Camps International Recensioni 

In July 2026, I went to Borneo with camps international for what would become one of the best months of my life. The memories and bonds that are created are incredible and is truly like nothing I have ever experienced. Prior to my trip I had a shy nature, but I have now gained to much confidence from my experience.

I thouroughly enjoyed my camps experience, it was wonderful to experience what travelling would be like !! Especially when it is in a controlled environment where safety is the n.o 1 priority.

I have loved working with Camps over the last two years. They really take the hassle out of organising a trip and handle everything from producing the letters for the parents, delivering the assemblies in school, running the fundraising workshop…etc I have been lucky to have been assigned Charlie Cooke to introduce my next trip and the enthusiasm with which he has delivered his presentation (3 times !) to different year groups in my school is impressive. Once abroad with the pupils, the amount of staff that are deployed to look after you and your pupils is incredible. Our Camps Leader in Borneo was Bear and he was the most flexible, approachable and patient person you could ever dream of. He listened to my pupils’ problems, cared for their physical needs and somehow came up with new ways to entertain us every day whilst making us think about things just that little bit deeper. As a teacher, I would rate the whole experience a 10/10, which is why I’m launching another trip for 2028. The only thing I regret is that my own children never got that opportunity in their own school.

As an accompanying adult on a 4-week excursion in Kenya, I cannot fault Camps International at all. It was an unforgettable experience, made even better by our fantastic team leader, Haydn.

Haydn was outstanding and made our composite group feel at ease right from the start. We visited five camps in total during our stay, each with incredible staff who couldn't do enough for us. The activities were truly meaningful, with ample time built in to rest and take in the beautiful surroundings.

We met some wonderful people, and these experiences will stay with the staff and students for a lifetime. Haydn, myself, and the two other teachers in our group started as strangers and parted as friends.

I would highly recommend this excursion to anyone who wants to see the true picture behind the tourism.

I've been on 2 expeditions as support staff, with Camps International (Kenya and Ecuador), and am signed up for another! I cannot fault them, and have had nothing but praise for the way all the trips are run - from the launch, the sign-up, the help during the long fundraising journey, the pre-departure info and checks, the travel and expedition itself and the people you meet along the way. We've just had our post-expedition debrief, where Camps actively scrutinise for all feedback so that they continually improve the experience for the pupils.

The organisation of every trip is slick and transparent. The staff in the UK are always friendly and ready to help with any issue. The Camps staff in country make every group feel like their favourite guests, and are passionate about giving them the best experience of their country possible.
It is so heartwarming to witness the young people having such a life-enhancing experience. To see their awe at the nature world and to see the change in their perspectives. As school staff, we got stuck in and participated with all the project work and adventures, and were always treated with respect and warmth by the Camps staff.
The 4 weeks went so quickly, and I didn't want to come home! It's wonderful to have someone else plan your full day for you!, to be catered for and to really live in the moment. You get to view a country from a totally different angle to that of a tourist, with genuine experiences with the local people that you just wouldn't have without the Camps connection. I'd recommend accompanying your pupils to anyone!

We traveled to Peru this summer with another school and an amazing Camp Leader, Andy, which I believe made the experience even more unforgettable.
There were some issues with our flights being delayed however Camps were excellent and got that sorted with no fuss.
When we were in Peru, the in country staff were fantastic. The pupils built great relationships with them as well as making life long friends with pupils from the other school.

The community work was a brilliant eye opener for the pupils to see the different lives we all lead and understand we do not all have the same opportunities in the world.

The trek was mind blowing, there were some challenging parts which allowed the pupils to push themselves and step outside their comfort zone with the reward of a stunning Machu Picchu.

I would say to anyone if you can do, do it. As a teacher I am so grateful for the adventure but for the children it will shape and change some of their decisions in where and what they do in life. Absolutely amazing experience.

The Camp's international trip to Cambodia was a truly life changing experience, for both students and staff. It was incredibly well organised and both staff and students felt supported while we spent a month in country. Shout out to Ben Howell for his presentation and support before and after, in country staff and camps staff who were always on hand to offer guidance and support.

As a lead teacher, I found the entire process with Camps International to be informative, well organised, and incredibly supportive from start to finish.

Our Regional Expedition Coordinator, Ben Howell, was an exceptional liaison throughout. Communication was always clear, timely, and professional, and he was on hand to answer questions and guide us through every stage of the journey.

