that, despite this, you were still able to enjoy your Canadian adventure and create some wonderful memories along the way. It was a pleasure having you as our Guest, and we’d love the opportunity to welcome you back in the future with a vehicle that’s just right for your needs.

Efficient Company
RV was clean and bedding was good. Paid extra for the kitchen pack and garden chairs - we turned back for the chairs but found a couple of bits for the microwave/oven were missing once we were into our journey, which was a pain!
All in all, a good rental. Thanks

Alles hat funktioniert
Alles hat funktioniert. Die Übergabe ging schnell und ausführlich vorüber.
Negativ punkt ist das Geschier, wir hatte 2 Gläser aus Glas. Das geht in einem Wohnmobil gar nicht, eines ist zersprungen bevor wir das erste mal trinken konnten. Es dürfen nur Kunststoff Geschier verwendet werden.
Sonst war alles ok, wir würden eine nächstes mal wieder einen TCA buchen.

Look for other rental options
Expect to wait when picking up and dropping off. The times given are for their benefit not yours make sure you spend the extra money and buy the insurance, because they will try to rip you off when you bring it back. They are in the business of selling insurance, or charging customers for damage. If you don’t buy it, RV, we picked up was dirty, the slide would not work, and any reply from customer service is AI generated by a computer so don’t pay any attention to them if you have other option to rent for someone else I would highly recommend it.

We hired a RV for our holidays in Nova Scotia, Canada. The pick up and the drop off were fast and friendly. The staff was very friendly. The RV was clean and pretty nice.

The vehicle had no navigation system
The vehicle had no navigation system. The vehicle had no extractor hood. No oven. Only a microwave. The fridge-freezer only ran on electricity and therefore consumed too much power, so we always had to stay at campsites with electricity. That's expensive and not what we like. As soon as we didn't do that, the battery would flash. All in all, we had to constantly attend to the vehicle to avoid any problems. Our vacation suffered because of it. We also had to buy a sleeping bag because the nights were sometimes quite cold and there weren't enough blankets. We could list a few more things that weren't okay. I think Canadream needs to make more of an effort to satisfy its customers. It also costs a lot of money. We won't book with Canadream again.

As the RV industry continues to evolve, many manufacturers are moving away from propane-fueled appliances (such as the gas oven and refrigerator) to enhance safety and sustainability. While we understand this change may be disappointing, these features are no longer available to us as manufacturer options as we work to keep our fleet current.
Our RVs are equipped with fridge/freezers that operate on a 12V battery, which recharges while driving, using the generator, or when connected to shore power. The convection microwave works when plugged into an external power source or when the generator is running. While our vehicles also include solar panels, they provide a limited charge and are not sufficient to fully recharge the coach battery. For Guests planning to camp off-grid, we recommend fully recharging the battery every 2–3 days.
We understand how important off-grid camping can be, and we’re sorry that the need to recharge the battery more frequently impacted your plans. We also see that you visited an RV dealership whilst on the road and they found no fault with the battery, however we appreciate you taking the time to have it checked.
Regarding bedding, we provide duvets and blankets that are generally sufficient for most Guests. However, if additional warmth is needed, we’re always happy to reimburse the cost of extra blankets purchased—just provide your receipt at drop-off.

Très bonne expérience
Nous avons loué un camping car dans la succursale de Halifax. Le personnel là bas était très sympathique et pro. Nous avons reçu un modèle supérieur à celui commandé car le camping-car que nous deviens recevoir n'était plus dispo. Pour compenser le fait que le modèle reçu était un peu plus grand, nous avons reçu une compensation de 500 dollar et finalement nous avons été content d'avoir reçu le modèle plus grand.
De plus, nous n'avons eu aucune mauvaise surprise et aucun frais annexe alors que nous avions fait un petit dégât qui aurait pu faire appliquer une retenue sur la caution. Je recommande canadream et il est certain qu'on ira à nouveau chez eux pour un prochain voyage !
