Canadream unhelpful when part of the vehicle gets stolen!!!
Unfortunately during our trip someone stole the catalytic converter from our van whilst we were having a lovely day out at a popular tourist attraction. We have 3 young kids and the noise when we started the engine upset them a great deal, as did the whole situation of having something stolen. Canadream were not very helpful and we felt like they treated us like the thieves. They actually said due to it being theft when we were renting they wouldn’t even replace the van, luckily it was towards the end of our trip. It ruined what should have been a lovely trip to see the Rockies. I would not recommend Canadream to anyone. I am sure they have policies and insurance to claim themselves and not fork out any money but they are charging us a great deal for something we did not even do. We did not crash, we did not cause damage to the vehicle, we had a part stolen!!!

No heat and fridge door fell off
The heat in the rv didn’t work most of the time, and the fridge door fell off and on to the floor one night

Feedback
Viele Mängel die bei korrekter Wartung VOR der Uebergabe unseres Truck Campers nicht hätten sein dürfen. Unter anderem, bei Regen undichte Dachluke im Bad und viel Wassereintritt durch das Klimagerät, instabiler Tisch, Boiller und Kühlschrank funktionierte nur mit Gas trotz korrekter Einstellung. Wir mussten zweimal nach Calgary zurückfahren. Anfangs wurden wir nicht ernst genommen mit unseren Anliegen.
Ausstattung Küchen – und Bettwäsche minimalistisch. Als wir bei der Uebernahme um zusätzliches Geschirr und Wäsche baten, meinte die Stationsmanagerin wir hätten nur für 2 Personen bezahlt! Schlussendlich haben wir dann aber doch noch das Gewünschte bekommen.
Während der Fahrt hatten wir weiter Pech und Pannen Keilriemen und geplatzter Pneu. Die Kommunikation mit dem Servicecenter war nicht optimal, was weiteren Aerger und Stress verursachte.
Die Abgabe verlief dank Video Konferenz mit dem deutsch sprechenden General Manager von Vancouver konstruktiv, dafür möchten wir uns nochmals bedanken, es versöhnt uns im Nachhinein ein wenig.
Nachtrag: wir machen seit 25 Jahren jedes Jahre Wohnmobilferien in Nordamerika (acht Mal mit Canadream). Zum Glück haben wir nie so schlechte Erfahrungen gemacht wie dieses Jahr. Schon 2025 waren wir auch 6 Wochen mit dem gleichen Typ Truck Camper unterwegs, wir waren mit dem Fahrzeug und dem Personal zufrieden, was uns veranlasste wieder das gleiche Fahrzeug bei Canadream zu buchen. Hätten wir die schlechten Erfahrungen von diesem Jahr schon letztes Jahr gemacht, hätten wir garantiert nicht noch einmal gebucht.

Great service from Canadream. The measure of a good company for me is what happens when things go wrong. Our first RV developed a fault but they were able to quickly get a replacement to us to allow the holiday to continue.

An Unforgettable Cross-Canada RV Adventure with CanaDream
We had an excellent experience renting an RV from CanaDream for our cross-Canada road trip! The vehicle was NEW, clean, comfortable, well-equipped, and easy to drive. The staff were friendly, professional, and helpful throughout the entire process. Everything went smoothly, from pickup in Montreal to return in Calgary, making our trip stress-free and truly memorable. We would gladly rent from CanaDream again and highly recommend them!

Could be a better experience
Overall, it was a good experience, but when explaining the insurance coverage related to liabilities, the salesperson didn’t provide a precise explanation (and in some cases, even misleading information). This lack of clarity led us to purchase a mediocre option, which ultimately cost our company friend $1,000, a cost that could have been easily avoided and made this experience much better
