Good card but frequently gets declined…
Good card but frequently gets declined even though the shop accepts it because they haven’t updated their systems. Could have more retailers also. Cashback is average in most shops with a few offering a higher rate.

Every store has a unique number referred to as the Merchant ID. Unfortunately, if we do not have this number provided to us by the retailer, our bYond card will not work as the retailer will come up on the system as unrecognised.
We will always do our best to make sure our systems are up to date, however it is the responsibility of the retailer to let us know their ID numbers.
If we do locate a retailer/store who we partner with where we are missing ID numbers, we do then speak directly with our partner to add these to our records. Very sorry for the inconvenience.
We will always be on the look out to add more partner stores and do our best to offer a competitive cashback/discount rate.

Refund for Byond card
I recently acquired a Byond card and was charged a card processing fee. Upon receiving the card, I reviewed the list of accepted retailers and discovered that major stores, such as Tesco, were not included. As the card's limited acceptance made it impractical for my needs, I promptly cancelled it. To my surprise, my request for a refund of the card processing fee was denied. I consider this policy to be both wrong and unethical. I urge bYond card management to immediately refund the card processing fee.
Upon receiving my bYond card, a £5 charge was applied. Given that I have since canceled the card due to it not meeting my requirements, I request a refund of this charge.
I find the processing fee for my Byond Card to be unwarranted. I specifically called your contact center to clarify the nature of this fee and was assured it was refundable. This directly contradicts the undisclosed non-refundable policy. Since I have not used the Byond Card for any transactions whatsoever, I feel I've been treated unfairly and request a refund of the processing fee.

The initial fee that is paid is for access to the bYond program and unfortunately cannot be refunded, as access was granted to you. This cost also covers the processing, distribution and physical card that was sent.

No cash back received
Doesn’t really cover where I like to spend.
I have never received any cash back from my purchases; everything is pending - permanently.
Not going to use the card again, or put money on it to use.

When you use your bYond card at a participating location, as soon as the transaction has settled we will show you how much you've earned. This will be pending for the first 30 days, after which we will pay it to your account and store it in your Vault. From here, you choose when to add it to your card balance, so that you can put it towards your next purchase.

Would be a 5/5 if I could set it up so I could use it on my Apple Pay wallet so I don’t have to carry the card around with me like all my other cards

poor app and webapp design
The website cannot be visualized properly both with edge and chrome browsers. The app has a lot of design issues, as icons that appears below the phone controls (so hard to select).

Wouldn’t bother
Wouldn’t bother. You cannot add the card to Apple Pay, can’t view the card details in the app, the authentication hardly works and the list of retailers is poor.
Seems like their software engineers are 10 years behind and can’t keep up…

Whilst the list of participating retailers is growing it is still quite limited. Especially petrol retailers.

Difficult to use
Difficult to use, also poor customer service. I asked for my automated renewal to be cancelled as I no longer want the card/ subscription. But it appears I have been charged again any what, despite asking twice for the subscription to be cancelled.
