Really enjoyed this course. It is our first time owning a dog and Darren taught us a lot! We have come away feeling confident in techniques we can continue to practise. Really nice class atmosphere.

Excellent experience. We have been thrilled with how well our dogs have come on.

Thea is a wonderful trainer.
However, the experience was spoilt by the fact it was held in an outdoor horse arena that contained lots of
horse mature - massive distraction for a young black lab..!!!!!
Also the arena lights were not working so session was held in almost pitch darkness.
Please ensure that they will be for the next time.

Training arena is good and the instruction was good though a little rushed at times. The weekend has passed and as yet no homework has been received. 2 training opportunities missed.

I would recommend Byron training because their knowledge,patience and understanding of what is required to get your pet to the standard you would wish them to be, whether that's to a basic well behaved pet, or to the higher level of a gun dog.
1-2-1's, block courses or one off short session are all available to suit everyones needs.
Staff are always responsive to answer any questions/queries you may have regarding your dog training via their Whatsapp or during training.

All the trainers are passionate, knowledgeable, and patient, making the training process a breeze and a joy 🐾💪.

Darren knows exactly the best way to get the best from you and your dog. Each session you come away with valuable knowledge and elements to work on.

Very easy to book, pay and rebook if necessary. Good training insights, very enthusiastic about my dog (which is a must for me) and give access to a community of like minded interested people.

Yesterday I took both of my GSP’s to Darren from Byron Gundogs for two one hour 1-1 lessons.
My 6 month old puppy has just completed the Puppy Foundation course with Darren and I wanted to do some work outside with her to see if we could replicate what we had done in class in the hall. The session was great and we went away with some homework to master but I was so pleased that most of the tools and education from the foundation course was still present and Darren was great at helping us to improve even more.
My other dog is an established field trialling dog. She is challenging and showed Darren all her naughty and excitable faults! This actually was perfect as Darren noticed several issue that I was creating with body language and provided me with some really valuable tools to take away and practice.
Highly recommend Darren and his crew!

Great trainers. All very knowledgeable and supportive. Small classes mean lots of focus and individual attention. I've joined skill specific classes, 1:1 training and Sunday Gundog classes and my dog and I have both benefitted and enjoyed them all. It is fun. You don't have to be an active field sports person to benefit from the excellent training.

Amazing experience with every element of the service. Darren quickly responded to elementary enquiries with helpful information. The booking process is convenient and clear. Thea is superb, she is excellent with dogs and humans. Personable, a great teacher providing clear guidance and demonstrating with our Dog to help our understanding. Thea is knowledgeable and incredibly easy to work with we have loved our 1:1s and will continue because of the excellent teaching.

We just wanted to say a big thank you for the training our family received. It was a real team effort, and we especially appreciate Darren for going above and beyond to help us with Waffles’ behaviour at home.

We’re definitely looking forward to the Winter Training! Thanks again for everything!

First rate across the board, Darren, Mark and Thea are welcoming, helpful, empathetic and reassuring. Most importantly they are deeply skilled in all aspects of training, from beginners through to advanced. They know dogs and importantly they understand owners. I highly recommend them and don’t think you have to be dead set on training a fully fledged gun dog, the basic training is exactly that, the basics of any dog obedience and control.

I was lucky enough to win a training pass with these guys and I can honestly say its one of the best prizes I've received.

From day one the team have been nothing but super friendly and my dog Fig has been throughly enjoying our sessions together. It's absolutely strengthened my bond with her and improved our teamwork.

Everyone in the group have been super supportive and encouraging. Its so refreshing to find people who don't judge, but simply offer help, guidance and constructive feedback.

I will definitely continue to attend classes after my winning pass has come to an end and would absolutely recommend these guys to anyone looking for a relaxed, fun supportive atmosphere to training with your dog.

I recommend Byron gundog training 100% - both of my dogs have come on leaps and bounds from the Sunday group classes, which are challenging yet super fun and engaging for dog and handler. They cater for everyone across all levels, and are suitable for pets, working pets, working dogs and those wanting to compete in working tests etc. everyone is welcome!! I have also benefitted from 1-1 teaching on specifics, and the workshops are brilliant for getting right into the detail of real life scenarios I.e hunting, and the holidays are great for spending time training with like minded people - great fun. The trainers are brilliant, personable, approachable with expertise across breeds, which is great, as we know they are all very different! The grounds they use are wonderful with a mixture of cover, grass and woodland and prepare you for getting out and about with your dog. Come join us!

I contacted Byron dog training about a course. They replied quickly and I was able to book onto a course to start within a few weeks of my enquiry.

Took my 12 month old lurcher for a one on one session a few weeks ago with Thea.
It was fantastic everything we did got my dogs attention and she absolutely loved it and we both learned so much.

Darren is hands down the best puppy and gundog trainer we've ever worked with. The puppy classes were incredibly informative, and what really sets Darren apart is his ongoing support, he's always happy to help with any questions or challenges along the way.

We also did a month of one-on-one training after our first pup completed the foundation class, and it made a huge difference. Our 9-month-old Schnauzer is now wonderfully well-behaved, calm, and gentle, a real credit to Darren’s guidance.

Our newest puppy, now 4 months old, will be starting puppy classes this week and we’re confident she’s in the best hands. We can’t recommend Darren and the team at Byron’s Gun Dogs highly enough, although, we have to admit, our favourite member of the crew is Byron himself (Darren’s dog)!

Darren is a fantastic dog trainer and definitely has a way with dogs. We are now going to progress onto the gundogs for beginners course. I would 100% recommend.