Once in Cambodia, the in-country team were outstanding. Their organisation, attention to detail, and commitment to ensuring everything ran smoothly allowed both staff and students to focus fully on the experience. The logistics were seamless, and the team worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make the expedition a success.

Most importantly, the impact on our students has been remarkable. The trip challenged them, broadened their horizons, and gave them experiences that will stay with them for a lifetime. Many returned inspired to travel more, learn about different cultures, and step further outside their comfort zones. It was genuinely a life-changing opportunity for many of our students.

I would highly recommend Camps International to any school considering an overseas expedition. The support before, during, and after the trip has been first class, and the positive impact on our young people has been immeasurable.

Took a group of students to Tanzania and could not fault the entire trip. Had the most amazing experience and the students have gained so many life changing experiences from this. Climbing Mount Meru was an unbelievable experience for our students and the safari was a real highlight seeing so many different animals! The company put so many things in place to make sure it was run so smoothly and the expedition leader was amazing. We were so well looked after in country and regardless of the location this was the same throughout. Truly a life changing experience for all!

I travelled to Borneo for a 1 month expedition and it was one of the most rewarding, life affirming things I have done!

The whole process of fundraising and preparing to go was well supported and you were regularly checked in with. Each of the camps I visited out there were so friendly and in some incredible places. There were contingencies in place and protocols for if you couldn’t move to your next camp (e.g. bad weather/rough seas) and you felt very safe.

Honestly could not recommend working with Camps enough!

Absolutely amazing! I have been travelling with Camps since 2013 and would not use another provider. The experience is life changing for staff and students as well as the local communities that we help.

I recently returned from a 4 week Borneo scuba expedition, and honestly it was the best thing I have ever done. Every member of staff were so amazing and went out of their way to ensure we were all okay. I have had so much fun and have made friends that will last me a lifetime. I genuinely recommend anyone who is thinking about doing it, to go for it. I have come back such a better person than when I first arrived. I have memories that will last me a lifetime. I enjoyed the project work so much and there were always activities for us to look forward to. Borneo was the most magical place, and I want to thank camps international for all the support I have received, and for making this trip possible.

My experience was amazing, I can't believe all I have achieved throughout the 4 weeks I was in Tanzania. Camps international have really helped me reach better social skills and feel more confident in myself and to not be afraid to try new things, I really enjoyed every minute of it and I think I've come back a changed person.
My favourite moments were meeting all of the local children and getting a real insight into the life they live. I also really enjoyed all of the project work because it made me feel like I've really helped the community. I also really enjoyed the waterfall walk it was absolutely amazing along with the safari that was astonishing!! I left my trip feeling like a changed person and it's definitely made me feel like I'm going to apply to be a leader for camps international when I'm older, I would love to lead teenagers in the same way I was lead through such an outstanding experience. I have just gotten back from 4 weeks in Kenya. I found camps international a very good company to go with. they safety through out the whole trip was incredible and you always felt very safe, and the camps on a whole we so much better then I thought they would be and you always felt like you were at home. the volunteer work was great and always kept you encouraged, you also had a very good daily structured routine.

the food was better than what I thought it would be and a lot of the time you were fed a good meal. you got fed 4 times a day, and it was mostly nice.

I would say a big part of how your experience is depends on the people around you. my group bonded very well and everyone was close friends however at the camps when we shared it with other teams there were some bad encounters.

there we some bad things however. at camp Tiwi a security guard asked us for our numbers and there was poo on someones bedding at the wildlife foundation. I get that these things aren't directly camos fault however there should be a little bit more education. one of my expedition leaders weren't great and they would commend on peoples body sizes and treated children differently depending on how much she liked them.

overall I do rate camps international a good company to go with and I had a very good experience with them. I enjoyed my whole trip and it was very impactful.

Our leader was absolutely brilliant and that contributed greatly to a phenomenal experience

The experience was overall quite amazing. The support from the get go was excellent and in country was just as good. There were obviously a couple of hiccups however camp staff were quick to sort from the chefs all the way to the regional lead. Our Expedition Leader was exceptional and worked with myself and the other staff member from the school we were attached to as a great team.

It was incredible, they opened me up to so many experiences were incredibly welcoming and made every part of the trip an experience I will never forget!! I would recommend to absolutely anyone wether your a teacher or a student it may seem scary or unknown but once you get there you will absolutely love it.

My son has had an amazing 4 weeks in Kenya. Experience of a lifetime!!!

My son has just returned from his 4 week stay in Kenya . What an experience he’s had he’s loved every minute he’s learnt so much and he’s made friends and memories to last a life time .
