Deplorable after sales service
One star is too much for this after sales service. Fast enough to sell a caravan but slow at rectifying issues. Still awaiting infill cushions so we can make our 4 berth van into an actual 4 berth!!!
And no table (removed by previous owner I imagine) yet. When are you expecting these and when will you let us know!!!!
This has been going on for weeks and weeks, your ‘couldn’t care less attitude’ when we contact you is rude. (Especially when we are told more than once ‘Sold as seen’). Isn’t this illegal to use that phrase now?? I would not recommend Campbells to ANYONE!!

We had our caravan serviced at Cambells
We had our caravan serviced at Cambells recently for the first time. We sent a detailed photograph report to confirm some parts we needed to be replaced. During the service I was told that I had given them the incorrect details and the wrong parts were ordered. This was my fault and I was told I had to pay for the postage to return the incorrect parts. These people have no customer service skills and are completely incompetent. We will never be returning, if we could we would rate Cambells at zero.

Great customer service from Campbells. We’re new to caravanning but are loving the experience. Bought our first van in September 2023 from Campbells and the customer service experience was so good we returned when upgrading our van in January 2024. I can’t imagine us going anywhere else, their after sales service is fantastic and we always feel that they have our best interests at heart.

Bought our brand new Bailey autograph 81-6 earlier this year and loved every minute of it.sadly had a couple of toothing problems but the team at the service centre sorted it all out.Would just like to give a big thanks to Michell who organised everything.I would highly recommend this company and will always have my repeat business from now on.

Bought a brand new motorhome
Bought a brand new motorhome, 2023. Several problems including leaking roof skylight, repaired by nearer dealer and all seemed well. Washing the roof and noticed a small "dent" along one side at the front of the "luton"and then another irregularity on the matching side close by. Checking the corresponding inside sections the finishings are half inch from where they should be, obviously the inner has been taken apart and very poorly reassembled. Obviously the motorhome did not leave the factory in this condition.. Lets see if Campbells can offer any explanation.. I will send publish photos if Campbells needs them, but I think they are well aware and have been expecting this review. REPLY: How many motorhomes with this problem have you sold.? Mine is the 816 with the damage you are already aware of. PS: Its also odd how the motorhome came "paired" to two mobile phones that don't belong to me, as is the cloudy patch on the top of the drivers side window that looks like it has been accidentally over sprayed with some sort of lacquer. PPS: Really need an explanation and then we can move forward.

We were looking for a good part…
We were looking for a good part exchange deal around the West Midlands. We happened to phone Campbells in Preston as they had the caravan we were looking for and offered us a great part exchange deal. My husband travelled from Birmingham on 12th October to collect our new Bailey Rimini caravan. All the staff were friendly and helpful throughout the whole process from the first phone call until collection in person. We would recommend Campbells to anyone looking for a caravan.
Where to start
Where to start? Poor call pick up in the first place. Bought a brand new sprit major in 2018. Tried to book the van in for simple warranty work, the door lock had failed. First Campbells told me it was out of warranty, I explained it wasnt. Then Campbells told me the door manufacture said it was out of warranty, it wasnt. Waited 4 months for the parts to be delivered - they'd ordered a new door instead of a lock. Eventually repaired. Gas strut to front locker failed. The repair was a total bodge and looked awful. Their attitude was that it was in the locker so it didnt matter and the fitter said it was the best he could do. I drove away after receiving assurances that if the problem recurred it would be sorted. It did occur after 3 trips but was told that the warranty on the repair had expired. So if their bodged repair lasts for 12 months they're in the clear. Appeals process was to escalate to the manager who happened to be the person who had given the assurances (she had been promoted), then to contact the director whose address I was given. I received no reply and later found out in my spam folder that my email had been blocked. DONT CONSIDER USING THEM
Don’t be hoodwinked by this company
I am writing the rather disappointingly in relation to a 2020 Coachman VIP575 which unfortunately for us we purchased from yourselves last year - I shall apologise now for my tone, however our experience with Campbells has left an extremely bitter taste our my mouth.
I note on their website that they quote "Coachman Caravans, who are known for their exceptional craftsmanship, build quality and of course high luxury." - I certainly have to beg to differ with this statement.
Last year we purchased our caravan from yourselves for £28k - today we have sadly sold it for £18k due to the amount of damp - 60% readings of which had so called been repaired a couple of months ago - but today after an independent inspection we find out that it was an extremely botched job and the whole underneath is rotted.
We put our trust into Campbells last August, and for what? to keep losing money on a caravan which initially seems was not even inspected by yourselves prior to selling!!!!!
We did want to sell it back too Campbells - however sadly they didn't come back with a price.
Every issue was a chore with the after sales team, and it in fact got to the point where we gave up.
We shall now being seeking legal advise on this matter to recoup some of the money we have lost - avoid this company at all costs unless you’ve got £1000’s to give away

The worst cusomer service I have ever had…
Awful absolutely awful dealings and customer service from the top to the bottom. Spent just shy of 30k last year on a used van which to us was an awful lot of money and we were so so excited about collecting. As newbies we specifically asked Neil the salesman for a full and thorough breakdown and in depth explanation of the van at collection as we have never stood foot in one before. He promised us a “half day” handover which would include showing you how the motor mover works, how to get water in and out of the van, filling aquaroll ip and showing us the pump and then all the indoor panel settings etc, you get the drift. Collection day came. On first note the van had not even been cleaned on the outside and had a very deep ingrained mark running down all the side if it. Not happy.
The handover was useless. 4 hrs we were pencilled in for. It lasted 36 minutes before the chap said that’s it now I need to go for my Friday bacon butty!
I didn’t even know how to hitch the van to the car.
The day after we went away in it. No water could get into the van. The pump was broke which had so called passed its test on its PDI. So 12 months in and we have had several issues with the van. This is where they are dire. The team of girls in porta cabin will argue with you. So much so I have had to put the phone down on them. It’s like they cannot book a repair in without accusing you it’s your fault. They will try their utmost in getting out of repairs. I managed to get a 12 month warranty out of them but it’s not worth the paper it’s written on.
This is the worst customer service I have ever dealt with from any organisation or company I have managed to deal with.
It went back for the intial mark all down the side- on collection it was still there.
They refused to repair my motor mover when it was under warranty.
I had a service at another test station thankfully and they found damp. Had to wait months for them to sort it and it was very hard working with them getting them to do it without arguments with the staff of girls in the porta cabin.
Every time I’ve taken the van in they wanted proof of receipt that I had a 12 mo th warranty and each time I was told I should not have that.
Whilst it was in for repairs I got them to add an extra plug socket to the van. I got an estimate of approx £100 which I thought was a little excessive as I was even providing the £30 socket. They did the fitting and then called me to say that they don’t know who quoted me £100 but the total bill was over £300. £300 for a socket to be fit which I even provided. No thanks.
So I am very glad to say the warranty has now finished and
Even in that time the van has been taken elsewhere for better professional repair with top customer service. All these reviews on here are correct in my opinion and I will never ever go back to them for advice or anything whatsoever to do with caravans. This is a true and honest account of my personal dealings with them.
Supportive, "down to earth' and competent staff
Very knowledgeable, professional and friendly staff who listen and respond respectfully. They have gone the extra mile for me and our Elaine. They give free uncondersending advice to novices like us and Jenny, Emily and Ella's Mum in the shop are amazing human-beings who have helped and advised us through this newbie caravan stage. Mark, who gave an overview of the caravan, the features, function and benefits and was very clear, humarous and knowledgeable. Brilliant handover. Could not have asked for more at the outset of our caravan journey

Excellent communication from Campbells
We purchased a new Coachman caravan from Campbells earlier this year.
We went with this dealer as our salesperson; Daniel Campbell was very responsive and helpful prior to ordering and also as they are our most local Coachman dealer.
Throughout the excellent sales process I was kept well informed and Daniel was very helpful sourcing additional items for the van such as the television we required.
On collection day there was a misunderstanding regarding our spare wheel which we had been told would be fitted back underneath the van following retro/ pre-collection fitting of E&P & motor-movers. Daniel (who was on his day off) emailed me to say don’t worry I’ll get this sorted- and he promptly did.
It would have been nice if the van had been valeted inside, as the manufacturing plastic and tape was still present, but, we did receive a very nice bright red, branded Campbells hitch cover.
We had some ‘niggles’ with our new van, as it seems is typical with any new van. These were manufacturer, not dealer issues and were registered with the service team on the day of collection/ the first few trips out in the van after collection. Most of these were sorted by Campbells service team very promptly on one follow-up visit.
There are two remaining issues which are registered by Campbells with Coachman and we are awaiting a fix from the manufacturers. So, Campbells have done everything they can from the dealers perspective to support us with these issues.

A little underhand.
It would have been nice to have been told about the advisaries on the new mot and not finding them by accident among the paperwork when I got home

Absolutely appalling service.
Over 8 days, 5 messages were left for Neil in sales to return our call without the courtesy of a reply.
We only wanted to buy a motorhome for 69k.
If this is an example of their interest at this point, I dread to think what the after sales service would be like.
They don’t deserve business.
New purchase
After collecting out Bailey Phoenix 640 last week, which was ordered last September. We have had a great experience from the company, with none of our questions leading up to the purchase being too much trouble to answer.
Handover day was extremely good with lots of helpful advice. Nothing too much trouble. We cannot comment on after sales as we really hope we won’t need it.
We are now looking forward to many happy holidays.

I bought an awning at the caravan and…
I bought an awning at the caravan and motorhome show in Manchester in early Jan 23 which they said was in stock and I would receive the following week. It’s now 18th of Feb. I was told delivery would be the 17th and I phoned up today to ask what was going on and the person who answered the phone was very rude putting me on hold without saying she was doing so twice …then she told me the rep Samantha was too busy to talk to me and would sort it out on Monday 20th by phoning Annabelle the supplier of the awning. £1500 paid up front and really bad customer service ….
